I just noticed the tickets are being sold now in advance. I'm, going to buy them. The problem is who am I going to go with? I have two different groups of friends asking me to go, and my grandmother wants to go with me as well. I think I'll go with my grandma, because we always watch movies together.

You're lucky that your grandma wishes to see HP with you. Mine think cartoons are of Satan, so HP would definitely be out of the picture!
Currently watching:
Doctor Who - Season 11
^ I think my grandmothers an odd one. But then again, so am I, so it must run in the family. I hope I get to take her to Narnia as well. She enjoys them as well.
How early do you think I should get to the theatre (1 hour? 2 hours? before the movie?) I am going on the day it opens and I live in a big city...

DH is less than a week away! Woohoo!!!
Who else is going to see it at midnight? This'll be my first midnight movie. I'm going with my friends, who've all been to midnight showings before. I'm really excited! It's a good thing we bought our tickets early because the 12:01 showing sold out, and they had to open another theater at 12:05 to accommodate all the people who wanted to get up in the middle of the night to go see it. And that's saying something because it's kind of a small town. I'm going to be sooooo tired the next morning when I have to go to school. Urg.

We are all going to see HP on Saturday. I can't get prebooking tickets yet for VDT. Hoyts, or the barely listening girl at the counter, said they might be available next week. However, all my family are going to see that one, also, if I can arrange it. I don't mind that my children are grown up and that I am quite old enough to be someone's grandmother. (Oh what big teeth I have! )
But seriously, I object to the sorts of movies that are generally available for grandmotherly viewing. Or the attitude that oldies don't count. I'm not into mushy love stories, 'Days of our drearies', or sit coms, however intelligent. Mechanised monstrosities on the big screen don't appeal to me much, nor do all-conquering hero movies convince my sceptical mind. And whilst it must be nice to escort grandchildren to movies like Toy Story, Madagascar or Polar Express, I suspect that such movies have not enough, er, teeth to them to hold my interest.
I'd get there an hour early, to get a good place on the queue. But a lot depends on when the theatre lets people in, and if there is another session in progress.
ok, I am not a Harry Potter fan, but I have a question because I have to answer someone who is a Harry Potter fan:
does Harry Potter die in the end of all the books?

why doesn't he/she just watch the movie or read the book? That's a pretty big spoiler either way. Anyway, to answer the question:
^^ thanks!

You're welcome. Glad to have been of help to ya then
So Deathly Hallows: Part 1 comes out in a few hours. Who's going to see it at midnight?
I can't see it until NEXT WEEK (I am such a tortured soul. ). I am excited beyond belief. I've seen bad reviews and good reviews. The bad reviews seem to be from people who aren't fans (or at least big fans) of the books. So I'm not worried at all.

I was going to see it at midnight, but now all of a sudden I came down with a bad cold of some sort, and I can't anymore. *sobs* Hopefully I will still be able to see it sometime this weekend.
And I'm not worried because I haven't read reviews.

Well, a few of us have seen it now. What does everyone think about it? Personally I can't wait until July to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
