I'm up to 1.86mil gold this morning so I'm moving right along on saving up for Reaper's Perch.
It's like a race seeing who will make it first. I'm 99.99% sure that you will.
Oh are we racing? I guess we are unofficially. I'm not completely sure I'll get it first. I may be in an area that makes more gold, but when I finish the Fiery Warpath, I go and buy 600 Gouda in one shot, as well as however many ionized salt, charms, and whatever else I need. I usually drop several hundred thousand gold doing that. Plus I always get a lot more gold than I need before I buy a trap so I don't get stuck. So we'll see. I passed 2 mil gold last night so I'd say it'll take me another week or so to get the rest of the money I need.
Bought a shadow trap. Had all the cheese stolen for over an hour. Got annoyed. Sold it back. Going back to original plan and farming gold until I can get a much better shadow trap. That and a Digby Drillbot.
Some reading material for you while you farm gold for a while....(third paragraph down )
I love the way you play this game, it's so laissez-faire
*agrees*
Well, I finished up Wave 2, cleared out the Scouts in Wave 3, and moved onto the Archers. They'll be demolished yet this morning and then it's onto the Warriors.

I'm working on Wave 3 in the warpath. I think I'm going to stick out this round in the warpath and then go back to library research. I'm just too close to the end of it. 8-0-42-51-21-13
I'm just about ready to wrap Wave 3 up. I have 18 Cavalry Mice and 6 Mage Mice left. Got my Wealth Charms equipped and am raking in the dough.
I'm looking forward to FBF today. I'm hoping it's not a complete disaster like last week's was. As always, I shall edit my post with any interesting updates.
ETA:
~Ok, so they are going to add new ways to get King's Credits, new ways to earn SB+, and they're recreating the way you put new skins on a trap as well as adding a lot of new skins.
~Tournaments, now that the Scoreboards are done, they're working on Hunting Groups, the Party Horn, scheduling tournaments, and tournament rewards.
~They are doing tournament rosters with a max number (maybe 8?) and then each tournament will have a tournament max (maybe 4?). So you can swap people out. If there are two tournys going at the same time (4 people and 4 people) the same team can join both. And I THINK they said you can have two parties from the same team in the same tourny. YES!!!!!!! SO HAPPY!!!!!!
~New tourny types, endurance (like the old tournys with the multiplier, hardcore) charm style (multiplier is based on charms, much more passive), super basic (no multiplier at all)
~Old tokens can be transformed into the new tokens for the new system. Chests can be opened and you'll likely get tokens and maybe trophies saying you did the old tournys.
~The members can join the tournaments on their own, but the captain sets up the original team. And it sounded like the captain of the team can still sign up players as well.
~Halloween will be awesome, but they're not saying anything else about it.
~Don't look for the Living Garden any time soon. There will likely be other areas released before they finish up the Garden. Because of the way the Garden is designed on paper, it requires Tournaments to be fully complete before they can do the Garden. (They've said in the past that it's going to be a team effort area.)
~The Pygmy Wrangler mouse that Jacob drew a couple weeks ago has not been added into the game yet. They're too busy with Tournaments.
Loads of goodness today!!!! And I'm so ridiculously excited about the return of tournaments!!!
^^Wow that sounds exciting! I like that there's going to be new ways to earn king's credits and SB+!
I'm currently at 530k gold. So close to my ACRONYM!
FK, I know that I have participated in maybe one tournament (and that was WAY back when I was starting out in Whisker Woods). Perhaps it would be prudent to describe exactly what a tournament is, how they work, and those sorts of things. Tournies have been out for such a long time, that most of us have never played (or had the opportunity to play) in one.

Agrees greatly. Because frankly I have no idea what they are.

