I used to wear nail polish alot. I don't normally wear it now. Though I've been itching to buy some black polish. And grey. And purple. :p

Yeah,II don't wear nail polish much either. It just seems like a hassle to me. I have black nail polish. :-$ :p Never used it though. I have a deep wine-red color that looks better with my skin tone,I think. Especially during the fall.
Grey? Ooh,I'd like to try that!
BTW,I have a purple that's so dark, my dad thought it was black. ;))

Have you guys heard of the "Wen" shampoo? I've been using it and I really like it. :) After my hair dries, it feels really soft. Plus my hair wasn't as tangle-ly as it usually was. :P It was really weird using it at first though 'cause it's like using only conditioner.

^I saw an infomercial for Wen a long time ago. I almost bought it but I don't really trust infomercials so um I didn't get it :p . But it works on your hair? Maybe I'll get it then ;))

Ah! I have fallen behind and must catch up!

Re: Shampoo and Conditioner: I use only conditioner, as for the same reason as GTG. One of my friends actually made me read a book about it, as I was a do-only-as-the-bottle-says purist. Let me see if I can find it.... * returns link-less. * If I stumble across it, I will be sure to link ya'll. ;)

Re: Nail Polish: Never worn it, but I must say I very much approve of dark reds on hands. :)

Hmm, now that wasn't so bad afterall, now was it? ;)) #:-s

^^I read a book called Curly Girl. I liked parts of it but some was a little extreme. The way the lady tells you to cut your hair is a bit ridiculous, and she says to never straighten your hair! Sorry, but I still straighten mine every few weeks, I don't care how much it dries my hair out :p

I sometimes straighten mine, although it never gets completely straight cause I can't do that back properly by myself :P I have a special "protein" hair mask that I use every week or so to help combat the bad effects of the heat though.
I usually shampoo/conditioner each time, then I have a anti-frizz spray, then a glossing spray/cream, depending on my mood. I also have a "gloss" that I sometimes use in place of conditioner, but I'm not fully convinced it's as conditioning enough...

^I used a heat-protectant once and all it did was burn my hair. Now part of it is straight :(

How do you mean it "burned your hair"? How did you use it? *is confused*

I sprayed it on before I used the flat iron and while I was straightening my hair a bunch of smoke was coming up and I could smell burning hair. So thankfully I decided only to use it on the bottome layer. When I washed my hair out, that part was still straight. It liked killed the hair :( :p .

ooh, I see. I haven't tried anything like that, but I probably won't now :P
The hair mask I use I just leave on for a bit, wash off, and doesn't actualy work *with* the straightener.

Ok guys, it's almost bathing suit season and I need your help. This is kinda gross, but I have a nasty case of back acne. It basically spans across my shoulders and my swimsuit shows that so I want to get rid of the acne before summer hits. The problem? I've been using TONS of medicated acnewash 2-3 times a day (10% benzyl peroxide) and all it does is dry out my shoulders and irritate the pimples. It's not like it lowers my self-esteem, but when I look at it I think "Ew, I don't want people to see that!"

Anyways, I've heard that allergies to shampoo could cause it. If so, what kind should I use?

I've also heard that I should exfoliate my back. With what?

Then again some people say that a healthy diet is the best way to get good skin. What should I cut? Sugar or fat?

If I could get some help, it would be awesome. :)

edit: oh, and my skin is not all that sensitive.

Lucy P.: I would cut out alot of sugar. Healthy diets do help sensitive skin. Too much sugar always irritates mine. You might want to lower your fat intake as well. For shampoo I suggest something natural- with less ingredients than most. For body soap I would use an oatmeal body bar. Liquid soaps get farther away from natural ingredients and more in to chemicals which can irritate the skin. Maybe a little aloe would soothe your skin. That's basically all the advice I can give, I don't know much, but that's what's worked for me with the different skin issues I've had. Hope it helps :) .
