I'm really interested to see Christopher Eccleston as the bad guy Thor 2...I've only seen him in Doctor Who and 28 Days Later, and I really wanna see him in more stuff.
And I'm already psyched to see The Dark World as it is, so it's doubly exciting.

Wow. That was fantastic! Really well done. I didn't see any LotR's footage though. Maybe a smidgen of The Hobbit though.

Hm, it was there, very very breifly though, @ 1:19 it shows Aragorn throwing a torch (when he's fighting off the Ring-Wraiths after Frodo is stabbed).
I'm glad you enjoyed it, I liked it alot, but I can only imagine how long that took to make, considering they're all about half second clips. That's a huge edit job.

In other news, I just heard that they're making an Expendalbes 3 film, with Mel Gibson as a villian, (weird) & they're replacing Bruce Willis with Harrison Ford.

Lots to talk about today...
First of all, has anyone besides me been following Frozen? It looks like a cross between The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Tangled, with a little bit of the recent Mirror, Mirror thrown in. So perhaps not original, but it still looks fun. I've been craving some good, clean, silly kids movies. Last one I've seen that I've really enjoyed was Wreck-It Ralph.
Second, Captain America: The Winter Soldier trailer. Huh? Huh? I know I'm personally sick to death of super hero movies and haven't seen the last several that have been out, but this one looks pretty decent. I know a lot of my friends have been gushing about it since yesterday afternoon.
And finally, I remember a few years ago here on NarniaWeb the 'Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell' craze that happened. It seemed like EVERYBODY that was active on the forum at the time read the book, including me. I know for me it was really difficult to slog through and it wasn't an enjoyable read for me, but thinking back on the story, it was a really good story. Anyways, big casting announcements today for the BBC miniseries adaptation.

The two I'm familiar with are Eddie Marsan who was in Sherlock Holmes, he'll play Mr. Norrell, and Samuel West who was King Caspian in BBC VDT. Don't know his role yet but if he's the Gentleman with the Thistledown Hair... .
At any rate, because I'm not madly in love with the book, I'm really looking forward to this miniseries because I won't mind changes as much.
Being an Animation fan, I've been looking forward to Frozen. My sister has been following Frozen very closely, so I get my information from her. It did remind me a lot of LWW. It is based on Hans Christian Anderson's The Snow Queen, except obviously Disney-fied (and changed in ways that I actually don't mind, though, not having any attachment to the original story ) Kristoff and Ana going on a trip together with Sven and Olaf did remind me a lot of Flynn and Rapunzel with Maximus and Pascal, but story-wise, the plot is a lot like Brave.
I found a children's storybook of Frozen at target and read the entire plot... so I have mostly spoiled myself. But I am really looking forward to it! It looks like it's going to be very visually beautiful, as well as humorous. And the story itself drew me in, particularly the family relationship between Elsa and Ana.

The next Captain America film is looking really good! I really the like the angle they are taking. How they are diving into the ethics of what SHEILD does. It looks really interesting.

Thanks for posting that, SnowAngel. I was looking forward to their next movie but forgot to check lately. Will be interesting to know what it will be about when they finish the script and officially announce the title.

There is definitely no "a" in definite.
The Mind earns by doing; the Heart earns by trying.
I haven't been following Frozen at all, but I'll probably see it when it comes out; my sister has already set up a tentative plan to see it with at least a friend or two of ours.
That's really neat news about JS&MN, fk! How exciting! Samuel West is the only one I really know, but it'll be great to see him in it. I wonder who he'll be; it'd make sense for him to be the Gentleman with Thistle Down Hair since he's one of the few major characters left, and that'd be exciting. I really need a reread of the book now, though.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier looks really neat. I'm rather looking forward to it. It will be interesting to see how they deal with S.H.I.E.L.D. and with Steve adjusting to modern life. I'm also curious to see how they'll handle Natasha and Steve's relationship; I believe they get romantically linked in some of the comic books, but I'm really hoping they don't go that direction here. For one thing, they had a nice camaraderie in The Avengers that could turn into a good friendship, and for another, it'd be nice to see a superhero movie with both a strong male and female lead that weren't eachother's love interests.
Thor: The Dark World comes out this weekend; is anyone planning on seeing it opening day? My sisters and I wanted to go to a midnight showing, but our theater doesn't have one; it does have both a 8 and a 8:30 pm showing on Thursday night, but we have Bible study running until then, so...
Some days you battle yourself and other monsters. Some days you just make soup.
I've been following Frozen for the past month, and I am very edited for the movie'a release at the end of the month. Looks like a very heartfelt movie dealing with the relationship between the two sisters, exactly my type of movie. Plus I'm quite excited for the songs that will probably become my new favorite Disney songs. I'm just a bit excited, that's all.
I, of course, am flipping excited for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. It should be completely epic. Also really looking forward to Frozen, Thor: The Dark World, and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. I recently finished reading the book, so now I'm super excited for it! Anyone else can't wait for Catching Fire? 15 more days.

There are a couple new trailers out now that I thought were worth mentioning...
Maleficent
And Divergent
Maleficent... I think Angelina Jolie as the baddie is amazing, and I love Elle Fanning. Not sure about the Tim Burtonesque look though.
I haven't read Divergent, but I'm kind of curious about the story. The trailer looks interesting.
Finally, the trailer for the upcoming biblical epic "Noah" is out!
I haven't yet seen "Thor: Dark World" and I'm interested in "Catching Fire" and obviously "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug". "Noah" looks good but I've heard some worrying rumours about the direction they took (it's based on a French graphic novel, not the Bible.
