I have read all of the books. I think my favorite is the last one where they pull all of the strings together and you get to see just how awsome Dumbledor is. (I think he is no matter what others say.)

Well, I haven't been in here in a while.

I saw the last movie with friends. Though I loved it, it wasn't quite all I wanted it to be. Just a few scenes, I felt, could have been made longer, fleshed out, given homage to certain characters, etc. Nothing y'all haven't covered. I nearly had a fangirl attack when Neville confessed his love for Luna.

I can't wait to sign up for Pottermore. It sounds fascinating, intriguing...fun! Out of curiousity for those already in, are you allowed to choose your own username, or is one selected for you? And...what house are you all hoping to get in? I expect I'll end up in Slytherin.

One of the things I find so interesting about both Dumbledore and Harry is that they spend so much energy fighting against the idea of "for the greater good" that Grindelvald and others promote. I find that very ironic, and I don't think it's supposed to be.

I only saw the film once in theaters and people keep saying that Neville professed his love for Luna....I guessed I somehow must have missed it or it went right over my head. What part was that? I am so confused...

In Pottermore, they give you 5 username choices that are pre-selected and you can choose from those.

mm1991, it's just a quick scene where Neville runs past Harry and asks him if he's seen Luna. He adds, "I'm mad for her. I figure I'd better tell her now, since we'll both be dead by dawn." And then he runs off to fight with a huge grin on his face.

Aw, bummer about the usernames. I'd rather choose my own, but I noticed all the names I'd heard had a certain similarity, so I thought it might be something like that.

Yeah, a lot of people were initially upset about it but oh well. There seems to be a lot of the same words used over and over again but in different orders and with different numbers. For instance, mine is GoldMahogany118 but I know there are other GoldMahogany's out there with different numbers at the end. I also see a lot of people that have the words "phoenix", "cat", "ash", "witch", "bat", "quaffle", "seeker", "accio", "auror", "hex", etc etc. in their names.

It would be so much better to choose your own username. i wonder why you can't?

Pottermore is big on making the website as absolutely safe for children to use as possible. Pre-selected usernames cut out the possibility of someone creating an inappropriate username. I was disappointed at first that we couldn't create our own usernames but once I read that, it made perfect sense. And I couldn't think of a cool enough name anyway.

Thats what i thought could be the reason and banning people with inappropriate username may be time consuming.

You get a choice of five names. I ended up with WolfsbaneWings34. I hope it works.

I kind of like how everyone was given a choice of names - it's sort of interesting to see how many random combinations the sever can come up with. I forget what my other choices were, but I picked MoonstoneUnicorn10 because I liked the 10 on the end. Plus, it sort of cracks me up.

I only wish I had been given a choice of something with the word "Silver" in it, because that would have been perfect.

I READ THEM ALL!!! I can't believe I did it but I read all seven Harry Potter books! I love them, however like my sis. Melian I have developed the habit of calling siblings Muggles However I too am confused by Pottermore what is it exactly?

I'm with you on that! I haven't signed up either, but I'm looking forward to doing so. As for the sorting, I'd like to think I'd end up in Gryffindor..... realistically though, it would probably be Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff.

Awesome that you finished the series as well, Silvan_Haven! Deathly Hallows is my favorite of the lot for the same reasons. It was wonderful seeing everything come together - and, of course, the huge plot twist at the end was amazing.

I think it rather interesting that a lot of people think that Snape is so awsome and yet the only reason that he started helping Dumbledor is for a reason that could be rather easily argued as being selfish.
I wont deny that he was a very brave man though
