I got my horrific Venus mouse trap (Thanks FK for the gold)
I'm back in the guantlet... (mostly because I can't afford to be anywhere else at the moment XD

THANK YOU FANTASIA!
I won't be able to take it for a test run until I get back, but that should make Furoma interesting!
Aahhhhhh sweeeeeet!!! They just announced that they have finally found a piece of technology that handles scoreboards so well that they can be updated live!
AND! Because they are FINALLY done with scoreboards, the entire group at HitGrab is going working on tournaments.
And I guess there is going to be a month-long September tournament event.
*FBF is suddenly interrupted by the fire alarm *
*shall continue to update this post when they return and FBF continues*
XD Fire alarm! We just had one yesterday, very annoying (Though I missed it cause I wasn't in the building )
I'm excited for these tournaments... It will be fun to see how they work

If the fire consumes the MH servers, my guess is that glitchpaw mice would be a permanent addition to the game .
I'm back in the library just chillaxing until I can get another assignment (I just smashed one). I'm hoping to get one centred around the Spring season in the SG (it just became Spring at 11 AM EDT). Either way, I'm sure I'll be heading in there before too long.
EDIT: Started a Mystic King Assignment, but I needed the Bamboozler base partway through, and so I've smashed it. Tell me again, why you can't see your entire assignment when you start it, to know whether or not you want to follow through with it? T'would have made a lot more sense.

I'm hanging out in the Catacombs and have been ever since I last posted. I'm collecting Scrap Metal and gold. I still need one Scrap Metal and about 400k gold until I can build the ACRONYM. The Catacombs builds up gold pretty well so I'm just going to stick around here until then. Unless, of course, I need more Radioactive Blue potions in which case I'll have to head pack to the Laboratory. However, I still have fifty-one plus one Corrupted Radioactive Blue potion which I'll probably never use because the cost is so much higher per cheese piece.
Yeah, I don't even know why they keep the corrupted radioactive blue potions in the game. You get the regular radioactive blue potions so much easier, and they're half the price to use. The same can be said of ancient potions (which are just a rip-off to use).
I got my new assignment. Hopefully this one won't require any special traps or anything. My first part was to catch 30 mice in the SG. Using amplifier charms, I was able to fill my amplifier, so once I hit 30 (I'm at 22 right now) I'll be heading into the tower for another mystic run. WOOT
EDIT: CRACKERS! My task required the bamboozler base (SMASH!!!!!!!!!!). Any ways, I did fill my amplifier, so it's time for another Mystic Run. Hopefully this one will result in a torn mystic page. Afterwords, I think I'll stick with Library research. . . none of those require special bases, even if they do reward you slowly.

I am currently in the Pinnacle attempting to catch the Master of the Dojo. (Thank goodness for MHWiki--if it wasn't for that, I would be nagging you guys ALL the time!! Or I'd still be in the Windmill or something! )
I haven't caught the Assassin Mouse. The Wiki suggests using Zugzwang's Last Move trap--do I have to have this trap in order to catch him? Any other suggestions?
Tournament?
Love God, love people

What trap are you using? I highly doubt that you will have much luck unless you are using Ambush. Look up the Ambush trap on the wiki and see if you meet the requirements to craft it. It'll suffice you for several levels.

ZLM is an upgrade from you MVMT, but I don't think it is as good as Ambush. If you wanna buy it, fine, because you're going to need it later (well. . . much later), but I didn't have it throughout furoma, and I did fine. The Assassin Mouse is difficult firstly because she's rare. You might attract her in one out of one hundred hunts. In addition to that, she's quite tough too, so you might not nab her on your first try.
My advice. . . craft Ambush as soon as possible. A Mojo (Master of the Dojo) is going to turn the MVMT into a smithering pulp. The Dojo sensei would do even more than that.

I'm gonna second Digs. I caught mine with the Ambush.
I was doing alright for a while in Derr Dunes... I'm suprised

Yea, I did just fine getting everything I needed throughout Furoma without ZLM. I got my Assassin mouse with the Mutated Venus trap. According to the information about the Assassin mouse (found after clicking on the "Mice" tab), a Tactical trap works best which is what the Mutated Venus is. According to my stats, I missed him four times before catching him (or her, the picture on MH looks like a her).
P.S. I also got a twelfth and thirteenth Scrap Metal. I just need about 350k gold before I can craft the ACRONYM. I'm going to have to think of another goal for after I do that.
EDIT: Nevermind. I know what I'm going to do next. I had it all written down in my MH notes. I have an entire notebook within OneNote dedicated to MH. I'm going to start working toward the SS Huntington II. So my first step after the ACRONYM is work toward a Hydro trap so I can get the ship blueprints as loot instead of spending some 600k on them.

I may be wrong (I usually am ) but the first hydro traps that you will have access to are in the SS Huntington II. So you won't be able to get a hydro trap until after you've crafted it.
That being said, you can catch a Hydra mouse (what drops the blueprints) with a decent tactical trap. It's not impossible. I got my blueprints as a loot drop off of a hydra mouse, so it's not entirely unheard of.

