I just started wearing makeup, actually... Technically, I've been old enough for years, but have only recently been truly interested. Now I love how feminine it makes me feel!
With my Christmas money I bought a brush set that, even though I haven't played with it much, I just LOVE! It applies my powder foundation sooo smoothly I was oohing and ahhing as I stared at my face in the mirror. I'm so happy with it. *grins blissfully* Too bad Amazon doesn't have it anymore...

I think Shany sells other brush sets, though, Lady C. I have a variety of their brushes in my collection.

you can see my picture in eye and hair colour thread. I have blonde hair and blue eyes what colour eyeshadow should in wear?
Someone mentioned e.l.f makeup earlier? Well I got a brush from them for about a dollar and it broke after my first use. So I wouldn't recommend buying any of the brushes from them.
ILoveFauns, I read somewhere that pale blue, violet, rust, and neutral colors make blue eyes stand out. I would play around with different colors if I were you, just to experiment. That's what I did and found a look that looks great on me.

IloveFauns, I don't know too much about what colors go with which in terms of eye shadow, but I have bluish eyes and I found that light blue eye shadow looks really nice, as well as a silver-type color. So I'd have to echo what sillygoose said. Other than that, I've found that playing around with different colors really helps me find what works.

I don't wear any make-up, because I'm too lazy. I also never really understood the point of it.
But I'm not against people who wear it though, lots women look great with it!
And my hair, well it's a very short hair style, only about one inch long. I have it short because, you guessed it, I'm LAZY. All I do is mush some mousse into it and blow dry it for 10 seconds, so it's kind of an orderly mess . My sis and lots of people say I look good with short hair too, so that's another reason, plus it's so nice to not have it blow in my face on a windy day.
There were fun things about having long hair, but my hair is very thick so I always got a ton of snarls (ouch!).
I love short hair, but when I tried it I looked like Harry Potter
For blue eyes, I'd suggest blue (Although if not worn right this can look really 80's in a bad way), purple, reddish/chocolate shades of brown, light rose/cocoa types of color, and dark green. So basically, everything that any other eye color would wear.

I love really short hair, but I imagine if I tried it I'd probably look ridiculous
Val_Lu - I know, I've had short hair for what seems like ages! I think my hair's actually got calmer though, so I'm hoping it won't be such a bother this time around. Here's an ooold photo of what it looks like longer (I want to eventually grow it longer than that though ) -
I've got blue eyes and I use eyeshadows in the brown/beige range most of the time. I find it highlights the blue without looking too obvious (I prefer more neutral looking make up). I also use brown mascara for this reason
There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in.
Oh, cute, Shantih! Long hair really changes your face shape, I think, it's interesting.
Thought I would post about my nails I've decided to stop biting them after having fake nails for a couple of weeks and LOVING how they looked (but they were a huge pain to glue on).
And I thought I better give my nails a bit of a boost so I got some Sally Hansen "nail nutrition" stuff. The bottle says "Green tea and Oliver Growth", and I put it on every other day. I think it has really been making an actual difference! Not so much on making my nails longer, but simply healthier. My nails were really brittle and ickyish from so much biting and such. But after putting this stuff on them, they actually look quite smooth and normal! So hopefully I can keep up the not biting until they grow long enough to put polish on

Yay for pretty nails! Sadly, my nails (and my hands, for that matter) have gone to the dogs ever since I started working at my job. Retail is HORRIBLE on your hands, I'm telling you. You get scratched, bruised, cut by paper, plastic AND cardboard (OWW) and your nails just rip off. At least mine do. I have to keep them short, otherwise one wrong move and I'll end up bending a nail back, which hurts like the dickens.
So, I've pretty much given up on having nice nails while I work at this job. It's just not worth it for me. I have to get my nail polish fix by painting my toes, lol. Luckily my toes don't get so banged up and they look quite nice once I get them all pretty!
You shouldn't use fake nails a lot because they're really bad for your real nails. My aunt works at a nail salon and one time I wanted to try out fake nails so I asked her, but she told me that they're bad. So I've never tried them before. If I want to get my nails done, I usually wait until they're long, but they really bother me so that doesn't happen very often.

Ooh! I use that brand too! I love it my aunt bought me some for Christmas last year. She says that they don't have adds on TV and stuff like that so you pay for the product and not the name. That's why it's so cheep. Have you seen the 100 eyeshadow thingy. It's so cool! I don't have it but my aunt does. What did you get? I have the little kit with eyeshadow and lipstick and eyebrow stuff and blush and all that. Its small and it folds out so you have every thing in there.
I can't really remember what I got other than the 32 or so eyeshadow palette My cousin got the 100 eyeshadow palette though! It looks awesome. My cousin placed the order and just had it come in so she's going to bring it all over to give to me and we're going to experiment. That kit sounds so handy! It must be lovely to have everything together. I love how it's all so cheap! And relatively good quality!
And yeah, sillygoose, I got some ELF brushes with my order too, I'm not expecting them to be great exactly, but I read all the reviews and most everyone says they're... decentish (though some did say they broke easily). I just don't have money for the good brushes

So, I got a haircut! I announced a while ago I was planning on going short and it took me this long to do it. This is the picture I showed her and this is what I ended up with. They're not particularly similar, but I do like th new style. The lady cut really weird layers on one side, but oh well. I'm happy because with this cut, my poor bangs went from awkwardly grown out to part of the rest of my hair! Yay.
my mom has been having to tease my hair for the past two weekends for my school production of Hairspray! She watched youtube videos and has been doing all this stuff- like curling it first then hairspraying it then teasing it! Its absolutely crazy!!! It takes forever to get out when I take a shower too!
PS I am actually riting this post on my laptop while my mom is teasing my hair

YAY KATE CUT HER HAIR!!
OK, it looks really cute! I feel like it's pretty much impossible to get a haircut exactly like someone else's (I've tried ), so kudos to you for getting it pretty close to Faye Dunaway's. And ugh about the weird layers...what is it with hairdressers and weird layers?
