I just saw Harry Potter for the second time and again loved it.
I felt, that from the midnight viewing and the friends who I was around I missed alot of the little lines, so it was great to hear them fully.
I concentrated more on the acting this time. some of the smaller acting George's reaction when
And I am a huge Maggie Smith fan, so I loved her here. She had some great little throwback lines I loved.
Helena protraying Hermione inside of Bellatrix was fantastic!
I also love Emma's acting when
And of course everything that involved Snape...beautiful

Agreed! I saw Part 1 recently and then Part 2 several hours later. It was quite the experience. Upon reflection, I enjoyed Part 1 more than Part 2 but elements of Part 2 were more enjoyable to watch the second time 'round. Unfortunately though, the intense scene wasn't quite so good. I'm surprised how little of the Battle they showed. If you edited it all together, you probably only get about 5mins of footage where Hogwarts student and staff are actively fighting Voldemort and his followers. That shows restraint.

I was expecting more magic fighting then there was. I still enjoyed it though, book scenes seem to go on way way long then movie ones.
More info on how to get early registration for Pottermore!
http://insider.pottermore.com/2011/07/7-books-7-days-7-chances.html
According to Mugglenet, the first clue was released about 4am EST, and registration for the first day is already over with. Six more chances to go!
Am I going to get up at four in the morning to try to get registered?
Ummm....
...maybe.
EDIT: Okay, so apparently the time the clue is released is random. So now I got a Twitter account just so I can get a text from Mugglenet when it comes out. Haha!
I hope it's not when I'm at work tomorrow...

Did anyone else hate the new movie? Well, hate is a strong word, but I disliked it very much.

Really? That's interesting, I think 6 is the best one of them all But I suppose we all have different tastes.

Hmm... that's really interesting. I thought it looked great and was well-acted etc. but the script was a mess and very different from the book. The book was mainly about Voldemort and his past with a subplot of students snogging. The movie was more about students snogging with very little of Voledmort's past. Most important of all, they totally stuffed up Dumbledore's death scene. I didn't feel sad at all during the movie.
But to each his own.

I saw part 2 today of Deathly Hallows and I enjoyed it so much!! I think I like it better then the rest of the Harry Potter movies. The storyline I felt was the best. Just loved it!

I was Harry Potter today in 3D and I dont really recommend it, honestly pribabally 2% of the entire movie actually felt in 3D, save the money and headache and see it in 2D
though if you get the special Harry Potter rounded 3D glasses, thats kinda cool

@Warrior, I can agree with a lot of your points, although I liked Dumbledore's death scene quite a bit.
I just didn't feel that DHp2 even felt like the rest of the movies - especially considering the same director made the last three! I felt that SPOILER ALERT! the effects were sub-par, important scenes and dialogue were either taken out or hopelessly mutilated, and the epilogue was ludicrously pathetic - I mean seriously, they didn't even do anything to make Emma and Rupert look different at all, and barely anything to the rest of them. Whoever made the decision to use the same actors should be fired, in my opinion. I think the final battle should have been changed more from the book (though the dialogue, being my favorite part of the whole series, should definitely have been left in) because it was such an unsatisfying end to watch, and again, crappy special effects made it look bad. Until Harry pulled them off the tower, I felt like I was watching The Empire Strikes Back, and I would have liked to see Harry used avada kedavra with the elder wand, simply for the films sake. After all, he's used all the other unforgivables by this point in the story (although his use of the cruciatus curse was cut from the film). Oh, and Bellatrix's final fight looked like it should have been in an old Indiana Jones film, and having ever bad guy just fall to pieces was really annoying to me.
That said, there were some good parts. A couple. McGonnagal vs. Snape was a great scene, the Prince's Tale was pretty good (though the Patronus just didn't look as well done as others in the previous films).
All in all, it feels the movie was rushed and ruined. Rant over, thanks for listening. No offense to anyone who liked it.

I think it would've ruined the character of Harry to have him use the Killing Spell. People wouldn't be able to sympathize with him if he were a murderer. And yeah, I know it is a battle but that's not what they are about. If the good guys are throwing the Killing Spell right and left, what makes them any different than the Death Eaters?
I do agree that they should've done better with making the actors look older in the 19 Years Later segment.
P.S."Brooklyn!"
I wish they could've shown a bit more of the battle from other people's persective, like in the book you see students and friends battling, and I would've loved to see that
and of course
but I LOVE this movie and I support it.
and I love the 19 years later, I thought everyone looked good older, though Emma was alot the same, I'm glad they used the same actors. And that scene gives me goosebumps
one thing, I was watching George closely, and it looked like they forgot to remove his ear in this film? I dont think it ever grew back in the book, but I could be wrong?

No, I didn't like the battle much. It was too long drawn out, and at one stage I thought Neville would miss his best moment in it. But I'm glad that Harry did not stoop to using Avara Kedavra. The last scene was okay in my opinion. They made Harry Potter's face a bit more angular. And the rest looked fine to me. People you have known in childhood don't really change as much as you think as they grow older - they are still them. But I agree that they seemed to have skimped a bit on special effects in this last film. The thing I really disliked most about the ending was .
the epilogue was ludicrously pathetic - I mean seriously, they didn't even do anything to make Emma and Rupert look different at all, and barely anything to the rest of them. Whoever made the decision to use the same actors should be fired, in my opinion.
It is possible to do makeup that makes one look convincingly older (think Back to the Future) but I agree with you in that they didn't quite do enough to make them look older. Draco Malfoy was the only one who seemed to actually look like a middle-aged person.
