I really like her dress. Cinna's been working his magic again
I also like the picture of her pointing her bow directly at the camera:

Salvation is a fire in the midnight of the soul-Switchfoot
I love the depth of the poster as well! Very cool. For those who know the books, it hooks them, and for those who haven't, then it is still really cool.

When can we start looking for a trailer, do you think?
Btw, I might be mistaken, but I *think* that's part of the Cornucopia in the second poster that FK posted. I've seen aerial shots of the Cornucopia from when they were filming and I think that's it...I'll have to double check to be sure. Love the stylizing.
ETA: Yeah, I'm fairly certain that's the Cornucopia.
With regards to a trailer, I imagine we'll see one come out with the summer blockbusters. What does Lionsgate/Summit have coming out this spring/summer, does anyone know? They've JUST kicked off marketing for CF and haven't even finished filming yet, so I don't think it will be any time soon.
That's a great second poster, fk. Thanks for sharing it.
Sheroo, personally, I don't think
Some days you battle yourself and other monsters. Some days you just make soup.
Ah, okay. That's good. Cause while it's so pretty, I was thinking, "No....it can't be..."
Wow. Yeah, the more I think about it, the more amazing this poster is.
Not to mention, the Cornucopia (can you tell I'm fixated on this? ) They're promoting the victory from their Games, while the central visual landmark of their next Games is unknowingly right behind them. So much foreshadowing! Dun dun dun.
I also noticed the wedding-type symbolism in the pure colors of the clothes they're wearing, and even the stark white/gray color scheme of the poster. It's almost unnerving how bland and sterile and devoid of color it is, which I think is the intent.
They look so great in the promotional photos, Peeta especially. They look older (which they are), which adds to the whole effect of how they've been through a war, essentially). Peeta especially looks awesome (and I can see how he's become a lot more tired and hardened after the end of THG). Anyway, overall I'm very pleased with what we're seeing so far. Despite my misgivings about the first film, I am looking forward to seeing what they do with the second.
Oh, and Sam Claflin in that promotional photo they released a while back? My goodness. I now see why they picked him for Finnick. Here's hoping he pulls it off well!

Oh definitely. The huge over-arching cornucopia can send chills down anyone's spine. And I agree that Peeta looks older...like he's ready to take on the role he does in Catching Fire.
I have been concerned about how they might adapt two points though and was wondering if anyone had heard anything about how the movie was dealing with them:
If it's too early to know, I'll just hope they don't ruin it. Thanks.
As far as the train bits, I really can't say. I've only seen one of the movies that Francis Lawrence has directed (I Am Legend) and I don't really have a feel for what his style is. But remember, it will be a PG-13 film, so there's only so far they can go. Suzanne Collins works with the production and I don't think she would sign off on anything that she felt was inappropriate. Anyway, we will have to wait and see.
Seeing everything on here about Catching Fire really makes me want to see a trailer for the film now.
Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!
Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
Hey, for any Tintin fans, apparently there is a predicted date for the next movie

I wonder which book(s) it will be based on...

Sounds interesting. What's a Tintin?

Pardon? I would think you'd recognize him in your icon.

Did you just pick up your av because you liked it, W4J? Tintin and Milou/Snowy are in your av. It's logical, then, that the film CS is referring to is from the same series.
Avatar thanks to AITB
Thanks for the release date info, CSLN! Do you have any thoughts on what books they might do next? It's been a while since I've read them, but isn't there more they could do with the Red Rackham's Treasure storyline?
