1. CS Lewis

I wouldn't want to have dinner with dead people. They'd just sit around the dinner table rotting and would probably be very smelly.
But if I had to choose...
Carl Sagan
Aristotle
Leonardo da Vinci
James Randi
Stephen Hawking
Joe Anderson
Fred and George are two of Rowling's greatest characters, and the boys really brought them to life.

Are we eating with these people all at once or separately one at a time? Because that distinctly changes my answer. For example, inviting Amy Poehler, C.S. Lewis, and Nelson Mandela all to a small dinner party with myself would be a decidedly awkward affair--none of them have a nationality or field of interest in common. Separately, they would all be phenomenal dinner guests.
Just on a whim, these are the people I'd ask

Thank you Lady Faith for the sig!
One of our astronauts who came home on the last shuttle mission.
I'd have to suggest Mike Fincke or Greg Chamitoff. They're both really funny and personable, not to say that the other astronauts aren't, but after watching NASA tv for a while and seeing Mike Fincke floating around the ISS and being a ham I think he'd be quite cool to hang out with.
Jimi Hendrix
Until he lit his guitar on fire on your dining room table in the middle of dinner.
