What do you think or do 1st thing in the morning? Is it a person? Place? Thing? Animal? Hobby? Event? Tell it all here!
The first thing I think of in the morning is what to do in school. I usually think of something energetic, to make me keep on going and not feel sleepy when I wake up.
Hope this thread is a successful one! .
"Two sides of the same coin"
If I wake up tired, I feel a bit grumpy. If I wake up refreshed, I feel great! I think about what I'm going to do for the day (this usually involves uni and study, reading and surfing the Net). I then wash my face, have breakfast, have a shower and get ready for the day. On weekends, I follow the same routine but don't have uni and I'm able sleep in. It's not very exciting.

haha good question!
well, when I wake up, I sing something (usually Skillet ) and then I jump on my sister to wake her up yelling "Peter, wake up! Peter, wake up!"
then I go downstairs and have breakfast.

It depends on whether it's one of my early mornings or not. If it's one of the mornings I have to get up early the first thing I usually think is: "Do I have to get up?" Or sometimes it's more like: "Whoever invented alarm clocks must have been nuts."
But if it's one of the mornings when I get to wake up later the first thing I usually think about is what I have to do that day.
It depends what time I wake up. Usually the first thing I think of is going back to sleep, lol!!!
But if it's a nice sunny day I start thinking about my stories...making them up, or imagining how I'm going to be writing them down

Waking up for work--"ugh the time went by too fast!" "is it really morning already?" ...then I lie in bed for 10 mins pep talking myself to get up and get ready to go.
Waking up when I can sleep in--whatever...sometimes I sort of quickly replay the events of last night/yesterday in my head to "get my bearings" and figure out where I am in my life

When I wake up, I'll usually lay there for about 10-20 mins clearing my thoughts or recoiling what I had just dreamt that can possibly give me story ideas. Then I'll get up, turn on my computer, make breakfast, check things on Narniaweb and my email and get ready for the day. That's pretty much a regular routine every morning for about 2 hours before I do something else.

Wow, all your answers were fun to read! Haha. I do that too! The waking up then staying in bed for 10-20 minutes and just trying to think about something to get me moving.
I usually think of Narnia, swear! I really get motivated when thinking of it then trying to recall some lines from the movies. It's fun, haha.

I work nights, so my "morning" is usually around 5:30pm . Usually when I wake up I try to think what to make for dinner because my wife will be coming home from her work about the same time. Then I spend the rest of the time not wanting to go to work until I'm finally confronted with the fact that I must. On the weekends I usually think of all the stuff I need to do around the house and never get to even half of it. *sigh*

^Whoa, that's tough but you are a responsible husband. Hope you don't get too much pressure .
"Two sides of the same coin"
When I wake up the first thing I think of is 'did my sisters beat me in getting up' and then I open my eyes, if my sisters are still in bed, then everything is ok and I'll close my eyes again and try to remember my dream. If my sisters are not in their bed that means that I am the last to get up once more, and since they've beat me already there really isn't any point in getting up so I close my eyes again and start trying to remember my dream . I
always be humble and kind
It matters if it's a school day or not. If it's a school day my first thought is "I have to wake my brother up!"
If it's a free day "I have to get up....oh no I can sleep "

First alarm rings at 6 Ah, 15 more minutes.
Second alarm rings at 6 Mm. Get up, sometimes get dressed if there is time, then go to the living room for Family worship, which is every morning. We sing, Dad reads the Bible, we sing some more, then breakfast and devotions and thinking of what I have to do for the day. Usually I think, "School, piano, violin, laundry, clean room, iron, birthday gifts, etc."
The list is usually the same.

Mmm, Queen Susan, I love how your family meets in the morning, before the day gets busy, to worship together. This sure puts the focus for the day in the right place, doesn't it?
My morning schedule:
~6:10 a.m. - alarm goes off, after which I get washed and dressed into running clothes
~6:30 - go for a jog (this morning it was just above freezing ... glorious, with Orion so crisp and clear high in the SSW)
~as soon as I'm back, I sit down to spend time in God's Word. If I don't do it then, it probably won't happen, and I find it necessary to begin with His perspective, needing to carry what He has shown me forward into whatever the day may hold.
~sometime before I leave, I briefly check emails, as well as a few modly things
~7:50 - head out on errands. In running a household, there are some most every day, and since I particularly like the early hours, I enjoy getting these completed early.
~9:30 to 10 - back home and ready to begin the work for the day
Honestly, I am such a morning person, it's almost ridiculous. When that alarm goes off—with rare exception—I slip right out of bed, eager to see what the day—what God—has in store, which often consists of quite an eclectic mixture.
