^^ Actually, I picture you looking like Galadriel... Is she the one holding the pitcher? If so, that could be why. Your username might have something to do with it too.
Yes, it's her.
I see Kate as a young redheaded woman (don't know why), and Bookwyrm in my mind looks like Rupert Grint with brown hair.
Interesting topic.
xD That's hilarious! (They've both posted pictures of themselves in Hair & Eye, but I won't say if you're right or not if you don't want to know)
Hmm, interesting topic...
I always picture places in my head before I go there. I always think about what it's going to be like there, what I'll be doing there, etc. Needless to say, it usually turns out better than I picture it.
As for how I picture other narniawebbers, I'm not really sure. Yeah, I think I just think of what their "post" looks like when I think or talk about them. Sometimes I'll even think of a past avy/sig they might have used for a while that I got used to. A lot of times the gender I envision them as is a combination of their name, avy and sig. Sometimes I'll be surprised to find they are the opposite gender of what I thought them to be.
I hope nobody gets confused about my gender... I don't know of any boys that would be brave enough to have "Fairy" in their name, so I doubt I'd ever get mistaken for a boy. Although my sig right now is of Zuko. But that's just because he's my favorite AtlA character. Not to mention he's a firebender, which works well with my name. I'm not exactly girly-girly, so I never have "hot" guys in any of my stuff, but my interests are kind of uni-sex, so I don't know. I usually have sigs/avies from my favorite movies (especially Miyazaki movies), from Disney movies, or of dragons or things like that. I also have a tendency to choose things that fit with my name, Fire Fairy. Like right now I have Eustace Dragon's eye, which works since dragons are associated with fire, and Zuko, who's a firebender. Interesting thing to think about. I wonder what sort of impression I have on other people. Basically I choose my avy/sig based on how I'm feeling at the time, and whether it makes me feel happy inside every time I post. If it doesn't, it's time to change it!

This is an great thread!
When I talk about NWebbers I usually think about their avatar , unless of course i've met them. But like my friends in real life when I'll talk about someone I picture their Facebook default. It's really interesting to think about.

I normally picture people in relation to their avatar. That makes me confused when their is a male picture for the avatar and the gender says female.
When reading books, I usualy imagine homes as ones I have seen or my own.

Aww thanks! (About liking the Pippin sig) I'm rather fond of it too. I love Pippin! And that screenshot always makes me laugh, so I enjoy seeing it when I make a new post. Heehee I guess I don't mind being pictured as Pippin... I kind of look like I could be related to Billy Boyd in real life. (Although I'm not sure you can tell that from the pic I posted in Hair and Eye Color) And of course, by now, a lot of you probably know I look just like a Hobbit.
I love Pippin too! And that screenshot, of course. Oh yes, I can definitely see the resemblance from that pic. And you do look like a hobbit!
And yes, I do picture you like that Robin Hood avvie, MountainFireFlower. And other times, when I see you, a mental image comes into my head of a flower on the top of a mountain...
Haha, well, I don't mind. And thanks. I get that a lot.
Once when I was in the hospital for a pre-surgery appointment, I was in the office and thinking about what my doctor would look like. I expected someone very average, so I was slightly surprised to see him come in.
Oh, I know! I do that a lot. It's especially funny when I'm expecting a man and a woman doctor comes in, or vice versa.

I don't ever think I've met you before, so, hi! Your username is kinda like mine. I hope no one mistakes me for a guy either... I mean, I do have the word flower in my username so I would hope not, but I do have guys as my avatar a lot of the time so you never know.

I do that too!! More often than not, when I'm writing, my main character's house ends up being like one of my friends' houses, or my house. Sometimes, very rarely, I come up with a house layout in my head all on my own, but then I get disappointed because I come to like it so much and then it's not real.
So, I went and looked through all 20-some pages of the Hair & Eye color thread (and for the record, I didn't see Bookwyrm in there either, Ithilwen). I was curious at what my fellow NWebbers look like. Now, I picture narnialover101, DamselJillPole, Ithilwen, ChristProclamer, Kate, Daylight, Lark, and a bunch of others like their real faces. It was definitely enlightening, and really cool to say the least!

Now that I think about it, I guess I do picture people like their avatar. DamselJillPole I always think of as having shoulder length straight brown hair and hazel/gold eyes, I don't know why. Maybe it's because she always insists that Jill should look like that.
DiGoRyKiRkE I always picture as having glasses.
glumPuddle I always think of as being tall and green-skinned and pessimistic and, well, like Puddleglum, his inverted namesake. The feet on his avatar probably help this.
I don't know that it's so much the faces or pictures on an avatar as the patterns and colors that I see. For example, if your avatar is black and white, I picture you that way. If it's red, I picture you that way. If it's soft pink and purple, I picture you that way. Go figure.

Hahaha fellow lurker, I did the same thing too... that and the virtual casting review
I tend to mainly see the person's avatar in my head unless I've seen their picture, which can be confusing if people change it a lot... Although some people's personalities really come through when the type... Like, some people put a very bubbly spin on what they write...

Hello back! Just so you know, I've never mistaken you for a guy... and I've loved your username since I first saw it!

I don't ever imagine my own home, but I have a certain generic "house" that nearly every character lives in whenever I read about them. Only when the description of the house interferes with my picture of it does it change.

Yes, I'm sure. I forgot that he posted it on the old forum, though. Here's the link to the post... http://209.210.60.109/forum/forum_posts ... 743#872743
Ah, I see! Thanks, MinotaurforAslan!
Booky looks a lot different from what I pictured. For some reason I always pictured him looking like a younger version of Mr. Knightley in the film version of Emma with Gwyneth Paltrow.
It would be interesting to see what some of my closest friends on here look like. Especially lover of narnia and The Rose-Tree Dryad. I picture The Rose-Tree Dryad as looking like Mia Wasikowska. Another of my friends, Chloe Mairead, I picture looking like Taylor Swift (even before she got the Taylor Swift graphics).
I did get to see a couple of my friends. Like violetfirekrazed, RuralNarniaFan, and Jillhope. RuralNarniaFan actually looked exactly like how I pictured him. But violetfirekrazed didn't. I pictured her looking like Aravis. It turns out someone had been picturing me looking like Aravis, too!
P.S. I got new graphics... I wonder how people will picture me now???
~Riella
haha, I actually picture people on here as whatever is on their avatar.....which can be interesting
