Ah yes, Glitchpaw mice, my old friends! Do they ever invade the Seasonal Garden or the Tower?
Well MHWiki says they're everywhere, plus you can always just use the Trap Effectiveness button to tell you what mice are in your location.
And Congrats on your library card
Another question, with Glitchpaws be attracted to all of the Gauntlet Cheese?
"The mountains are calling and I must go, and I will work on while I can, studying incessantly." -John Muir

They're not listed under my trap effectiveness, so I'm doubting that they're in the Tower.
Correction: I've released the mystic knights, not the rooks. So. . . I'm guessing that that double run I mentioned is next to impossible . Oh well, I'd be happy just finishing the run I'm on right now.
Wolf, I probably should know what the glitchpaw mice are attracted to in the gauntlet, but I have no idea what they are attracted to, or what they drop

Narnian At Heart, I don't know whether you have access to the mousoleum yet, but it's a much better place to get gold than the Town of Gnawnia. Heck, just about anywhere is better than that place . You do need a shadow trap to hunt in there, but hey.
I'm not laughing at you. I'm laughing at my stupid mistake. I am currently in Dojo. I traveled back to the Town to get cheese, not gold. Yea, I've hunted in the Mousoleum a lot because it is a good place to get gold.
I was about to say, "Poor soul! Anywhere is better than the Town of Gnawnia!!!" Good grief, hunting in the meadow is even more profitable now that most of the mice there are dropping orbs (which can be sold on the marketplace).
Gotta love funny mistakes .

Well, I completed part 1 of my assignment (which can be seen in the spoilers on the previous page), and now I'm onto part 2, which says
Re: Glitchpaw Mice: I don't necessarily trust the Wiki on where they show up because they add new locations all the time. And as far as showing under trap effectiveness, it doesn't show the Prize Mice either, but those can show up anywhere/anytime. I suspect that they can be caught in all locations with local cheese, but if you're dying to catch one, it's a good idea to check the MH forums where they'll list confirmed catches. And they also usually stick around for a couple days.
Congrats, DiGs, on your Library Card. Are you going there after you finish your current Tower run?

That's the plan as of right now. My amplifier is down to 30%-ish, so I'm guessing it will probably be sometime tomorrow that I'll get in there. Hopefully I'll nab the things needed to make this a successful tower run, but if not, I guess it's not the end of the world. I get to go into the library, and I'm excited!

I'm going to share a sorta spoiler relating to the Library in order to save people from potential frustration in the future. From this point on, don't sell your traps or bases back unless you're truly desperate for gold.
I finished up Part two of my assignment, Part three states
I found the corresponding assignment for the
So probably before heading into the Tower, I'm going to go around and pick up a few bases in the hopes that I don't get in there and find I can't complete the assignment because I don't have the right trap setup on me.
Slightly frustrating... the Library is definitely NOT my favorite area.
*Is typing this for a second time... thanks to the lovely gremlins/glitchpaws
From this point on, don't sell your traps or bases back unless you're truly desperate for gold.
*Knew she was hanging onto those for a reason*
No glitchpaws yet, though I got a few loot drops...

Honestly? At this point, I'm ready to boycott the library assignments.
I've still got a long way to go in the Warpath and the Market.

