Hello DancingPrincesses!

249. breakfast, lunch, or dinner? Dinner
250. fast food, or dine in? Dine in. Fast food is [-(
251. Buzz Lightyear or Woody? Woody! Who can’t love that little cowboy?
252. Pooh bear or Piglet? Pooh (but Tigger is the best of all).
253. Toy Story or Winnie the Pooh? Winnie the Pooh.

Hello Miss Sweeet! Lovely to see you.

254. Was the Spare Oom your ideal section to mod in? Yes. :) It’s really the only section I ever go in regularly, so I would have felt out of place in any other probably.
255. Does it bother you that you haven't got a million questions from us? Hardly. It’s a relief. I’m barely keeping up as it is. I don’t know a lot of the newer people on this forum, I’m discovering, so maybe I’ll make more of an effort to try.
256. Do you think the forum people are burned out after asking 3500 questions in two weeks? Perhaps, but mostly I think it’s just me. ;)
257. What's your favorite smiley? ;)) I use it all the time. I just discovered this one :p the other day though.
258. Do you miss using the YM smileys in chat? I very rarely go into the chatroom, so not really.
259. Modchat or normal chat? Modchat is so convenient.
260. BBC Merlin or BBC Robin Hood? Hmmmm, Merlin.
261. Will Scarlett or Robin Hood? Will Scarlett is technically my favorite character on the show, but the truth is, he’s sort of stoic and boring, so I’d probably go with Rob.
262. Arthur or Merlin? Merlin, but he wouldn’t be half as awesome without Arthur.
263. Pixar or Disney Princesses? Princesses. (Or more accurately Beauty and the Beast
264. What's your ideal choice for Best Picture at the Academy Awards? The only ones I actually saw were Toy Story 3 and The Social Network, so TSN.
265. What's your ideal choice for Best Actor in a leading role? I really want to see The King’s Speech, so I guess Colin Firth, but again, the only nominee I actually saw was Jesse Eisenberg.
266. Best Actress? I didn’t see a single one of their films.
267. Best Score? I guess Inception. My friends and I have a recurring joke about the very loud booms in that soundtrack.
268. Best supporting actress? Didn’t see any of them.
269. Best supporting actor? Well, I’d say Andrew Garfield, but he didn’t even get nominated.
270. Which of the Narnia movies is your favorite? Definitely LWW.

Hello frequent questioner! We should have a little chat about soccer someday. ;))

271. play soccer or watch soccer? Play!
272. if watch- who's your favorite team? Spain for international play and Liverpool FC for league play.
273. favorite player? Fernando Torres.
274. if play- what position do you play? Stopper (sort of like a front middle defense/center mid) and Goalie.
275. is that position your favorite? I like center midfielder the best.
276. have you ever had to play goalie? Yes. I am a goalie. ;)) I have sweet padded pants to prove it and everything. :p
277. have you ever reffered a game? I sideline reffed for a team of 8 year olds I was coaching.
278. have you ever gotten a yellow card? Not that I can remember.
279. have you ever gotten a red card? No.
280. do you watch the world cup? YES!!!!
281. do you watch college soccer? No.
282. are you an aggressive soccer player(like not afraid to push people?) I’m not afraid to push people, but I would not consider myself very “aggressive.” I prefer to play clean and usually only use the legal “shoulder lean.”
283. do you have nice foot work? I’m actually pretty clumsy. ;))

Hello Kate! Sorry I haven't posted earlier. Your little graphics door prize sounds great, though!

As someone who just read The Tempest:
What is your favorite thing about it?
Who is your favorite character?
Favorite scene?
Least favorite character?
What is your opinion about Prospero?
Have you ever seen it performed?
What do you think of the recent Tempest movie?
Do you have an opinion on the costumes in it? (if so, what is it?)
Is Tempest your favorite of Shakespeare's plays, then?
What is your second favorite?

More questions later, I hope!

310. Do you like fried chicken? Yeah, but I rarely eat it. It’s not very good for you.
311. If you had a choice to wear a black coat that had one button missing, or a pink coat that had all the buttons, wich would you wear? Oh defs the pink. Well, I suppose it depends on where I was going to wear it.

327. Doing or watching? Doing.
328. Glue or tape? Tape. Less messy.
329. Snow or rain? Rain.
330. Email or snail mail? Well, I love getting and sending letters, but email is great when you live away from home and need to communicate with family.
331. Painting or drawing? Painting. You can be untalented and still make it look cool.

