Wow, Pattertwigs Pal! and to think I was worried that I would have too long of a discription on my reply.. you've got a lot of typing..

I'm surprised so many of us are single around here and have read Narnia too many times to count.. O.o ..lol.. any more adds to this topic??

I tend to be a bit of an overachiever. (If you think this is long you should see some of my post in the reading group on the old forum. I also had trouble with going too long on papers when I was in high school and college ).
Part of the reason my section was so long was that I tried to include things I had in common with others as well as some of my own things. A lot of people seem to be into creative pursuits like writing, drawing, making graphics (like to do this to but felt my previous post was a bit long ), cross stitch (ditto), etc.

Hobbies or interesting thing about you: I'm a Lord of the Rings fan too, I have several penpals from several different countries, hmm...I want to be a forensic scientist when I'm older (heh) hmm...donno what else to put Oh, I'm also best friends with the author of the Ranger's Apprentice Series, John Flanagan. If you have questions for him or me, just ask That's all I can think of at the moment

5. How you learned about NarniaWeb: I first discovered it back before LWW came out when I was addressing some questions from fans on another site. I didn't join until late the year before Prince Caspian came out, and even since then my posting here has been pretty spotty. What can I say?-- real life has me hectically busy!
6. How old were you when you first read the Chronicles: I was around 8, not sure if it was before or after my birthday. I just know I immediately strongly related to Lucy and started drawing millions of fan-art pictures.
7. How many times have you read the Chronicles: There's no way I could count!
8. Favorite of the Chronicles: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Silver Chair
9. Hobbies and/or interesting things about you: My tastes are unusual in pretty much every way. I love researching the resistance movement in WWII Europe and have tons of old source books and accounts from that time. I have a strong love of music, especially world music (Latino/Andean most of all), and the social justice-themed music of the Nueva Trova/Nueva Cancion movement. I also love strong Christ-centered messages that focus on His life and teachings. Other hobbies? Activism, or any way I can help my adopted community (immigrant families), art, as in pencil portraits or watercolor pictures, deep discussions of issues that matter to me, spending time with my family, of whom I'm fiercely protective.

How you learned about Narniaweb: I was googling Narnia sites shortly after LWW came out, and Narniaweb was at the top of the list. I've lurked since then until finally getting up the nerve to join.
How old were you when you first read the Chronicles: I was 7; my dad took me into our basement and gave me a book with a terrible cover called The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I thought I'd give it a try and ended up reading all seven books in two weeks.
How many times have you read the Chronicles: Countless; every time I reread them I discover something new!

Hobbies and/or interesting things about you: Jesus Christ is Lord of my life and I am following after Him as hard as I can! I am a full-time big sis and I love almost every minute of it. I'm an avid reader and writer and a devoted history geek. I love making and listening to music(especially Tenth Avenue North) and playing fantasy football! Fact about me: when I was younger, I used to compete in spelling bees, so now misspellings and typos drive me absolutely nuts(especially in the professional/business world).

5. How you learned about NarniaWeb: I think I stumbled across a link from NarniaFans back in 2005. I preferred NarniaFans at the time so I didn't start coming here regularly until Jan '08 when I stumbled across glumPuddle's videos. He pushed the website so much that I thought "Well, maybe I should take another look."
6. How old were you when you first read the Chronicles: I avoided them like the plague until I was 13. (The old cover art for the books and the BBC movie cover made them look very uncool.) Then my sister sat me down and started reading LWW to me. I read the rest within the year.
7. How many times have you read the Chronicles: Myself? Only once. I get too much joy from hearing actors perform them for me. I've listened to the audio books once or twice, depending on the book, and I've heard the radio dramas countless times. The books are on my reading list though...

9. Hobbies and/or interesting things about you: Reading classic works of literature, writing music, theater, writing in general.

ALOT lol seroiuslly if i'm not on the computer narniawebbing i'm reading lol I play piano ... i got a trophey this past recital woot woot lol I play volleyball and I'm a HUGE steelers fan. 5. How you learned about NarniaWeb: Uh, I think it was when I was googling Narnia and who played the Pevensies in 2006 after I saw LWW. Only a month ago I joined.
6. How old were you when you first read the Chronicles: I think 9; my parents were giving the 7 book volume to my cousin, and I read LWW before we wrapped it up!

9. Hobbies and/or interesting things about you: Besides Narnia, I am obsessed with The City of Ember and Phineas and Ferb. I play violin, used to play french horn, and am teaching myself clarinet and piano. I am an avid reader and writer. Me can also be very spontaneous.

5. How you learned about NarniaWeb: I have known about NarniaWeb ever since I heard the first rumors about them making LWW. I started googling the new movie in early 05 and found this site and Narniafans. This is my second stab at foruming on Narniaweb (joined for a little while right before PC came out) I have been a faithful poster at Narniafans forum since Oct of 2006. Hopefully you guys will enjoy the same privledge.
6. How old were you when you first read the Chronicles: I first read them for myself in 5th Grade, at the time, I only read LWW and PC, I read all of them after the first movie came out.

7. How many times have you read the Chronicles: Many times...I'm in the process of reading them again, and am absolutely enthralled...in such a different way now that I'm older.

9. Hobbies and/or interesting things about you: Music is a huge passion of mine. I play piano and flute, and am teaching myself guitar - I absolutely love to play for church and to play hymns, sacred music, and worship songs. I'm also a classical pianist and love classical music. another passion of mine is AWANA, which is a church-based Bible club. I LOVE Bible quizzing [where my current avatar is from] and hope to go to Summit [national High school awana event] eventually. I also love scrapbooking and photography, although I'm not very good at either.

5. How you learned about NarniaWeb: I was on the phone with my friend. We were both on the computer, too. She googled "Narnia websites" and found NarniaWeb. I asked my dad and joined; she's still waiting for her mom to preveiw it.

6. How old were you when you first read the Chronicles: Fourteen, but my mom read them to me when I was five, and I've listened to the audiobooks to oftain to count.

7. How many times have you read the Chronicles: I actually haven't read them all yet myself . My mom read them to me, then we got the audiobooks, and we didn't even have all of them; Mom borrowed them from the library. But I bought myself a set, and am working on reading them for myself.

9. Hobbies and/or interesting things about you: I play guitar, occationally draw comics, oftain attempt to write books, and am really bad at spelling. I listen to alot of music (Tenth Avenue North, Relient k, Stellar Kart, Rush of Fools, Newsboys, etc.), check my email multiple times a day, and I collect random facts and seemingly useless information. I also like the TV shows MacGyver, Airwolf, and The Dukes of Hazzard (not the first season, though).

I'm new. Well, not new to forums, but new to this forum. Just thought I would introduce myself. I am by no means an expert on Narnia, though I read the books more than once to my kids.

I noticed one of your moderators is johobbit. I did not know they had hobbits in Narnia. Is this a recent development in the land of Narnia? Just kidding. Looking forward to meeting you all.
