Finished the Tower run. 23% Amplifier when I caught the King. I hadn't thought about my Valentine's charms. I used those last time I was in the Tower because I ran out of Attraction charms. Anyway, I didn't get a page drop from the King. Instead I received the Jet Pack (as I predicted), so I still need another 5 Tower runs at least before I can craft the Spellbook Base. I'm going to stick to the Garden for a bit to build my Amplifier and then get another assignment. I might do a Dojo one so I can farm gold off Mojos and (maybe) Sojos.

Eli, have you failed a tower run yet? I think I had a success rate of 50% with those things. . . but I can't remember you having to drop out once. Congratulations on your successful run. I'm sorry that you didn't get a page drop, but at least you're doing well!

Yeah, I've done pretty well overall, despite the difficulties of this last run. I'm hoping my Tower luck holds in the future.
Setting up in Furoma for another assignment. This one will take a while. The lower level tasks are a bit more specific than I've had before.

Our team is doing another catacombs tournie this evening. It starts at 7PM EDT, and goes until 3AM. We've got all four people on-board, but I will probably bail around midnight (but I'll be online/active until 1AM). Last night we came in 10th place (out of 42 teams), so I was pretty thrilled with that! Here's hoping we can do it again!

I'll also probably be on until midnight...
Here's hoping we do well again

We're currently sitting in 21st place, which places us comfortably in the top fifty, but 18th is the cut-off for top 25%, so I'm hoping that we can achieve that!

So, I requested a map be made from the Cartographer. It'll take a day, it says.
I was wondering, can I hunt in other areas while I wait, and come back when it's done? Or do I have to stay at the Bazaar?

You should be able to hunt in other area's Ithy, but you'll have to return to the bazaar to get it.

I am signing off for the night fellow teammates. There are less than three hours remaining in the tournament, and we are comfortably in the top 50%. I'm not ruling out top 25% at this point, but it'll be down to people living further west than those of us who are very sleepy .
Good night, and good luck

Ditto Digs... I'm getting off in a few minutes myself. Especially since I have an 8 AM class tomorrow

Stwin, I honestly don't think crafting the SBB is that great of the idea, firstly, I think MSB works just fine(I personally regret spending the 1.2mil, but hey, I can be wrong) and you'll need the money in the future, for the Baron ubertraps, The SBB only gives you some more power and same attraction rate as MSB well having one less luck, I think the luck is more important but that's just personal preference, I only use it against like, nobody, cause I use DJB against wardens so yeah
my Mojo catch rate is 148:200, not that bad I suppose, this run caught 34 Mojo's
I'm actually going to agree with wil here, Stwin. I crafted the Spellbook Base thinking that it would really help me (the fact that it's the strongest base in the game also influenced me), but the Baron Traps are insanely expensive to craft (particularly if you have to buy the loot drops off of the marketplace). The Molten Shrapnel Base and the Dragon Jade Base will work just fine in the Fiery Warpath. You'll want to craft the Spellbook base eventually, but with new content coming within the next month or two, I'd hold off on crafting it for now.
Our team finished in 30th place, which put us in the top 50%. That's not bad seeing as Wolf and I dropped out with three hours left in the tournie. *places two more tournament tokens in his satchel.* Just two more and I'll be able to buy the bronze base.
So I'm back to farming gold. Wolf, if there's another catacombs tournament today, I'm up for it
EDIT: There's another 5 person catacombs tournie that runs from 4PM-10PM. I've already signed up for it, I hope that y'all can join in, because it's a great way to farm gold while getting tokens at the same time (and if we place, I'll be able to buy my Bronze base!!!!!!!!)

I was going to disagree with wil and DiGs on the Spellbook Base (but for a very different reason) because I was going to say that you don't have anything better to do so you may as well get it. But then I noticed that you're a lot farther into Lord than I realized, and they're right, the SBB is only marginally better than the MSB. (As in like, .17% increased catch rate... approximately.) So instead, I'm going to third their advice and say save your gold for the traps you'll want to buy in the Fiery Warpath. But keep doing those Tower runs for Library assignments, points, and big increase in rank.
Well this weekend was a very interesting and busy weekend (which you can read about in the Gardening thread if you're so inclined). I was pretty much gone from the computer the whole time, as were my teammates, so we were unable to pull of the top 50% of the Warpath tournament. Too bad cause it was worth a lot of tokens, but we went in knowing we were all going to be really busy.
This morning we're signed up for the Forbidden Mice tournament, and Kat, Ara, and myself are holding off arming our cheese cause we're in the FG while it's closed, and as soon as the tourny starts in 25 min we're going to arm it and snag Realm Rippers right off the bat. It's brilliant! (Thanks Kat for the suggestion hehehe.) What I'm trying to decide right now though is whether to hunt with the ACRONYM or ABT for the tournament cause the ABT just has a lower catch rate overall, but it can snag the Acolyte with the most points. OR go with the ACRONYM trap and rake in points but forgo the Acolyte. Decisions, decisions....
Congrats to all of you who are doing well in your various tournaments!!
I have runic, so I intend on starting with the ABT. I may swap out to the Acronym later in the tourney. Glad the suggestion worked. Hopefully we'll catch them all quickly.
Oh yeah, I'm definitely using Runic, Ancient doesn't work very well in the AR. I'm just gambling on which trap will get the team more points. I'm leaning towards the ACRONYM myself, but I'm not set on that.