332. Do you prefer 2D or 3D movies? 2D. 3D makes me sick. :(
333. Do you wear glasses? Nope. 20/20 vision!
334. Do you sleep with 1 pillow or 2 (or more?) My family jokes that I practically sleep sitting up I have so many pillows. ;))
335. Do you like planting flowers? Yeah, but then they die. :(
336. Do you like carpet or hardwood floors? Carpet in the bedroom, wood in the kitchen.
337. Do you have a pool in your backyard? If not, then do you want a pool in your backyard? I do at home.
338. Do you sing in the shower? If yes, then have you ever been overheard by someone else? I used to. :( Then I moved into the dorms and I was too shy. Now it’s kind of a habit not to, but my roommates don’t judge. I do some.
339. How much sugar do you put in your tea? None.
340. How many cups of tea do you normally have everyday? At least 2.
341. What do you prefer: Sunrises or Sunsets? Sunsets. I’m a West Coast girl and I live by the ocean. Sunsets over the ocean are the best.

As someone who just read The Tempest:
342. What is your favorite thing about it? The pure fantasy of the setting, story, and plot. It has such a different feeling from Shakespeare’s other works. Midsummer’s is the only thing even remotely similar.
343. Who is your favorite character? Caliban.
344. Favorite scene? Probably the introduction of Caliban.
345. Least favorite character? Ferdinand. He’s paper thin.
346. What is your opinion about Prospero? Oh he’s so complex! In some ways he’s the victim, in some ways he’s the oppressor, and you dislike him for the way he treats Caliban, you understand his enslavement of Ariel. He’s also so powerful and interesting. He’s kind of a weird father though…
347. Have you ever seen it performed? No. :(
348. What do you think of the recent Tempest movie? I want to see it! I love the cast though. Ben Whishaw is awesome, but Ariel looks weird.
349. Do you have an opinion on the costumes in it? (if so, what is it?) It looks pretty cool, particularly Caliban.
350. Is Tempest your favorite of Shakespeare's plays, then? YES.
351. What is your second favorite? Macbeth

352. You mentioned the 2008 NaNo. Have you participated in NaNo in other years? Nope, that was the only year. I haven’t had time since then.
353. What genre is your favorite in which to write? Light fantasy. Like a mix of the real world with an element of fantasy.
354. Do you prefer writing in first or third person? It really depends. If I get a strong voice in my head, definitely 1st person.
355. Have you participated in Script Frenzy? No.

356. What fictional character reminds you most of yourself? I’ve never read a book and thought, “This is me!” But I resonate with Cassandra Mortmain. But I’m not as cool as she is.
To go along with gazer's question above...
357. do you prefer reading in the first or third person? Same as writing. If it’s a strong 1st person, then 1st person.
358. The first book you read yourself was...? I have absolutely no idea.
359. I give you a present. Is it in a big box or small box? It comes in a book sized box. :p
360. Best gift you've ever received? My laptop.
361. How long have you had your current avvy, and what was your first avvy? (I seem to recall it was of the LWW bomb shelter scene. Am I right? XD) Oh, you’re cute! You might be right! But I think it was a picture of Edmund and Lucy hugging. But I’m not sure. I switch avatars pretty often. I’ve had this one maybe 2 weeks.
362. Favorite decade? (in particular, favorite style from a decade past? ) 1940s
363. Favorite historical period? Well, I like reading best about turn of the century.
364. Gulity pleasure movie/TV show? Glee.
365. Worst movie you've EVER seen? Not sure… Wedding Crashers maybe.
366. Do you tend to cry or laugh during sad/crying scenes in movies? I well up, but I don’t usually cry outright.
367. Do you talk during films or mind people who do? YES. I’m such a movie talker. I only recently realized that not everyone likes that. I usually have to pick who I sit next to in a movie based on whether they’ll think I’m obnoxious or not.
368. Did you ever think or hope to become a moderator? Yes. I’m not sure why, but I thought it seemed glamorous. It seemed like something to aim for. (also, power, my precious!)
And now...the very crucial question...
369. Do you wear socks to bed???? *dun dun dun* No. I live in California. It’s warm. :)

370. Hardovers or paperbacks? Paperbacks. I’m always afraid I’m going to break a hardcover.
371. Flashing red lights or flashing blue lights? Blue.
372. ;;) or B-) ? B-)
373. Do you you like carrots cooked or raw? Raw. Cooked is bleck!
374. What is your favorite type of tree? Japanese maple. But I also love the sugar pine and I love the flavor Eucalyptus gives California (even though they’re not a native species).
375. Do you have a collection of anything? Books. :) And music.
376. Do you take hot baths even when its hot outside? I don’t really take baths, but I take hot showers even when it’s hot.
377. Frogs or toads? Frogs.
378. Tigers or lion? Tigers.
379. Do you own a watch? No.

