My sisters Lizzle and NarnianCricket are taking the PSAT tomorrow; it's going to be their first test in a school setting, and their first standardized test. Prayers would be appreciated!

Our family uses Saxon Math, Veritas Press history, and Apologia science.

I'm homeschooled and I love it! But as you guys have been talking about I don't like how people act when they figure out you're homeschooled. Of course not all people are like that but I know plenty who are. I was at a sunday school class one day and the teacher was asking everyone what school they go to. There were these two girls in front of me who were always whispering and laughing at the other kids in the class. (I can't stand those kind of people) Well when the teacher asked me what school I went to I told him I was homeschooled. One of the girls looked at me like she was disgusted with me! Then she glanced at her friend and they walked away. X(

Matsi: I know exactly what you are talking about. I have been judged by so many people both in the church and out of it because I am homeschooled and also because they think I'm not cool and it really hurt me. but I have been encouraged by people that I don't have to be perfect. I am who God made me and I don't have to be "cool", I can be who God made me and that's enough! but I know how much it hurts to be judged and looked down on. you are not alone in this! :)

I do ACE, although I did a little bit of Abeka when I was in first grade. I also learned to read with the Abeka readers.

The only advantage I find in being homeschooled is that I can take college level classes in highschool ( I am a sophmore). The stereotypes absolutely drive me up the wall.

I know several pros and cons for both homeschool and public school. I'm kinda both; most of my classes are homeschool (I watch A Beka DVDs), but I take German at the local highschool. I'm not really ignored in public school, but I'm not always aknowlaged. I do have a lot of people ask me why I enjoy homeschool, and I can lay out a very good argument for homeschooling; I could also lay out an argument against it, but I think my argument for it is much more convincing. :p
