Just put two and two together on an interesting detail.

Spoiler
The Icebreaker Mice have sub-groups.

Tunnel Rat: Chipper, Icebreaker
Brute: Yeti, Snow Bowler
Invader: Incompetent Ice Climber, Polar Bear, Snow Slinger, Snow Sniper, Snow Soldier, Wolfskie
Bomb Squad: Saboteur

That's what the different base blueprints are for then...

ETA: Yes DiGs, I'm getting lots of lag, and not just on horns (though those are the worst). I'm not surprised with the new set of stuff released.

Is anybody else experiencing a LOT of horn lag today?

It seems to be glitching a lot lately. One thing it keeps doing with me is, I'll blow the horn, and it'll say right after, "2 minutes remaining". And 2 minutes later, it'll let me blow the horn again. :-o

Another time, it said "15 minutes remaining". I came back half an hour later, and it still said "15 minutes remaining". /:)

This happened on different days.

This could possibly be because of friends taking you on hunts.

Yay! New stuff! I'm thinking I'll head over there! That trap looks intriguing! Does anyone know how hard it is to build?

It is NEVER too soon to start farming for the upper tiers, Gymmie.

Any suggestions on how I can continue doing that? So far I'm doing all that I know to do, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't anything I was missing. I collect charms every time posts pop up, and I've also been collecting Orbs; but that is fairly random since I can't really control too much which mice I get. I've also been collecting all the Free Gifts that everyone has sent me, which is awesome; I know those will come in handy. :) I suppose I can stock up on Curds and Whey and Salt but that's easy to get.

Anything else I should be collecting?

ETA: oh, and I'm also collecting SB+ and such but that's a given. I've taken y'alls advice and I've decided to hang on to my SB+ and not bother with the rare mice until I have much better traps. It bugs me a bit because I'm very orderly and I like to complete a task before I begin a new one, but I also hate wasting time and effort when a little patience can make the way much better. ;))

I think he means the Tiers of the Gauntlet. ;)

The King's Gauntlet is divided into tiers, and you won't be able to get to the upper ones till later. But they use special cheeses that you get from the lower tiers. Which is why it's good to go there as soon as possible. :)

Oh, I gotcha! ;)) Well, I can't get into the Gauntlet until I catch my Master Burglar or shell out the coin for the Crown Jewel. Don't really want to spend the gold because I am saving up for my VMT (I guess that is my next logical purchase, according to everyone).

Have you gone hunting in the Calm Clearing yet? I heard you got the map piece. There isn't too much to do there, but it is at least a change of mice from the regular Indigenous ones.

I can't; not till I get to the next level. Guess it was kind of pointless to get the map piece so early but at least I don't have to worry about it. ;)

Okay.

One thing I would work on then, before you move on to the Mountain or beyond, is stocking up on multiple kinds of cheese. If you want, even the ones you won't use until later. Mostly because they're sold in the Town of Gnawnia or only the Harbour (if it's Gouda), and if you run out, it takes a lot of gold to travel back to that place to get some more.

Huh. I went to the Cheese Shoppe to see if I could get Gouda and it said it's sold in the Slushy Shoreline. Which I obviously can't access. How *does* one get Gouda, then? Is it a loot drop, then? MHWiki says you get it here: Cape Clawed
Fiery Warpath
Loyalty Chest
Muridae Market
Seasonal Garden

Nothing about the Harbor, but it also says that it arrives in crates that float into the Harbor. ;)) Eh, color me confused, but anyway!

The crate thing is, I believe, only a fun thing about it as part of the description.

And no, at this point, I don't believe you can get it. The first place you can get it is in Cape Clawed which won't be until you reach Legendary and craft the Ocean Navigation Kit.

And you really don't need Gouda until you can access those areas. Brie works just fine in the areas you can access now.

I got

Spoiler
my first trap purchasing piece: a Frosty Metal dropped by a Yeti mouse.

Don't bother buying it. You have plenty of time. I still haven't worked my way through the Gauntlet and I didn't get my Crown Jewel until I'd been playing for at least six or seven months.

Okay, that's... really weird. I totally remember buying Gouda at the Harbour. I know I have... Maybe they changed it recently? :-

I don't think so. . . I never remember having access to it until I got to the tribal isles.

Hmm. Anyway, no big deal. It wouldn't be useful to me right now anyway. ;))

Right now I'm using my Swiss Army trap with my WBwT since the attraction is better. The tradeoff for power hasn't seemed to be too bad; I think I've only failed to catch one or two mice so far. And I was having decent luck with White Cheddar too; don't know why you hate it so much, FK. ;) But anyway, I'm running through my Mozzarella right now and then I'll go back to Marble...I'll need to stock up on cheese soon. I should be leveled to Journeyman in a few days, and then I'm off to explore the wonders of the Mountain and hopefully get the Splintered Wood I need to finish my Dehydration base. :D

I am lucky... I nearly traveled to the tower without noticing the new newspost... I was 1,000 g short... but I'd rather be working towards

Spoiler
the new area
anyways.

Edit:

And talk about challenges! Good grief, that thing is a headache!

Talk about awesome! I love the Guantlet :D But you all know that :P