380. Why do you like Caliban best? He’s so complex and very different from just about any other Shakespearian character. He’s almost a Gollum predecessor.
-- Macbeth, mm? I'm reading it now! I'll ask questions once I finish it. Enjoy!
381. What's the saddest book you actually like? Probably The Crucible, though I’ve been reading a lot of melancholy books lately.
382. Do you think sad endings are usually unnecessary (except for true stories)? No. If sadness did not exist in literature, literature would be a lie. I’m not a realist by any means, but the true elements of humanity and the human experience belong in literature.
383. What is your opinion of sad endings? If an author is just trying to be depressing, I call foul. If an author is trying to bring attention to true sadness and the way people deal with it, I can go for it.
384. Do you like Italian food? Yes! Mmmm, white, refined carbs. ;)
385. Have you tried Irish food? Well, I’ve tried American Irish food. Every year for St. Patrick’s day (which is apparently a pretty American construct, at least the way we celebrate), my family has corned beef, cabbage, and irish soda bread. (And green milk!)
386. What's your favorite fairy tale? I’m not really an expert on fairy tales, but probably The Little Mermaid (NOT Disney).
387. What movie are you most looking forward to this year? Probably Jane Eyre or any of the new superhero movies. Oh! And Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Pt. 2.
388. Are you going to see the Jane Eyre movie? YES!
389. One space between sentences or two? two. ;)) Good question.
390. Reepicheep or Jewel? (heh - inspired by ^ Valiant's sig!) Reepicheep.
391. Jewel or Fledge? Jewel.
392. Hwin or Bree? Bree.
393. Rabadash or Uncle Andrew? Rabadash. Uncle Andrew never got caught on a hook half way.
394. What is your favorite cryptid? Well, the Loch Ness monster is pretty famous, but the Bobo is pretty near where I live, which is cool.
395. Do you believe Nessie exists? (or did within the last 200 years?) I really couldn’t say.
396. If you could bring back one extinct species, which would you choose? A Caspian Tiger. ;)
397. Favorite mythical creature? Griffin
398. How do you feel about the number 13? Funny you should ask. I have very rudimentary synesthesia and for me numbers have corresponding colors. The number one is a red number and 3 is a green one. 13 is Christmas colors, which I think look ugly and tacky together at any time of the year but Christmas. So I’m not that big of a fan.
399. What is your current favorite topic here in SpareOom? The Books thread! The books thread members are super smart, super cultured, have wild imaginations, and wonderful advice on books. Plus we make monster posts.

400. What is your absolute favorite quote? “And now I see two things very clearly, that I am a great sinner and Christ is a great savior.” From the movie Amazing Grace. I get chills and tear up every time I watch it.
401. What is the most daring thing you have done? Recently, it was to apply to become a DJ. A thing very unlike me.
402. What is the most ridiculous situation you've ever been in? Well, last night I went to a formal and it was themed “A Night at the movies” and so there was a mix of people dressed formally and those dressed like movie characters. My favorite part was dancing with a guy who had a ripped shirt and shoes, a make-up five o’clock shadow, and Wilson the volleyball (He was dressed like Tom Hanks from Castaway. I’ve never danced with a volleyball before. ;)) I don’t think that’s the most ridiculous, but it was pretty funny.
403. Do you have a favorite article of clothing? My rainbow (brand) flip flops
404. What is the background on your computer? This LOL.
405. Have you ever done a Sudoku puzzle? Yes. I only do them if I have nothing else to do. They’re pretty boring. I prefer crosswords.
405. What is your favorite punctuation mark? The period. ;)) Oh! Actually, the dash -- It’s like parenthesis for grown ups.
406. What is the scent of your shampoo? It’s pantene. :)
407. Would you adopt a wildebeest if it needed a home? No. Definitely not. My roommates would kick me out.
408. What is the furthest distance you have driven in a car? To Canada. But in the space of a few days.
409. What is your favorite aisle in the supermarket? The produce section.
410. How long does it take you to answer all these questions? Longer than you would think. It’s very helpful when people include the numbers.
