Do you need to build two cakes in order to get a second Cake Polaroid?
Yes, but the Cake Polaroids are only used to buy the traps and bases at the shop. The slice of cake to make a base is for the Carrot Birthday Cake base and you get that automatically after building your first cake.
Is the Second Confetti you mention actually called "Second Confetti"? And can you get it already?
If you go to your profile page (by clicking on the MH shield) -> Items -> Collectibles -> Uncollected, you will see Fancy Confetti with an LE. That's the one I'm referring to. And apparently some people have gotten it? But that may be a bug because I don't think they should have yet.
Do you need to build two cakes in order to get a second Cake Polaroid?
Yes. You get the Carrot Cake Base upon completing your first cake. Then you arm said base and catch the Dinosuit Mouse and get a Polaroid. After that everything resets and you have to build a second cake again before you can attract a second Dinosuit Mouse and get a second polaroid. (But you keep your base )
I just caught my second Dinosuit mouse a little bit ago so I decided since I wasn't getting much SB+ to head back to the Warpath. I've been working pretty hard on getting more trap pieces for my friends, especially with tournaments and this new area that's coming, so that's my main priority at the moment. I'm sure I'll be back in the Birthday area several more times for tournaments though.
Thanks for the explanation. I just got my last Candle Spark and the Carrot Cake base! I was confusing the Carrot Cake Base with the Birthday Bake Base that's in the GS. I really want to buy everything just 'cause so I'm going to rebuild the cake again.
According to my calculations* , I only need 480k gold to buy everything from this event! I already have 415k so getting 480k buy the end of the event shouldn't be a problem. I'm actually building up gold at a fairly decent speed here. I may even have that much by the time I finish the cake again. If not, to the Catacombs I go.
*I love saying that and using that smiley.
I don't know what everybody's talking about. . . I caught my dinosaur using my cheesecake base. Perhaps it's because it is also a birthday base?

I caught my Dinosuit Mouse with my ... MSB armed, I think.
Anyway, I'm trying to farm enough gold to buy the Mystic Pawn Pincher before Summer begins so that I can head back to the SG and (I hope) finish out gathering the shards of the ZT Key. Then I'll try to get in a few Tower runs before the Easter event if all goes well.
My calculations run that I'll need at least 50 Gouda and Attraction charms (allowing for at least one miss for every catch) per run. Should I aim higher than that as far as supplies go?

HEAVENS TO BETSY YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It usually takes 15 pieces to weed out the pawns by themselves. I would never go into a tower run without 150 pieces of gouda. You're probably good with 75 attraction charms.
The queen and rooks are very strong mice, and will rob you several times before you catch them.

I must have misunderstood that the Carrot Cake Base was required to catch the Dinosuit Mouse, so apologies for the misinformation.

There is nothing more frustrating than almost finishing a Tower run and running out of supplies. So I'm gonna echo DiGs. Take in more than enough cheese and charms. I actually go in with minimum 200 each so there's no way I'm gonna run out.
Probably those stupid scoreboards.... they lie! Miserably!
In case you haven't noticed what I'm talking about the icons for who's in the top 25/50 on the full tourney scoreboards are glitched, you're teams will change to whatever page you're looking at... and I'm pretty sure they're wrong too...
Ok, I've read your post about three times now and I'm still not sure what you're talking about. There are several glitchy things in the game, but the tournament scoreboards are not one that I've ever noticed.
Icons... do you mean the Trophys and Badges?

I think I got mine with the Wooden Base w/ Target, but I'm not positive
Icons... do you mean the Trophys and Badges?
Yep. Next time you're in a tourney click on that tournament then click on full scoreboard... Keep track of the trophies/badges (specifically yours) asa you flip through... you may notice that for example page 1 it says you're in the top 25%, page 3 you're in the top 50% and page 7 you're not ranked at all... when you're in the same place... also the icons extend to the bottom of the page rather than to the actual cut off mark. I've had this glitch for at least 2 weeks... the only reason I didn't mention it earlier was cuz I've really been to busy to make many lengthy posts and as I said I think it's more of a minor annoyance since you can still use the rule page to gauge you're team's progress.
I'm wondering though if it's one of those glitches that just affects a few people or if more have it and haven't noticed it.

