I switched to SB+ and just caught one incompetent climber and 1 wolfskie in a row!... and the latter dropped 1 War Scrap.

Stwin: It takes an average of around 3 months to lv to next rank at least I think its around that much, but of course, if you run FW all day, it'll take around 7 runs? 6 runs? something like that, but no one can run FW all day, it's simply impossibly boring, well I guess you could, but I'd find it overly boring

I guess it all depends on where you are, I'm still getting owned in FW, almost done with wave 3 though should finish this run by the end of this week, maybe beginning of next week :0

I nabbed a Polar Bear Mouse this morning, and I agree with FK. . . he's my fave of the four. Now I just need an Incompetent Ice Climber in order to complete the set.

In addition to that, my Polar Bear dropped a war scraps, so I'm happy about that too!

Imagine my surprise this morning when I discovered that I had caught two Balack mice while I was sleeping. Finally! I'll read up on the next location, which I believe is the Seasonal Garden, after class. Oh, and catch the new mice.

And n_a_h, congrats on sticking it out and getting that elusive Tome Sprite. If you ever need SB for something, just say so on here and I'll send you some, and if for some reason I can't, I'm sure someone else will be more than happy to help you out.

My team got a top 25% in the Cats tournament last night (yay!) and then for some reason after that I traveled to Muridae Market instead of the Crystal Library. I figured I'd save my gold and just stay there so I hunted some more of the new mice overnight. I actually caught three of them but no War Scraps dropped which is what I wanted.
Back in the Warpath this morning doing horribly. I've had one streak of two so far..... Blegh. So I'm hoping maybe if I complain about it on here it will get better.

Over on the forums trying to get some clues about what's going on with the new event/area. Here are some speculations and observations:

- Whatever they meant by their "Explore Sandtail for Clues" is still unclear. It is clear, however, that none of the warpath traps are currently smashable, and none of the mice are currently dropping new loot. Many therefore interpret that clue to mean that if you don't have the OWN. . . you'll want to have it.

- Some people think that the War Scraps may be integral to building the map piece, but there is nothing new at any of the cartographers.

- War Scraps are not smashable and they appear under the "Special" section. This seems to indicate that they will not be involved in crafting. BUT, some people think that they will be used as a sort of currency in the new area, because other MH currencies appear in the Special section (Tournament Tokens, King's Credits, etc...)

- Some people seem to think that the new area will release once a particular amount of war scraps have been gathered.

Lots of good and interesting theories. Mine are different from a lot of the ones above, but it's cool to see other people's ideas. The only one I really don't agree with is the last one. That would imply that everything is programmed and the art is finished and it's ready to go, but I don't think that's the case as of yet.
I really think this little sneaky mini-update is to throw us a bone so we have something to do while they finish the new area up.

I'm hoping that I'll be able to watch FBF tomorrow cause I suspect much will be revealed (not spoilers per se, but answers to speculation questions like the ones above) but I don't know if I'll be around for it or not. I have a lot going on tomorrow. If nothing else someone will post a review on the MH forums.

Yeah.... I haven't missed a mouse since I posted. Now that I've said that, I'll probably go back to missing mice like crazy again. About to clear the scouts from wave 2 and then onto the archers.

I caught the last of the new mice! YAY! Got one War Scraps out of it, so I'm pretty pleased. I've returned to the warpath. Hopefully I can finish Wave 2 sometime this weekend.

DiGs, would the sweet spot be when the Scouts, Archers and Warriors are cleared? Because if so, I will aim for that and wait for tourneys as well.

Edit to update my counts: 0-0-0-37-17 (I missed a Caravan Guard and that's why the increase in Mages. I have four cavalry charms crafted, but I don't want to use them yet. I'd rather wait until I have a good stockpile of them. )

You guessed it. The Sweetest Spot is 0-0-0-50-30-20. . . but that'd be pretty rare, because those guys are always interrupting streaks .

Cavalry Mice are worth 2 points, Mages are worth 3, and Artillery mice are worth 4. Then you get into Wave 4, where all the mice are worth 5 points.

Overnight and with a little hunting this morning, my first Wave 2 stands: 0-0-0-27-15. I think I can clear Wave 2 sometime tonight or tomorrow morning, depending on my streaks.

We'll be doing an Indigenous Tourney today, so that will delay me a bit, but it will be nice to have a break from the Warpath before it gets too tedious.

Edit: Wave 2 now at 0-0-0-20-10. Our Indig. tourney starts in a few minutes. It's going to last most of the day, so I definitely won't be clearing the Wave today, but I may be able to catch a few of the new mice during the tourney. (I hope they come on trap checks).
