Oh yes, johobbit, it's very fitting that I work at a coffee shop. It does seem to be a popular job - I'm only hired because I know the manager, he already has too many employees.

Bacteria interest me because I find them very interesting, obviously. I learned about bacteria in Biology last year, and I found their life, survival, transformation, colonies, and everything about them fascinating. And surprisingly enough, I remembered a good deal of it, though I most likely couldn't couldn't hold a conversation with anyone on the subject. And no, I kissed the lamppost on a warm spring day a few years ago, so there were no freezing problems.

My username is Tolkien-based, but not in the way you mentioned. It's my real name in Elvish. Of course, I just got it off a fan site site, so it's probably not quite correct, but I liked it enough to keep it.

9. Hobbies and/or interesting things about you: Since vanishing from NWeb in 2005, I have spent several months interning for an international NGO in Southeast Asia. I'm a big (and outspoken) proponent of social justice, especially where poverty in third world countries is concerned. I'm thinking of changing my major (for the third time) to Pre-Law. I am involved in several anti-breed specific legislation lobbies as well as loudly educating people about responsible puppy purchasing (hint: backyard breeders are bad). I'm also a big language buff. I love French and Latin especially. Russian would be cool to learn.
