And yes, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter park has finally opened!

However, I will not be going there for a long time. I dislike crowds and it's too hot outside right now. Perhaps in February or so.

I'm a big fan of the books, but I think only HBP was well made out of the movies and followed the book, although I enjoyed OP. The only problem with DH part one is that the book is really pretty boring until the last hundred pages or so; the only way I can see the movie being exciting is if they include the scene at Godric's Hollow, which judging from the trailers I think they will.

@ Andrew movies one and two I thought were well made because they were very close to the books!
The Deathly Hallows is my faveorite book so I dont think the movie will be very boring

@ Warrior 4 Jesus I'm suprised there isnt either :- though ther are alot of sneak peeks like the one from the MTV movie awards was very good and there are several other sneak peeks out there

Hmm, I suppose they were close to the books, in my oppinion not made very well, but they were made with a bunch of 11 year olds as actors and without the technology we have today, so I suppose I should be leniant.

Deathly Hallows is a good book, I love the ending, but reading through the trio's stay in the wilderness did get old pretty fast lol (:

Anyone here into HP fan stuff? I wrote a poem about the life of Voldemort that Scholastic sent to JK Rowling :D

There is lots about DH which is very exciting, depending on what you want. Gory and nightmarish? Try the first chapter. Not to mention Chapters 13 & 17. Funny? Try Ch 3 and Fred & George are always good for a laugh. Is it romance you want? Check out Ch 7, Ch 19 or some of the last chapters in the book. For battle scenes try Ch.4, Ch 31 and the last chapter.

There is even a spiritual side to DH in Chapters 16 and 35, in particular, but also elsewhere. And also plenty of fuel for ethical discussions in the context of the story. What do you make of any of the following?

Spoiler
Xenophilius Lovegood
Ron deserting Harry and Hermione
Kreacher's tale
Ron's reunion with the trio
Lupin wanting to abandon Tonks
Harry using a Cruciatus curse against Amycus Carrow
The incursion into the Ministry of Magic to recover the Locketcrux?

Some of my favourite chapters include The Ghoul in Pyjamas (Ch.6), Kreacher's tale (ch.10), The Silver Doe (Ch 19) as well as of the concluding chapters. It doesn't hurt that stranded in the wilderness the trio learn so much about themselves. Or how deadly are the forces they are up against.

I do hope the new movie doesn't diverge too much from the book. (Now where have I heard that lament before? 8-} ) Oh yes, it is on NarniaWeb. =))

Congratulations on having so much success with your poem. :)

Thats so amazing that your poem got sent to JK Rowling! Thats awesome!

I dont understand how people got bored during the forest part, I have never felt that way most of the stuff in the forest part have my favorite scenes!

The new Harry Potter trailer looks infinitely better than the VDT teaser. It's action-packed but seems to be grounded in the characters. Can't wait to see it!

I agree, W4J...The DH trailer looks so absolutely amazing, one of my first thoughts after seeing it was "now why can't they just make the VDT trailer like that??".

But man. That trailer was one of the best one's I've ever seen. The last two HP movies look absolutely incredible. 😀

WOW! :D That trailer blew me away. I can't wait to see the films.

To be fair, I thought the VDT trailer looked pretty sweet too. This Holiday Season will be awesome.

Yeah, I noticed that too - the digital removal of the blood on Hermione's hand. Something makes me think that the studio is going to push for a PG-13 and that the bloody hand pushed it over the edge. How? I don't know.

The two movies I'm looking most foward to: VDT & HP. This end of the year is going to be amazing!

Sometimes those ratings get kind of funky. I know with X-Men 2, there was a single stabbing scene that had to be removed from the theatrical version or it would have been rated R, even though the final cut (PG-13) still has plenty of very similar parts.
