Oh I understand that. That being said, the Halloween event didn't have a new fancy trap that appealed to me, but I found the structure of the event, and the way that the devs hype it up to make it very fun.

I'm curious, what were you expecting?

I was expecting the base to be a good deal better. I mean come on, the dehydration base is MILES ahead of that thing. . . I can't see it being useful (or even worthwhile) to anybody higher than a journeyman .

I agree that the trap is great for lower level players (probably only one notch down from the Digby Drillbot), and that it is hilarious. . . but it's awfully pricey for lower level players. My mom (who started out last month) will get a lot of use out this trap, but 300K is next to impossible for her without some help from me.

I can't help but notice that tournaments suspiciously cut off tomorrow. I think there may be something else coming. Perhaps the introduction of boost tournaments and reintroduction of endurance tournaments? Either way, I think after the current tournament I'm in is over, I may hold off on signing up for any more in case something is up.

I don't think I've gotten any Nanny Charms yet...

Yea, I was in class from shortly after it started until just a few minutes ago so I couldn't do any horns.

As for Saturday ..... eh. I won't be able to do much. I know I'll be gone for at least four hours in the morning on Saturday and then will probably be doing stuff in the afternoon. Saturdays aren't super great for me because I'm usually out and about and not checking in super often during the day.

Ara, my husband, and I just came in 8th place out of 484 teams. That would be my team's new best in recent tournament history. That being said, our final score was 800 points and first place got 1,100 points. Not quite sure how they did that. One of these days we'll get a top 3 place!!!

I finished the event last night. Now I'm just farming gold in the catacombs, because I know my mom's going to need help buying that trap, and I really want to be in a good position to help her out

(I really don't care whether I get the trap or not. . . but it will really help her out)

I'm on 14/15 icing so far. I'm hoping to get all the icing before calling it a night.

Probably those stupid scoreboards.... they lie! Miserably!

In case you haven't noticed what I'm talking about the icons for who's in the top 25/50 on the full tourney scoreboards are glitched, you're teams will change to whatever page you're looking at... and I'm pretty sure they're wrong too...

The rewards I believe are still distributed properly and you can still tell where the top 50% and top 25% end based on the rules tab... so it's more of an annoyance than a major problem.

You don't necessarily need Party Charms to get the cake ingredients. You will have higher drop rates with them but they're not essential. I got at least 1/3 of my icing without having Party Charms armed.

I'm debating doing that as well. I'm a bit of a trap and base collector so I'd like to buy the trap and as many bases as possible. I'm up to 412k gold right now.

I have a question, Do you need to build two cakes in order to get a second Cake Polaroid? That's what it seems like from the entry on the wiki about it. However, that doesn't make sense according to the news post. It says

Build the MouseHunt Birthday Cake and you'll be able to sneak a small slice to use as a new celebratory base for your trap

which makes it sound like you should be able to get that base on your first cake build.
