I think Ella is referring to the black circle around the eyes thing. :)

*edit* New question: what do you do about dark circles under your eyes?

All I wear is red lipstick and usually a smidge of mascara. Cat eye eyeliner if it's a special occasion.
I pincurl my hair every night as I really like vintage styles. Especially 40s-50s. It's about shoulder length right now, though I'm growing it out.

I've never curled my hair. I think it would come out well cause my hair is naturally wavy...curly on some days, but I haven't taken the time out to do it.

Of course Minotaur is welcome in here. In fact, his physical appearance and fashion choices are the boldest of us all. ;)

Elanor, I won't wear any other eyeliner than black. I'm not sure how good it looks on me cause no one has commented on it. I don't think I go overboard though.

I'm not trying to say that black eyeliner is bad - but a load of it, all around your eyes . . . I dislike it. I'm sorry if I sound condemning!

I am all in favor of males in here - why not? Surely they can talk about makeup too - give their opinions and etc.

Elanor, I agree. I've never really liked the smokey eye effect, unless it is VERY well done. In fact, I did a compare and contrast, with how a smokey eye, when done right for a certain skin color looks wrong on a different hue, but the pictures turned out too well. ;)) It actually looks decent in the pictures--but horrid in real life.

Lucy of Narnia, the best solution is to get enough sleep and drink a lot of water, and thus avoid the dark circles. If you have them, though, I would suggest starting your morning by wetting some Q-tips, and putting them in freezer, and, once they're frozen or really cold, gently rolling them on the troubled spot (this method also works for reducing puffy eyes). Then, put some foundation on under your eye. I've found powder works better than liquid, for this, because the liquid tends to blend more, and so you will have a more obvious shadow. Either way, though, I'd suggest not wearing dark eye shadow, as that will emphasize the circles.

Ella, I'm fine w/ them here. A bit surprised at first, but fine. ;)) I'm sure guys have some great input to offer! :)

Lady Arwen, thank you so much! I do drink a lot of water but surely not enough. And I do have the late-to-bed, late-to-rise thing so maybe that's part of it?

will try the q-tip thing, thanks! :) So will regular powder work just as well?

And I have noticed that when I use dark eye shadow it seems to bring them out, like 'look at the dark eyes and dark circles'! ;))

Ok, so I have a question that's probably going to sound really stupid. I keep noticing that when y'all are talking about eyebrows you keep mentioning having them "threaded". What does that mean? It's not absolutely urgent, or anything, I'm just curious.

Well, Rose-Tree-Dryad pushed me into posting this here. I think she likes the hair style?

One thing I hafta note, even though he doesn't have any makeup on, he still looks dashing.

I did not push him into posting that picture. He did it to torment me. :P

So this post isn't a total waste, I hardly ever wear makeup because I'm pretty hopeless at it and find it a bother anyway. ;)) I like to look as natural as possible, and haven't quite figured out how to achieve that with my cosmetics yet, so usually I don't wear anything at all. If anybody has any tips on how to apply makeup so it doesn't look like makeup, or good products for achieving a natural look, I'm all ears. :)
