(I love the way you play this game, it's so laissez-faire ;)) ).

Just enjoy messing around with the various traps and what-not. Back to the Mousoleum with the Sinister Portal, Explosive Base, and Radioactive Blue. Reading through the Mousehunt guide has brought me to understand the importance of simply camping out and hitting the button whenever ;)) like fantasia_kitty said originally.

Edit:

After the pathetic whining and sniveling I did on the previous page about hunting in the Moosoleum. Got the Lycan Moose and the Furoma Map Piece in three hits of the trap upon initiating the hunt in the Moosoleum. Go figure. Was expecting to even go as far as getting Moon Cheese or going back to Town of Digby. That'll learn me.

Upon the recommendation of the Moosehunt Guide, staying in the Moosoleum for a while. Need to level up anyway.

“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”

Well, I am now the proud owner of an ACRONYM trap!

My next step is to head to the Lagoon and try to get the blueprints for the SS Huntington II. I might build up a little gold here in the Catacombs first though. :-s I haven't really decided yet.

By the way, ceppault, it's Mousoleum not Moosoleum. ;)

I didn't pick up any loot in the warpath this run, but I am finally through with my latest run through there. I went and picked up another Furoma assignment. For all except the catching a mojo with ambush, I've zipped through this one thankfully. I'm camped out in the Meditation Room hunting master mice to pick up enough to craft a bit of Rumble. I'm using the Sphynx trap.... Good trap. ;))

I've been selling some of my flameshard stash on the marketplace. I've picked up enough gold in the last 24 hours to get back over the 2 million in gold mark. I'm selling one final batch and then I'm holding onto the rest. I still have like 600. ;))

And on top of that, yesterday, the Keeper's Candle dropped during one of the hourly trap checks! Now, I can go the Acolyte Realm and the Forbidden Grove.

Nice! Let the rune farming begin! ;))

Well, I am now the proud owner of an ACRONYM trap!

And congrats on that!! :D And now you will make loads of gold every time you visit the Catacombs. ;))

My next step is to head to the Lagoon and try to get the blueprints for the SS Huntington II.

Good luck! :)

;)) As Kat can tell you, I often run whining to her when things aren't quite going my way and as soon as I do, I snag whatever it was I needed. :P

By the way, ceppault, it's Mousoleum not Moosoleum. ;)

He's well aware. :P ;)) You should see his posts on Facebook.

I've been selling some of my flameshard stash on the marketplace.

What a brilliant idea!! :-o *sticks some flameshards on the Marketplace*

Well, I wrapped up the Muridae Market late last night, bought supplies, and have settled back into the Warpath for another run. This will HOPEFULLY be the last run I need to top off the gold for the Reaper's Perch. I'm working my way through Wave 1, and I will hopefully wrap those guys up quick and be on to Wave 2 by early tomorrow.

Surprise surprise. . . You're going to beat me to it :P Oh well, I expected it. I bought my third metamorphic rock last night, so I'm halfway there.

Trying to nab a steam grip mouse so that I can finish this library assignment. I haven't done an assignment from winter yet (and it's about to become winter sometime this afternoon), so I'd like to start one of those as soon as possible.

Maybe sometime next week I'll reach the required 900 library points? Maybe???

I decided to go after a Library research project and it's taking longer than my last furoma assignment! ;)) I'm going to stick it out and see if I can't catch the mice that require the physical trap overnight. If not, I'll smash it and go back to Furoma. I'm 50 points away from 900.

And yes, fantasia and I whine back and forth. ;)) It tends to work for everything but the loot drops in the warpath. ;))

I need to start figuring out what all I need for the Reaper trap. Hmmm... more runes definitely. I have the droid parts and the onyx stones. So I guess just the runes and the metamorphic rock and the blueprints of course.

I am now the proud new owner of the Reaper's Perch thanks to Kat's excellent suggestion of selling Flameshards on the Marketplace. :D That sure got me the gold in a hurry, and I have 200,000g+ to spare! LOL

Anyways, it's back to the Warpath with me to continue gold farming until the next big "thing" is released that I need money for. :) *crosses fingers for a Papyrus Base upgrade*

You know, it really doesn't make much sense. The library assignments take me around 30-50 hours to complete. They're not always the easiest either. That being said, more advanced ones (such as the SG research) are a piece of cake, and can be completed in five hours or so. It can definitely be frustrating, Kat.