I finished my cake and got my Carrot Cake base, which I'm using now. Do we get any other bases for free, or do we have to buy them?
Has anyone else noticed their cheese going missing while at the Birthday event, and nothing accounting for it? Because mine is disappearing at an alarming rate. When I went to bed, I had about 75 pieces of cheese. When I got up, there was only 5 pieces. And I've lost 11 pieces of cheese within the last hour. And nothing is saying that it was stolen or anything. It just suddenly shows me as having less.
Also, it keeps going on hunts automatically every 15 minutes, whether I blow the horn or not. That's never happened to me before. Is it supposed to do that at the birthday event?

I believe you have to buy them... though I did get the Chocolate Birthday Cake Base last year through a drop I think... Honestly I'm not sure how that ended up in my inventory, but I'm not complaining

You have to buy them. And all of them require two Cake Polaroids so you'll have to build another cake before you can buy them.

When you are in the same location as a friend, every time they blow their horn, they take you along on that hunt unless you have a King's Reward you need to claim. That would probably explain most of that. When a friend takes you along, your journal entry will say "I went on a hunt with (insert name) where I was successfull .....". Has that happened?
Still, seventy pieces of cheese overnight seems like a lot as does 11 in one hour. It could be a glitch but I don't know.
EDIT: The other explanation is mice stealing cheese. However, so far in the event, I have not had a mice steal cheese. I'm not sure they can during this event in this location. Since you're newer to the game than me, you aren't using as high of a powered trap as I am (I'm using the Chrome Rhinobot which, combined with my base, equals over 7,000 power - way overpowered for this event) so you might have stolen cheese with a weaker trap. Does anyone else know if mice can steal cheese?
EDIT again: According the wiki, mice could steal cheese but not gold or points during the 2011 Birthday Event. I'm guessing that's probably still applicable this year but I don't know for sure.
I'm up to five Dollops of Icing on my second cake. I only need 35k more gold to buy all the birthday bases! Also, I bought the Pinata trap. It's so silly.

It has once in awhile. But I think there's a definite glitch in the game as well. It's been acting odd in other areas too.
I'm trying to figure out if any of these weapons or bases are worth my money, or if I should save it. If I have enough money to buy one or the other (but not both), should I buy the Birthday Party Piñata Bonanza or should I use the money to get my NVMRC?

I will try to pay attention on my next tournament. I haven't noticed it yet, but it doesn't mean it's not there.

That's.... really odd. If I may suggest, try taking a couple screenshots to see if you can account for your missing cheese and continual hunts, and if you can prove there's a bug, the developers are really good about helping you out and returning your cheese and such.

Any time you see a trap that has an LE shield on it, that means Limited Edition and it will never return again. The NVMRC is a better trap, but you will always be able to buy it. The Pinata trap will only be available through March 9th so if you want it for sentimental reasons, get it now.

Where does it say LE on it? I don't see it. But then, the shield is a bit hard to see for me right now, because I don't have the money for it yet and so its profile is misted out.
How does one know if one trap is better than the other? The Pinata trap is higher than the NVMRC in both physical power and power bonus. The Luck level is almost the same. But the NVMRC has a higher attraction bonus, and the Pinata trap has a stale cheese effect.

And then you have people like me who never bought the NVMRC. I don't even know why I didn't. That's one of those traps that I think everyone buys and I never did. I think I just did decently well with the Swiss Army trap (I loved that thing!). I think I used the Swiss Army trap a lot longer than most people did. Looking at my traps, I don't believe I ever bought a Physical trap in between the Swiss Army and the Digby Drillbot! (The Physical traps I have are the Spiked Crusher, Trebuchet, Swiss Army, Rhinobot, Chrome Rhinobot, and now, the Pinata) I honestly don't know how I did that. And I just bought the Digby Drillbot maybe a month or two ago and immediately upgraded it to the Rhinobot.
fk, why do you think the NVMRC is a better trap then the Pinata? The Pinata has 150 more power and it has that insane 35% Power Bonus. It has 10 luck (just two less than the NVMRC) as well and a Stale cheese effect while the NVMRC has no effect. It doesn't have Attraction but that's the only thing that makes it worse. For me, power is the most important thing 98% of the time. If you have enough power, who cares about the Stale effect. Yea, no attraction, but that's usually not a big deal for me. Attraction doesn't seem to make that much of a difference that I've seen.
