I've had a good time reading this thread. Now it's my turn.

My first use of the name dinode (it doesn't have to be capitalized, but it can be) was for a superhero I came up with who had cool gadgets and could transform into any kind of dinosaur. A combination of dino & node (which I think is a computer term). Not many other people use the name, so even though the hero has fallen into disuse, the name continues on for several online locations.

I also intend to use the name as a nickname for a character in a book I intend to write. His full name is Dinodesan.

Seeking comic book artist, PM for details.

Whenever I see your name on the forum I think of diodes, which are little electronic components that keep electrical current flowing in one direction and don't let it go backwards. Sort of like a backflow preventer. ;))

A diode!

Diodes in electronics are usually pretty small but they pack a lot of punch for their size. LED's (Light Emitting Diodes) which you see in electronics, new traffic lights, and flashlights (torches for our UK and Australian friends ;))) use a tiny amount of power but produce a huge amount of light. They also tend to have a longer working life than regular light bulbs, which makes them popular with the green folks. Diodes can also be chained together into a very specific circuit that can convert AC power like what comes out of your house's wall socket into DC, which is used to power electronic objects on a much smaller scale, like remote control cars, flashlights (or torches ;))), or walkie talkies. :-B

But this has nothing to do with dinosaurs or nodes (which probably use diodes in some capacity :P), so I'll leave it be. ;))

Man, all of you have such nice and cute stories of your username! Mine is quite simple really.

I took the verse from Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God..." etc.

So "Fear Not" came from the beginning of that and "12" is simply the month of my birthday :) I wish I had a better story!