I've been on this assignment since Saturday afternoon. . . I just need a steam grip mouse, I've attracted like ten of them, but haven't nabbed a single one. Probably not going to do another library research assignment for a while.

I did end up smashing my assignment and going back to furoma. I am now hunting for the various parts of the Zurreal trap! I topped 900 library points at the end of my last assignment.

Complete luck of the draw. The other day I completed one in 2.5 hours and a second one in 6 hours. I've had some in the past that take me several days. The Library ones aren't necessarily hard, but they do rely on the right mouse coming by your trap at the right time. But there is a reason that once they released the Zurreal assignment I didn't do very many Library assignments after that. ;) Pagoda assignments all the way!!

Good luck on your Zurreal assignment Kat! I found it to be really fun. I liked it about the same as the Acrostic assignment and I hope they release more like those two. :)

Well, I cleared out Wave 1 this morning and moved onto Wave 2. I'm having much better luck this wave than I did the last one. ;)) I've already gotten a streak of five and used a commander's charm successfully. I'd love to clear the Scouts and Archers by the end of the day today.

Well, I'm strapped for cash the way it is, so I refuse to do any assignment that requires me to have a special trap or base that I don't have already. Especially when I'm trying to save up money for the Reaper's Perch, as well as for the Baron area.

That, and I don't have the spellbook base yet, and thus don't want to start any of the really advanced research that may require it half-way through *rolls eyes*

The Zurreal assignment is static and requires you to get the trap parts to build Zurreal's Folly. No special traps or basis required to complete it. The only extra gold you'll spend will be on travel costs.

Um. . . oops. I copy and pasted the wrong quote :))

I meant to quote you on this:

But there is a reason that once they released the Zurreal assignment I didn't do very many Library assignments after that. Pagoda assignments all the way!!

I'm a senior in college. . . that allows me to have a few "Senior Moments" right :P

LOL, even if you had just used the college excuse I'd give it to you. College seems to suck the brain cells out of your head.

*Continues to tear up the Wave 2 mice in the Warpath. 30-0-23-35-11*

So I've been sending some PMs to a few Mousehunters that don't visit this thread very often anymore, and it sounds like pretty much EVERYBODY is interested in participating in tournaments. I think my team is going to be determined for me due to the amount of MHers that are only friends with me on FB. ;)) As it is, depending on how many people they allow per team, we may need to make three groups to cover everyone. I know shastastwin was potentially interested in leading a group as well. We'll see what happens. ;))

*wishes they'd hurry up and release tournaments!!!!!!*

I've caught two Hydra mice so far but neither dropped ship blueprints. I did get five scrap metal, two or three simple orbs, and one rope from them though. I'm not really surprised that I haven't got the blueprints yet. Although, the past few times I've needed stuff to be dropped, it's dropped right away. I can't remember specific examples though. :-

Anyway, hopefully it will drop soon! I'm at 67% on my way to Hero.

EDIT:

According to the Wiki, the Bolt of Cloth and Rope only drop from the Hydra Mouse in the Lagoon and onboard the SS Huntington II. Since I'm gathering Cloth and Rope in order to build the Huntington, does that mean that the Lagoon is seriously the only place where those two items drop? That seems weird. I'd think there'd be other places where you could get that. Oh well.

I guess that stuff isn't all that expensive so I can buy it if I have to. I don't have a super high catch rate for the Hydra with the best setup I have (Ambush trap + Dehydration Base + Gnarly cheese + Lucky Golden Shield) and I don't have tons of Gnarly or Wicked Gnarly cheese. I have 51 Gnarled Cheese right now and I only have 3 Gnarled potions and 10 Wicked Gnarly potions. Rather than going and getting more potions, I think I'd be better off (and it'd be faster) going back to the Catacombs now that I have the ACRONYM and farming gold until I have enough to buy everything I need.

I just looked up the NVMRC trap because I've seen it mentioned in trap set up options a lot in the Wiki. The description is hilarious!

The NVMRC Forcefield Trap was named after the Non-Violent Mouse Removal Charity (NVMRC) group which championed the belief that mice, both violent and non-violent, should be caught through non-lethal methods. The group is no longer in existence.

I don't know why that's so funny! I guess just because the way it was written, it makes it sound like nobody liked their ideas and that's why it no longer exists. ?? I don't know, I just find it really funny.
