I don't see the need of Papyrus. Dragon Jade surpasses it in every way except for Freshness

I second Deconsecrate. Both the Magma and DJ are straight upgrades of the Papyrus and I have them both. Plus the Golden Base combined with Champion's Charms blow all bases out of the water so I haven't bothered to buy the Papyrus Base. I do have all 98 Papyrus on hand and ready to go if I ever need to buy it for some reason. (Upgraded base, Library assignment, etc.)

Eh, taking a break tomorrow with a Cats tournament. My team is comprised of Knights and Lords, so it's pretty much the only thing we have a reasonable chance of success at.

Good luck to your team! I also like the Indigenous and Bazaar Burglary tournaments. But I guess if you don't have the Monstrobot you probably get destroyed by the higher level teams huh?

@wolf, cool list of crowned mice. I might have to do that too sometime. You definitely have a lot more crowns in the King's Gauntlet than I do.

Congrats Gymmie!!! Looks like the only mice you're missing now (aside from SB only mice) are the Eagle Owl, the Master Burglar, and the Zombie mice. All of those will be really easy to get in one or two more levels so you're in really good shape. And it looks like you should either level overnight or early tomorrow morning. yay!

Well tonight my team came from waaaay behind in our Slushy tournament to place in the top 25%. yay!

We're getting very close to 90% of the Huntington upgrade being complete. I'm back in the Slushy Shoreline where I shall remain probably until Iceburg opens. I'm anticipating that unless there is a last minute big push, it will open overnight tomorrow night while I'm sleeping. I guess we'll see.

wolf, if you don't mind my asking, what setups have you been using in ZT? You seem to be having better luck then I have with catching the Kings. Although, I do have high hopes for this run.

Well, all in all I've had a really good run today. Still chuffed about those Cherry mice.

I'm at 98% Journeyman, so I should rank up to Master during the night. I just finished stocking up on cheese and charms (I'm taking Kat's advice and buying them in batches so it doesn't hurt so bad, lol), and I'll hang out here until I level up. I think I'm going to go to the Laboratory first, since I can get by with my SAKT. I'll probably hang out there until I have enough gold and points for my MVMT at which point I'll head over to the Great Gnarled Tree.

Thanks for all the Gnarled potions, btw everyone! I'll be needing those soon, so I appreciate everyone who sent them to me from the Gift of the Day.

I just got the Steam Laser... It gives me a 2100 special power and 3 luck when armed with the MSB and soft serve charms in the Shoreline... it appears that the amount of bonus power does depend on your set up, but luck seems to be stable

I'm gonna stay in the Shoreline until the Iceberg arrives or until it turns Fall in the SG... whichever comes first.

And last night, I caught the last of the Shadow Mice. My first check mark.

Right now I'm at the King's Gauntlet, trying to make my way up to some of the upper levels.

Thanks. Yea, that's the exact same setup I use minus the Attraction charms. And I did catch my king less than an hour after I posted that.

The only reason I was contemplating going after the papyrus base was because I'd heard that there was going to be some sort of upgrade to it, which would be pretty much the most epic base in the game . I guess I'll skip it for now. I can always come back and farm papyrus.

Yeah, they had mentioned that as a possibility after they released it due to the very negative feedback that a Baron-level base still wasn't as good as the LE Magma Base. But it was a possibility only, not a definitely statement, and not long afterwards they released the tournament bases. So I have no idea if we'll ever get an upgraded Papyrus base or not. I have the 98 papyrus ready to go just in case.

Whether you're buying them in small batches or one big block, it doesn't matter, you're still spending gold that you probably ought to be saving for traps and bases at this stage in the game. Stock on charms via people's profile posts and don't buy them until you absolutely have to (imho ).
And congrats on leveling to Master!! I always found that Master was when the game started getting really fun. Introduction to potions, four new areas, new trap types, yep.... loved Master level.

In the future, if you're not using SB+, I DEFINITELY recommend using attraction charms. I found it made a noticeable difference in the FTAs I got (or rather, didn't get) and those FTAs kill your amplifier. I think you'll have more successful runs if you use charms.

After slowing to a crawl yesterday, the hull fragment collection rate seems to be picking back up again this morning. I think a lot of people got bored with the area and left (understandable) figuring that everyone else would collect fragments. But then 'everyone else' left too. (Plus, there are two 3-day Tribal Isle grand tournies going on right now, stealing a lot of people from fragment farming )
I think a lot of people noticed the slow-down and have returned to the Shoreline again. My prediction is that the upgraded Huntington will be finished overnight tonight. If not by then, definitely tomorrow at the latest. Maybe before I go to bed at the earliest. We'll see how close I get.

Well... I was saving up to buy that trap before the Iceberg was released... and now I have it so I'm back, but once it turns Fall in the SG I'm going to head there to finish this assignment... unless there's an limited edition thing going on...

Two questions. One, is it luck or fact that I seem to get more potion loot drops in the Lab using Swiss as opposed to RB?

Second, is there anyone who is doing indigenous hunting that would like to do tourneys with me? I'm barely Master and I'm still working my way through various locations, but since I'm here, I'd like to try my hand at tournaments; it can't hurt and there could be some points to be gained.

Let me know if there's anyone who'd be willing to take me on, if only for certain tournaments.
