The Deathly Hallows trailer looks a hundred times better than the VDT trailer, but there are several reasons for that.

The music was specifically made for the trailer - as with most of the recent Harry Potter trailers. With VDT, they've just reused old songs by Intermediate Music and Two Steps From Hell.

The Deathly Hallows trailer was intended to appeal to older people such as us who post on online forums. The VDT trailer really appealed to a demographic that doesn't even make their voices heard on the internet - little kids.

Lastly, quite honestly, the shots from the Deathly Hallows trailer are breathtakingly gorgeous, and there's lots of contrast between light and dark shots. In the VDT trailer, almost everything is very brightly colored, even the Dark Island shots.

Just watched the Deathly Hallows trailer. That was absolutely gorgeous. I'm really excited about the first part coming out this winter, perhaps more excited than I am for VDT.

I saw the new trailer last night - looks great! Unfortunately most of the good clips aren't going to be in the first part, but I'm sure they'll pull something good. Now I am confident that it will be two great movies (:

This latest trailer is the best HP trailer yet.
I do hope that they make a trailer specifically for Part I though.

ABC family just released one of the first (I hope there'll be others this week ) Deathly Hallows special sneak peeks during their Harry Potter weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just literally saw the footage online and, WOW, I don't know what to say!!! I'm speechless! This movie looks AMAZING!!! I just can't wait for part one to come out in November, all these sneak peeks are amazing!!

First the trailer, now this. This is going to turn out to be some movie for sure. At least I hope so.

What do you all think of this new video? Has anyone else seen it yet??

I wouldn't say it's heretical. HP has a proven track record of great films; Narnia is still finding its legs as a franchise, therefore it's harder to anticipate VDT will be slam-dunk awesome - and it's easy to assume DH will be.

I'm excited for both, but DH 1 and 2 are legitimate event films - end of the series and everything.

@ GB, yes, it is different than the MTV sneak peek and the trailer. It shows some more scenes we haven't seen before (some during filming) and it has interviews with the trio too.

I'm more excited for DH, not because I think VDT will be a poor film, but it is my least favorite of the books, the story just never appealed to me. That said, I'm sure I will love the movie I'm honestly not that excited for DH part one, but for part two I am already exstatic - with a year to go!

I'm also more excited for DH. As much as I love Narnia, the Harry Potter films have been around longer and I have basically grown up with these films and now it's ending. So of course, seeing Harry Potter in theaters is more of a priority than seeing VDT (though I fully plan on seeing them both in IMAX 3-D).

As for the footage, it wasn't very high quality so it wasn't impressive to me and there was some clips we already saw.

@mm1991. Sorry about the footage not being high quality. At the time, there weren't any HQ vids out. There now are quite a few HQ vids out of the special and I think they're a lot better then the link I posted.

I too, am looking forward to DH more then VDT. mm1991 pretty much said what i've been thinking lately about the HP and Narnia films.

Today is day 3 of the Harry Potter weekend on ABC family! No new clips have been aired yet as far as I know, but two new ones were aired yesterday.
