A much belated thanks to all who wished me happy birthday here. My mom and dad threw me a surprise party and the surprises were the guests. Several family members I have not seen in a long time showed up. 
Nellie, unfortunately the card hasn't shown up yet. I'm hoping it'll show up before I go on my trip. If not, I'm hoping it'll be here by the time I get back. That is so cool that you made it! I'm looking forward to seeing it.

starkat, I'm glad you had a good birthday! It must have been quite a lovely surprise to see those family members who showed up that you hadn't seen in a long time. 
I hope the card will show up before your trip, too. When are you leaving (if you don't mind me asking)? I hope you have a wonderful time! (My mom is so excited, and she's really looking forward to meeting you and the others she hasn't met yet, as well as being happy to see all those she has met before, of course!)

Boo. It didn't show up in the mail today. Maybe tomorrow. I don't leave until Thursday morning early. I am looking forward to meeting/seeing everyone again.
