Got my Plushie! Thanks. :D I see Larry's Sandwitch is also available, and I don't have that either so I'll happily take donations. ;)

Right now I'm trolling various people's FB pages in search of charms, and so far I've visited Wolfy and FK's page and I've gotten a ton of Luck and Power Charms as well as an Attraction and Dark Chocolate charm. ;)) The latter looks really sweet, haha...I'll be hanging onto it for a long time until the opportune moment presents itself!

Yeah, usually when you hit a milestone in MH, you can post it to your FB wall and there is typically a charm attached to it. You can't click on your own links but you can click on everyone elses, and it doesn't look like they really expire. I think there's only a certain number of charms per link, but I'm going as far back as March and February and I'm finding charms that are still good. :D

I have my Icewing Plushie as well.

The blueprints for the four new bases are available in the Shoreline now.

Spoiler
Each one seems to be specialized for a specific area of the Iceberg.

Basic overview of the new area:

Spoiler
There are 5 areas within the Iceberg, each with a different type of mouse. Catching them advances you into the Iceberg, while failing to catch them keeps you where you are or pushes you back. I caught a Snow Soldier and advanced 4 feet. You can use the Wax and Sticky charms to move forward more or keep from moving back if you fail to catch. A pack of five Charms can be purchased in the Iceberg for 1 War Scrap. So far FTAs don't seem to affect you.

The form of energy that is required for the bases seems to be a drop from the General of each group of mice (though I could be wrong there). The bases require varying amounts of this, from "moderate" to "huge." There will be lots of trap part farming in order to finish the bases. ;))

There are also bonus chests that you can open based on how many hunts it takes you to clear the Iceberg: one for fewer than 275 hunts, fewer than 350, and fewer than 425.

The Icewing Mouse is the boss mouse for the area. And the Wolfskie is back! :D

There is also an Ice Drill which can be used up to five times per Iceberg run. It advances you 20 feet per use and allows you to skip General mice who must otherwise be caught to move on to the next area. It is powered by Drill Charges which cost War Scraps and the new energy source, Bottled Cold Fusion.

I think that's everything that we have for now. Uncertain of distances and numbers of mice required to advance.

ETA:

Spoiler
Trap checks count in your # of hunts for the Iceberg.

Oh I thought you meant on the MH page Gymmie, they do that sometimes for events :P

A few more stats:

Spoiler
A Wax Charm caused me to move 9 feet when I caught a Snow Slinger. Not sure how much of a boost that was, but anything is worth it.

Based on Larry's descriptions, the Brutes and the Zealots will be the groups to use Sticky charms against. They are the ones most likely to knock you back, it looks like.

Also, it takes 342,000 gold to buy all four base blueprints and 32 Wire Spools, 20 Frosty Metals and 21 Heating Oils to craft them all.

ETA:

Spoiler
I advanced 5 feet catching a Snow Soldier with a Wax Charm, so I think it's safe to say that in the first area, the WCs add 1 foot to your normal movement forward.

I am at 18 feet, 5 hunts in the first area.

More info:

Spoiler
advanced 9 feet with a wax charm when I caught a polar bear. Missing a polar bear caused me to move back 4ft

and a question:

Spoiler
Anyone know how many feet we're supposed to be covering?

Edit:

Spoiler
Chipper Mouse + Wax charm= + 16 ft!

Edit I'm at 21 ft in 3 hunts

Edit:

Spoiler
I see now it didn't say anything about wax charms when I caught the chipper mouse... I wonder if they only work on certain breeds

Edit:
Ok more speculation:

Spoiler
I believe wax charms only work if you catch a mouse that's not in the group you are aiming for... for example if you catch a polar bear when hunting for tunnel rats... while catching the mice you are aiming for appears to give you larger advances anyways... ex the chipper, which is a tunnel rat got me 16 ft. I'd still like to know how many feet each of the five areas is though...

wolf,

Spoiler
I'm guessing about 200 feet. There's a white bar about a fourth of the way down the tunnel and I'm at 52 feet. Not sure if the white bar is actually an indication of my progress. Haven't paid attention to it before.

As far as I can tell, the Wax charms work on all breeds.

Other mouse advancement stats:
Chipper - 16 ft w/wax (no bonus),
Snow Soldier - 5 ft w/wax, 4 ft none, -4 ft miss
Snow Slinger - 9 ft w/wax, 8 ft none, -4 ft miss
Polar Bear - 9 ft w/wax, 8 ft none, -4 ft miss
Incompetent Ice Climber - 5 ft w/wax, 4 ft none, -4 ft miss

I'll try to keep these updated as we move through the 'Berg.

Wolf, I think your theory about Wax Charms bonuses is correct.

52 feet, Hunt #8, Section I

Edited to update stats.

ETA: Also,

Spoiler
the Steam Laser Mk. I is smashable. kat has theorized that the upgrades will be crafting formulae we must figure out.

I just bought the drill which does exactly what it says... I'm wondering if it's upgrade-able as it also has a mk 1 on it ;)

@stwin,

Spoiler
it does move with progress and I believe you're right about 200 ft... question is is that for the whole ice berg or just the tunnel rats?

I did some poking around on the MH forums looking for stats. Wolf's theory about the wax charm bonus

Spoiler
is somewhat correct. The Wax Charms only give a bonus when you catch mice from the Invader class. That includes: Snow Soldier, Snow Slinger, Polar Bear, Incompetent Ice Climber, Wolfskie, Living Ice, Snow Sniper, Snowblind and Ice Block mice. All other mice will not be affected by the Wax Charm bonus.

Also found some estimated lengths to the sections:

Spoiler
Tunnels - 300 ft, Bulwark - 300 ft, Bomb Run - 1000 ft, Mad Depths - 200 ft, and Lair - 0 ft.
I think the first one is a bit high, but oh well. Also, a picture of the whole iceberg can be found here.

I'm guessing that's also true about sticky charms given the description... (I should have looked there first) But I'm trying them out now and they do exactly as they say.

Spoiler
in response to the lengths I'm noticing the picture in the hud moves down as you progress...

Edit currently 72 ft hunt 10

If your basing it off of me remember I just used a drill charge... But it looks like we're doing roughly about the same

80 ft hunt 11

Edit
Also Digs you may want to consider getting the new trap because currently I have 300 more power than you with the power bonus... and your bonus would likely be even larger given your base has more power than mine... Though you'll have less luck

Edit: Another thing too is the new bases will help because they're suppossed to increase the amount of certain types of mice you attract... I'd have one by now, but buying the new trap left me broke...

Wow, jealous of the new area! :p

I believe that the first thing on my to-do list when I have access to the catacombs, is to buy the obelisk of slumber (which I almost have enough for), then hunt until I can afford the ACRONYM blueprints, correct?
