Homeschooler present! (The computer says that "homeschooler" isn't a word... I suppose if I hyphenated it that would fix the problem, as it fixes most other problems. Let's try it. "Home-schooler". Well, apparently "schooler" isn't a word either. "A person who is schooled at home". There, no spelling mistakes!)
Anyway, I'm homeschooled! (Apparently "homeschooled" isn't a word either. Let's try "home-schooled". Ah, there we go!)

Nice, HighQueenofNarnia. Hmmm.... my spellcheck only recognizes 'homeschooling' as correct.

When Word put a red line under homeschooling, homeschooler, and homeschooled, I clicked "Add to dictionary."
I have always thought it annoying that Homeschooler is not considered a word....I always add it to the dictionary.

Hey, guys!! I also am a homeschooler. I am the second oldest of seven children and YES all of us are homeschooled. Well... except for my older sister (N-E-M, she graduated in the spring. I defiantly enjoy being ahomeschooled Junior because there are SO MANY pros!!
Adeona, I think it is so cool that you have been homeschooled in Alaska. Where do you live?? I was born in Juneau and my sisters and I began homeschooling there. (PM me anytime if you want to talk!!)

This is actually my very first year of homeschool- I used to go to public school. Only, honestly, it feels so different I still refer to public school as just regular 'school'.
Not my fault, really. Think about it. With HS, I have fun and learn. If my PS had taught me anything, considering the personality type I have (not everyone is the same), it's that learning is an form of torture so extreme that even terrorists refuse to use it. (Alright, so maybe that in itself is a little sort of very extreme, but I'm trying to make a point. )
That's cool that you are homeschooled this year, LessThanGold! What program do you use? I do A.C.E.

Oh, dear! Depends on the subject... I know I use Apologia for science, but I can't remember the others! In fact, I'm not sure I have two subjects with the same program.
Now that I'm going to a (real) college, I've discovered homeschooling taught me how to study on my own. As long as I have the book available I don't need a teacher to teach it to me. I've usually grasped the concept way before he/she is done teaching it to the rest of the class. Then I have to wait while the ask a million questions because they weren't following along in the book
So other than the unsociable part of homeschooling, it's thumbs up from me

Oh same with me! Or because people don't read their syllabus. The same people would ask the same questions over and over and I just wanted to say "You asked that during the last two classes! Read your syllabus, it's in there!"
I am homeschooled, have been all my life and I love it.
I have tosay (No Offense to public schoolers) that I think Homeschoolers are more mature and excell in learning faster then public schoolers. Thatis not always though for Ihave met extremley annoying homeschoolers and extremley smart public schoolers.