Well I got my Rhino Horn... Now I just need more gold...
Anyways I'm changing my list of needed things...
(In order of most needed to least)
1) Stale SB+
2) Radioactive Blue Potions
3) Gnarled Potions
4) Stale Cheese
5) Mozzarella
Edit:
12:30 pm - Derr Dunes
I returned to check my trap, but it appeared a Derr Chieftain Mouse had eaten a piece of cheese without setting it off.
Nooo... Don't make it easy for me [/sarcasm ] Anyways I caught the others just need him, but if I don't get him I'm going to Cape Clawed so I can work on all of the Chiefs and the Champion simultaneously. In other words I need more cheese...
Edit 2: Or I might go to the Lab and get some RB then hit the catacombs.... or I might go to Furoma... or the Lagoon.... or back to the Gauntlet... Yeah I don't know where I'm going yet
Edit 3:
8 mil points - Horrific Venus Mouse Trap
12 mil points - Ancient Spear Gun
14 mil points - Tribal Base -> Upgrade to Tiki Base
16 mil points - Rhinobot
17 mil points - Enraged Rhinobot
17 mil points - Ancient Box Trap
17 mil points - Ice Maiden
18 mil points - Molten Shrapnel Base
20 mil points - Clockapult of Time
Currently working on the RhinoBot (I need more gold, points, and Stale SB+) and the Tribal Base (I need more gold and points)
I also need a Shadow Trap Upgrade really badly. The question is what should I get and where is it? Remember I only have the Sinister Portal.
Edit 4(ish):
2:57 pm - Derr Dunes
I sounded the Hunter's Horn, but my efforts were fruitless. A Derr Chieftain Mouse ate a piece of cheese without setting off my trap.2:30 pm - Derr Dunes
I returned to check my trap, but it appeared A Derr Chieftain Mouse ate a piece of cheese without setting off my trap.Additionally, the fiend pillaged 3,407 gold from me!
Awwe come on! You know if I can't catch you yet can you at least send one of your little minions so I can get some gold? And I'm not even a little bit lucky?
Edit 5 (I promise this is the last one): I opted for the lab

Ok... been gone all weekend. What'd I miss?
Tell me again, why you can't see your entire assignment when you start it, to know whether or not you want to follow through with it? T'would have made a lot more sense.
I agree with you completely. The only assignment I've done where it didn't matter was the Acrostic assignment and that was a temporary assignment. If you're going to be in the middle of a Tower run, you should know what you're going to need before heading in.
Or I can just tell you that the Tower assignments will sometimes require the Bamboozler Base or Aqua Base and they're both cheap if you want to just buy them.
I still have fifty-one plus one Corrupted Radioactive Blue potion which I'll probably never use because the cost is so much higher per cheese piece.
Yeah, unlike Ancient and Runic Potions, you do still make a profit using Corrupted RB potions, so I did use them back in the day when I was too lazy to go farm more regular potions. But now with the regular RB potion making an appearance on occasion in the gift of the day box, I doubt I'll ever use Corrupted potions again.
I am currently in the Pinnacle attempting to catch the Master of the Dojo.
Yeah, congrats on the Mojo (nickname for the Master of the Dojo) And the Sensei as well. WITH THE MUTATED VENUS MOUSE TRAP!!! Holy cow!! I just want you to know that with your setup, the average catchrate for the Sensei is 6.63% That's about 1 out of 17. Crazy!
So my first step after the ACRONYM is work toward a Hydro trap so I can get the ship blueprints as loot instead of spending some 600k on them.

You are correct DiGs. Your first Hydra catch, n_a_h, will have to be done with a Tactical Trap. And unless you're me, that shouldn't be a problem.
I also need a Shadow Trap Upgrade really badly. The question is what should I get and where is it? Remember I only have the Sinister Portal.
Oooh, I left the Gorgon trap off the list cause it doesn't require very many points to get (only 7.5mil), but that's the one people normally get cause it only costs 989,000 gold at Cape Clawed, vs. the Clockapult which is 2.9mil gold. :O Obviously the Gorgon isn't as good as the Clockapult, but it'll certainly get you the first round of mice in the Jungle of Dread.
And good luck catching the Derr Chieftain!
Well, I really only signed in once in a while over the weekend, but I did get my Papyrus (total, 56) and I'm onto Wave 2 in the Warpath (28-12-34-39-14). I'm over halfway to all of the gold I need for the Reaper's Perch so I'm coming along nicely on that.
My tower run is going quite slowly. I'm not catching a lot of the mice, but my amplifier is still at 96%, so I'm sitting in high cotton right now. I've got one more rook to go before the queen is released. (Maybe I'll have my queen by tonight if I'm lucky?)
I'll probably just hang out in the library completing simple library assignments for a while. I'm getting bored with tower runs . Good news though, I make a decent profit in the library, so I should be heading towards my next metamorphic rock (I either have two or three. . . I can't remember which )
EDIT: Got my second rook. Mystic queen released at 89%? I CAN DO THIS!!! Oh, and I've got two metamormphic rocks right now. Probably gonna buy my third when I'm done with this tower run.