Yeah, that's not an option for me personally. You have to complete the assignments in order to catch Zurreal. However, if you get an assignment that's really irritating, you can always smash it and get another one because they are slightly different.
I'm going to copy the assignments that Kat and I, as well as my husband, are working on so DiGs and everyone else can prepare.
Variant #1 Seasonal Garden Research Assignment
5 tasks spanning the seasons. One is to catch a certain # of mice (any) in the SG while the others are catch a certain # of a certain mice using a certain trap, certain base or certain power type. You get all of the task at once.
[Note: my husband got this one so here's an example of this assignment...
1 Winter Mage Mouse using the Ancient Spear Gun
1 Fall Familiar Mouse
30 Mice in the Seasonal Garden using the Bamboozler Base
3 Over-Prepared mice using a Tactical Trap
2 Derpicorn Mice using a Tactical Trap]
Variant #2 Technic/Mystic King Research
A task with 5 parts. You must go at it step by step, getting the next part as you finish one. Each part has their own variations too. Here are the ones I've collected:
Part 1a: Catch 30 mice in the Seasonal Garden. *Kat*
Part 1b: Catch 20 mice in the SG using a Tactical trap. *FK*
Part 2a: Catch 10 mice in the SG using ZFM *FK*
Part 2b: Catch 10 mice in the SG using Bamboozler base *Kat*
Part 3a: Catch 8 Technic/Mystic Pawns *Kat*
Part 3b: Catch 8 Technic/Mystic Pawns using WBWT *FK*
Part 4a: Catch 2 Technic/Mystic Knights using Aqua
Part 4b: Catch 2 Technic/Mystic Bishops
Part 5: Catch Technic/Mystic King
a&b are the variants, it's not always a, or always b. You can get 1b->2a->3b->4a->5, for example, or 1b->2a->3a->4b->5, and all the other possibilities in between.

Up to 98%. I love Spring.
I think I've about decided to ride this assignment out. I may take a break after this and go hunt in the Market or the catacombs for a bit. I'm a bit light on gold. But for now, I will stay in the SG as my amplifier is no where near high enough to make it in the tower.
Ok so I got impatient on Tier 1
If you are one of the impatient types, you might try DiGs's method of the King's Gauntlet. He could describe it better to you than what I could, but I think more or less he set a target number of potions, exp 15 Tier 6 potions, and then went back and forth between Tiers 1-5 until he had that many potions, and THEN he proceeded. Obviously you'll want to research how many potions you'll think you'll need. Also, I don't know this for sure, but I suspect you may have a lot of trouble with the Eclipse Mouse without an Ancient Box Trap. Just so you know.
Based on that I've decided not to head into any Tier unless I have at least 25 pieces of cheese (I might double that number for Tier's 7 and 8) And yes I'm expecting trouble on Tier 8... I might just stock up on potions get the ancient box trap and come back, but I'd like to try for a few hours there first. Also I'm planning on staying here 'til I level up again, since I'm so close (91%) anyways.

If you want to tackle the Eclipse Mouse before you have the ABT, you certainly can. The ACRONYM trap does decently. But I gotta be honest, I think you're making this area a LOT harder for yourself than it needs to be by tackling it now.
But at the same time, I totally understand wanting to get that area done and out of the way.
111%/175% in the Seasonal Garden.
*Inserts that warning smilie that can be found on the chat*
???!!!!!
Okay so before supper I crafted (and I'm 90% sure I equipped) 3 Tier 3 cheese... and I caught a Knight Mouse. Well when I came back from supper and I blew my horn I caught a lockpick... and I had Tier 2 cheese equipped. I (re?)equipped Tier 3 cheese and checked the Mice Page to make sure I wasn't mixing up my mice. When I returned to my Camp page my Knight Mouse entry was switched to a Rogue Mouse.
I PROTEST!!!!!
Ok sorry, had to vent again ... evil gremlins/glitchpaws
Anyways...@FK you're probably right, but it is my favorite area... (and it was either this or enter the Derr Dunes with 50-70K gold- though I'm up to almost 300K now) And those mouse silhouettes are just so tempting
Honestly though I really haven't been having horrible trouble up until Tiers 6 and 7, in which I have the proper traps, but by then I'm running low on cheese. And Tier 1, but I think using cheddar might be impacting my attraction rates...
But yeah I know, I tend to attempt tackling things too early *coughDigbycough*

Nope, you're not alone. The old Gremlin (I like that one ) is back again. That happened to me earlier too only it happened in my favor. (Got a stale and when I refreshed I had caught a mouse.) It's a known bug and here's what they say on the forum.
Changing Logs
Occasionally you may get a hunt that changes - this is caused by double or triple hunts/trap checks. The first one is a fake the last one is the real hunt. No extra cheese is removed for these fake hunts, they are just ghost journal entries.
If this has happened to you we can run a fix to make any loot/mice from the double hunts appear, so please contact support, using the bug report section.

In other words, when this happens to me, it's when I hit the hunter's horn at the same time I get my hourly trap check.
