Sorry, guys. I guess silliness doesn't translate well via the Internet. Yes, I know who Tintin is. The Adventures of Tintin were paramount in helping me to learn to love reading. They sparked my imagination, along with The Chronicles of Narnia. I'm a huge fan of Tintin and have been so for 22 years (wowsers!). I really enjoyed the first movie, despite some reservations and I'm looking forward to the next one. I reckon it'll finish off Red Rackham's Treasure. I've heard talk of the 2nd movie being an espionage thriller though, so that brings to mind The Calculus Affair. But I don't know if there's any truth to the rumour. Maybe they'll use both albums.

Ah, I didn't know it was a joke ; I was a little confused.
I suppose they would continue the treasure plot; I am curious as to how they will introduce Professor Calculus (he was really funny in the comics ). I wonder if The Blue Lotus will make its way into one of the plots (most likely third, I guess...)

Every time I think of a quote or witty comment to put here, the quote is not so spectacular and the comment is not so witty.
Just saw the first teaser trailer for Catching Fire! It looks pretty cool!
I thought the first one was pretty good and it followed the book very closely.
But it really suffered from not being able to get inside Katniss' head.
I know it wouldn't have worked but you miss so much from the books in the translation to film.
The only other film I've seen by this director is I Am Legend which I really liked. I Am Legend was very character driven which is how a Hunger Games film needs to be.
Really looking forward to it!
I thought the Catching Fire trailer was absolutely brilliant!!! It captured some of the poignant themes the story deals with, yet only tantalizing the viewer, especially for those of you haven't read the book!!! I've watched it several times now, and I just keep thinking that it was SUCH a brilliant trailer.
Yes, the trailer was much better than the book.

Anybody who knows me knows that my least favorite superhero is Superman, followed closely by the Hulk. I didn't have much interest in the upcoming movie, but I watched the Man of Steel trailer after I saw everybody raving about it on FB. I dunno, I must be more burned out on superhero movies than I realized cause it didn't do much for me. Though admittedly, it was a good trailer.
The one thing I will say though, I saw an interview that
I'm not really that interested in Man of Steel either. However, the lack of kryptonite does sound like an intriguing concept for the overall storyline.
I do have to say that I am looking forward to Iron Man 3 and am curious about Thor 2 and Captain America 2. I'm a bit leery though as they are sequels. If they can keep up the pattern set with Iron Man and Iron Man 2 and throw "sequel-itis" out the door, then they should be good. Not a fan of a sequel for the sake of sequels. Storylines and character development suffer badly in those kinds of movies. Iron Man 2 was one of the first "sequels" that I actually liked because it had a decent storyline and there was character development as well.
Is anyone else interested in The Lone Ranger? My siblings and I are interested in seeing it in theater when it's released, we haven't been to the theater since Courageous was released. We are very picky about what we choose to see at the theater.

Christ is King.
I'm avoiding The Lone Ranger. I grew up listening to reruns of the original radio show and the trailers I've seen definitely veer from the original storyline. I am not a fan of what they've done to it.
Spoilers I'm unhappy with from trailers:
Now if it turns out to be a much more typical Lone Ranger tale, then maybe I'll watch it. But after growing up listening to the radio shows, the newest incarnation doesn't appear to resemble that much.
SnowAngel, if y'all are *really* picky about what you see in theaters (or even on DVD), you might not want to go see The Lone Ranger. Pretty much ditto everything Kat said, plus it pretty much looks like "PotC in the Old West".
If that sounds like your thing, then go for it.

Sooo, has anyone else seen the new trailer for Thor 2?

I can't wait for Iron Man 3 and Star Trek: Into Darkness!
The Thor: The Dark World Trailer is awesome! Thor is my second favorite avenger after Iron Man so I am really looking forward to see it later this year.
I can't get enough Loki! I'm really looking forward to the scenes between him and Thor.
The one thing I will say though, I saw an interview that
So that right there brings it from completely uninterested to slightly interested.Spoilerthere will be no Kryptonite in the movie. THANK YOU!!!
I'm not a huge fan of Superman either (actually besides Batman, I don't care for any of the DC comic characters). Funny though because I found it annoying that they decided not to included
Thats like taking away the But thats just my opinion. I will most likely be seeing Man of Steel because I'm such a big fan of Christopher Nolan, and since he helped on the script I think I will enjoy this version of Superman.
Is anyone else besides me interested in seeing Pacific Rim?

There is a recent update for those of you who are interested in Sherwood Pictures, the movie making ministry of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia.

It appears that the Kendrick brothers are going independent and already have their own new website.

So if you are a fan of or interested in any of their past movies: Flywheel, Facing the Giants, Fireproof, or Courageous, you will be pleased to know that they plan to continue on their endeavors in the medium of motion pictures.

There is definitely no "a" in definite.
The Mind earns by doing; the Heart earns by trying.
I've never been the biggest fan of Superman, and even seeing that Christopher Nolan is involved doesn't do much to spike my interest, but i might be amenable to seeing it on DVD or something.
Loved the Catching Fire trailer, though. I thought the trailer for the first one was just about the best one i've ever seen, and this one was just as good.
Thor was probably my least favorite of the standalone Avengers films i saw, and i can't say that trailer looks particularly outstanding, but i'll probably see it anyway. Especially since Christopher Eccleston is in it.
7chronicles, i saw the trailer for Pacific Rim before another movie ... don't recall what, offhand. Near the end of it, I was like "... is that Ellen McLain's voice I'm hearing? No .. wait, yes." Can't say i'm interested in seeing it, but i thought it was awesome that GLaDOS from Portal will be in it.
I've never been a huge fan of The Lone Ranger, but i have zero interest in the new film. I don't really like Johnny Depp, and it just looked stupid to me.

The Thor 2 trailer didn't blow me away but I enjoyed the first, so I'll probably see the second, even if it's only on DVD. The Hulk bored me to tears in everything but The Avengers (so I have no love for the two Hulk movies). I'm more of a Batman fan than a Superman fan but this third Superman trailer seems to show awesome visuals and heart, so I've keen to check it out.
I may see Pacific Rim in the cinema, but I'll definitely check it out on DVD.
Arwenel, you don't like Johnny Depp? I thought all women loved him?

Yes I loved hearing GLaDOS! I wish her voice was remaining the same in the final cut of the film, but del Toro said that her voice will "be less processed in the final version of the film " and that he was given permission from Valve to use the exact GLaDOS-styled voice in the trailer. I'm Hoping it will still sound similar to GLaDOS.