I can tell you how tournaments USED to be, but they're making several changes so I can't necessarily tell you how they will be on release. And if I miss something, hopefully Kat can help fill in the details.
I used to be the leader of my tournament group. My team was Kat, Aravanna, and my husband. There was a tournament page in the game where you could go to see the full list of available tournaments to be played, as well as a separate corkboard so you could leave notes and stuff for your teammates (like which tournaments you wanted to participate in and such).
The best example I can think to give you of a specific tournament was the Monster Mash tournament. It looked something like this...
Monster Mouse - 10 points
Zombie Mouse - 7 points
Steel Mouse - 5 points
Bionic Mouse - 5 points
Granite Mouse - 4 points
Mutated Mice - 2 points
So you'd head over to the Laboratory with your best trap setup and Radioactive cheese and then you'd hunt like mad trying to catch as many Monster mice as possible in a certain period of time. For every mouse on the above list that you caught, you got that amount of points for your team.
The multiplier was another feature in tournaments. It was directly tied in to whether or not you caught a mouse. So lets say my team goes on a hunt....
Every one of us four catches a mouse. So they multiplier goes up four notches.
Three of us catch a mouse, but I miss my mouse. The mouse that I DIDN'T catch will neutralize someone else's catch, but the multiplier will still go up two notches.
Two of us catch a mouse and two of us don't. We've negated each others catches, the multiplier doesn't move.
One person catches a mouse and the other three don't, the multiplier drops two notches.
All of us miss a mouse, we may as well quit the tournament now.
The multiplier is incredibly important because whatever it's set on, will double, triple, quadruple the number of points a mouse is worth. If our team could get it up to x3, then a Monster Mouse suddenly is worth 30 points instead of 10.
The one super annoying thing though, after I think one full hour of nobody on the team hunting, the multiplier resets back to zero.
Another thing I should explain is the Group Hunter's Horn. I think most of you know by now that if you're in the same location as somebody, and your click your hunter's horn and your friend is ready to go on a hunt, you'll take them along. In tournaments, the Group hunter's horn overrides that feature and no matter where your hunting team is, if they're ready to go on a hunt, all of you will go at the same time. So lets say my team is catching Ghost Mice and I'm in the Catacombs and Kat is in the Mousoleum. As long as she doesn't have a King's Reward and her horn is up, if I click my Group Hunting Horn in the Cats, she'll go along with me in the Mousoleum.
The prize system sounds like it's being completely revamped so I'm not sure I should even bother explaining it aside from the fact that the higher you placed in a tournament, the more tournament tokens you got (which they never added a use for to the game) and if you were one of the top three you got a tournament chest (which still cannot be opened ).
Oh! Something else I should mention, tournaments varied in length (from just a couple hours to a full 72 hour weekend) and difficulty (catching Whisker Woods mice to a tourny dedicated to catching Black Widows o.O ) so there was always something for everyone. I tended to shy away from tournaments that use standard cheeses because inevitably there would be a group that had infinite supplies of SB and they weren't much fun to compete against. So tournies that used cheese like Gnarled and Radioactive Blue were some of my favorites.
Sooooo.... I think that's about it. Hopefully my long explanation hasn't turned into incoherent babbling and everyone is more confused than they were before. Questions?
*doesn't have a thing to add* Nice explanation.
I'm at 0-0-0-7-8-1 on Wave 3. So hopefully sometime today, I'll swap over to wave 4.
By the way, DiGs and Kat and I have been PMing back and forth, and I think all three of us are curious, is there anybody who is NOT interested in participating in tournaments? We're trying to make sure that everyone who wants to is able to get on a team.
Well I wrapped up another warpath run last night, and then buzzed over to the Library this morning just to do a quick assignment. I finished it so fast that I went ahead and grabbed another one and I think this one will take me a little while longer.
After that I'll probably head on back to the Muridae Market for 5 Papyrus and then start in on another Fiery Warpath run.
I actually restocked my cheese and a few charms last night, so my gold total is just above 2.1mil. Getting closer to my Reaper's Perch. I'm definitely going to make a priority to get that trap before tournaments are released.
*is very excited for these tournaments*
They sound fun
I'm still in the Catacombs at the moment... I'm up to 207,503 g.

Well, after PMing back and forth with FK, I think we're good on setting up two different teams from Narniaweb. If they do indeed allow 8 people per team, that would give us 16 people. FK and I are probably going to be the leaders of the two teams. FK's team will probably have fewer slots for NarniaWebbers due to the fact that she will also have some family members on hers, but mine is wide open for any and all NarniaWebbers to join.
At any rate, still in the planning stage for now, so we'll have to wait and see how things turn out.
I finished a 30pt library task, and started another. Making a good profit in the library too, almost up to 700K.

Just to let everybody know, I suggested to DiGs that the two of us be team leaders due to the fact that he and I are probably Facebook friends with more people on here who play than anyone else, so I suggested that he and I lead the teams in the hopes that nobody gets left out.
If there is anyone else here who is dying to lead a team, that's fine, just let us know.
And we're not making any further plans on team setup until we get more official news from the devs.
OOh, I'd love to be on a team!
And I'm at 589k gold! So close to that ACRONYM!
Good luck, NAH! Did you get the rest of the scrap metal that you needed? (Perhaps I missed that). Let us know when you get the trap!
I'm still in the library. I'll probably finish up my task this evening, and start another one as soon as I'm done
Member of Ye Olde NarniaWeb
Digs, yes I got the rest of the Scrap Metal. I got that long ago. I have 26 now.
I'm at 628k gold so I'm super close. I'll probably be able to get it later today.
And on top of that, yesterday, the Keeper's Candle dropped during one of the hourly trap checks! Now, I can go the Acolyte Realm and the Forbidden Grove.
