Hmmm, does anyone have a clue when tickets to midnight showings are going on sale? I had my ticket and everything all ready to go to the last one...and then I got sick, so I couldn't go. And I'm determined not to miss this one.

You've only read Deathly Hallows?

May I ask, how did that work?! ;))

Well, I had seen all of the other movies before I read Deathly Hallows, so I had some idea of the story. (Now I want to go back and read all the books, when I find the time. :) ) I'm really glad though, that I read the seventh book before the movies came out. That way I was (and am) able to look forward to the movies so much more!

At any rate, I'm glad you guys liked it. Perhaps we shall have to enact another one at the next moot :P

Please do!! (And convince my mom to join in next time, if you do!) :D

I really don't know when the tickets are going on sale, but I just wanted to express my sympathy toward you since you got sick and had to miss the last movie's midnight showing! That must have been so disappointing!! :( I really hope nothing like that happens for this last movie so you can make it there then!

Hehe, thanks. ;)) I was really mad at my immune system. But then it was a school night, so I was afraid of being totally out of it the following morning. But since part 2 comes out in the middle of summer, I wouldn't miss it even if I do get sick again! :P

They haven't announced it yet. But be on the ready - when they do, I'm sure theaters are going to be selling out FAST!

The day for release of the last film is July 14th here. The time to start looking for pre-bookings is about a month before that, or at least a fortnight before HPDH2 is released. You can also book online

If you're looking to go to an IMAX showing at midnight, those sell out within minutes, so you almost literally need to reserve it as soon as they'll allow you.

Heh, I wish I could go to an IMAX. The nearest one is an hour and a half away, and last time we went there (for HBP) we got lost and almost missed the movie. ;))

At any rate, the theater near me started opening up more theaters for a 12:05 show, a 12:10 show, a 12:15 show, etc. So I don't think they'll sell out completely. But since I wanted to go with a group of friends, I need to go ask them who for sure can come, so we can buy all our tickets together and end up in the same theater.

That's what I plan to do also.

I would LOVE to see it the first day but it's just so busy and tickets would be hard to get anyways, it's better to wait.

It will be like torture though, trying to stay away from most of the sites I usually go on so that I won't see people talking about it in great detail.

I do not do midnight viewings. I'm usually in bed every night by 10 ;)). So I'd be far too tired to enjoy the movie! I'll probably go opening weekend sometime, and just buy my tickets at the gate (I can do this because I live in a small town ;)) ).

Neither do I! Movies usually start on Thursday evenings here, and I have to work on Fridays. A better solution is to reserve some tickets for the following Saturday arvo when we can all view the new movie at our leisure. That is, if we can get advance tickets, and if we can arrive early to avoid the queues. ;)
