I'm wondering, should I continue to save for the Venus Mousetrap, or head on over to the Bazaar (I've got the ticket) and repair the two map pieces?

Do both. Gaining access to the Mousoleum will get you a supply to a fair amount of gold (then again, you'll need a shadow trap for there. . . that's another issue), but good gold is definitely available once you get in.

As for which top do first... I recommend getting access to the Mouseleum.

I have the Mousoleum (not the repaired one, the normal one), but I'm out of Radioactive Blue potions. I'm currently in the Laboratory getting some more of them.

@Melian, I think DiGs is thinking of the Catacombs. Hold off on that one since you can't get in there until Legendary and there's no point in spending the money now. You'll want to repair the Furoma map piece first.

@Chloe, I'm sure you've maxed out your luck already so I don't need to tell you that, but just in case, max out your luck. And HUGE congrats on that Black Widow!!

@N_a_H, repair your Furoma map piece (takes a day and you won't be able to go to the Training Grounds in the meantime) and get yourself a tactical trap.

My tower run started out going perfectly! I managed to catch all eight Mystic pawns without a single FTA. Now, however, I have caught a Technic Pawn. The forboding is scawwy

One thing that is probably giving you a LOT of trouble is the fact that you do not have the Swiss Army Mouse Trap. I would definitely consider saving up for that as soon as is possible.

If you're still early on in the game, then I'm not at all surprised that that's all you've gotten, but seriously, get the SAM; I remember it being the first "REAL" trap I ever owned.

@Digs, I thought that was ACRONYM?

I agree with Digs on the Swiss Army... That's a definite jump up from the Trebuchet/Rocketine... I remember getting it and being like "wow where has this been all my life?!!"

Also when you're able to- get the Venus Mouse Trap... You're going to need either it or it's upgraded counterparts in numerous locations...

Edit! Also Jedi... Make sure you get a tactical trap before heading into Furoma and a Shadow Trap as soon as you go to the Mouseleum...

(PS. You can find trap prices on MH Wiki. Just search for the trap you want or where you can get it from. It has lots of other stuff too. Though you probably already knew about that XD )

ACRONYM is the first trap where I felt that I had actually joined the ranks of the "Upper ups." I remember thinking that it would take me forever to earn the gold to craft it. Now, I could earn that gold in a week or less

Another thing to consider, Melian, would be to upgrade your bases. You're probably still using the stone base, which is fine for now, but as soon as you get to furoma, upgrade to the bamboozler base. A lot of people seem to like that one (although I, admittedly, have never used it). This is assuming, of course, that you meet the point requirement for it.

My tower run is going insanely well. I just started yesterday afternoon around four thirty-ish, but I've already gotten my first rook! That just leaves one rook, one queen, and one king for me to nab. The really good news? My amplifier is still at 101%!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I have 48 of the 60 Runes I need for the Ice Maiden trap. The Tribal Isles weekend inspired me to go ahead and stock up on Inferno Havarti, so I'm spending some time there before returning to the FG for a while.

How many pieces of Inferno Havarti do you have, Stwin? Even with the Ice Maiden, you've got a very low chance of catching a dragon. That being said, you'll make decent profit off of the other two mice in that area.

*needs only 16 Stale SuperBrie+ for her Enraged Rhinobot* And after that, I'll probably head back to Jungle of Dread and try to get another piece for the Ancient Box Trap.
