^^ I'm going to go see it, lol. It looks like a pretty fun romp, and Charlize Theron makes a really delicious villain. I'm pretty much seeing this in SPITE of Kristen Stewart, so you know that the rest of the movie must look pretty appealing for me to overlook that.
Try this link for the Les Mis trailer; NBC keeps blocking it and I haven't been able to find an official link yet, bah. Someone at their publicity department should get fired, lol!
Yeah, they keep killing the Les Mis links for some reason. And I got my link from an actual film news site. Not sure what's going on with that. But if you can get a valid link, watch it! It's really a beautiful trailer. I've never watched the musical or read the book and I'm excited for this movie.
I'm not sure if I'm going to see Snow White & the Huntsman in theaters or not. I want to; I think it looks pretty amazing, despite Kristen Stewart, but none of my friends have as of yet expressed an interest in going to see it with me and I don't really do solo movie viewings.
I'm also interested in seeing "Snow White & the Huntsman", despite Kristen Stewart.

Gymfan15: Yeah, I figured you were going to see it...I first heard about it on your blog.
Thanks for the Les Mis trailer...I'm a tad disappointed though. Won't be seeing this...guess I'll have to stick to the Broadway version, if I ever watch any at all. Or I could always be sticking to the book. Have to ask though: Is it just me, or does Russell Crowe look a bit out of place? I mean, honestly... it's a musical...is it just me, or is that a bit funny? When I think of him, all I can see is this:
He'll always be a gladiator to me, so...it's just hard seeing him in something else. Especially a musical
As for Snow White & the Huntsman...I wasn't so sure what to think of it. It had 2 strikes against it: Kristen Stewart............and it looked fairly dark. Now, it's off my list: I saw a picture of the evil Queen from the film, and it wasn't so...nice. So............no.

Apparently Kristen Stewart is a good actress when she's not Bella. Also, one of the selling points for me, is the fairly dark feel to the trailer. It doesn't look over-the-top gritty and grungy but something more akin to Grimm's fairytale than more modern sanitized versions of the story.

After seeing the newest Bourne Legacy trailer I"m getting kind of excited about it. When I saw the first teaser it looked like they had abandoned the realistic gritty feel of the previous ones and were making a normal action movie. Though I still think it doesn't feel very "Bourneish" it does look like it could be very entertaining. And I really liked Jeremy Renner in Avengers and I think he's a great pick to carry on the franchise.
Also looking forward to the Dark Knight Rises. Bane looks like he'll be a great, and rather unique villain.

Oh same here. It looks really cool. I had my doubts too.
Stumbled across a new movie yesterday that I hadn't heard of before called Maleficent, based on Disney's Sleeping Beauty. They released the first picture of Angelina Jolie as Maleficent yesterday I think. That's here.
I'm not a fan of Angelina myself, but the thing that caught my attention is that Elle Fanning is playing Princess Aurora. I'll be keeping my eye on this one.
.... weird. I had not heard about this one yet, I guess it goes with the "re-invent classic fairy tales!" mode everyone in Hollywood seems to be in at present.
Not exactly a compliment, but Angelina Jolie looks nye perfect as Maleficent.

I've never read the books, so I'm not sure if splitting it was necessary.
I'm curios to those who have read the book, is this a necessary move?

I'm reading Mockingjay but it really drags for the first 2/3rds. There's absolutely no reason for them to make it two movies. Honestly, The Hunger Games 1, 2 and 3 could be easily done in a total of two movies.

The first Daredevil with Affleck wasn't horrible, per se, but just lacked that special something that a few other superhero films have had. I still think that Michael Clark Duncan was an inspired choice for Kingpin. I'm curious who they'll pick for that role.
I don't remember Mockingjay as being painfully slow, but if they want to make a 2-parter on it then there will be no excuse for not keeping it closer to the book.

I'm not really sure how they're going to split Mockingjay into two movies at this point. I hope it isn't just because it's the Thing to Do in Hollywood right now (Harry Potter, Twilight).
In related news, Philip Seymour Hoffman has been cast as Plutarch Heavensbee and Jena Malone as Johanna Mason. I'm not familiar with anything done by Hoffman, but apparently he's considered a great actor. I did see Jena Malone in the latest version of Pride and Prejudice ... which i hated, but maybe she'll be good.

You're not familiar with P.S. Hoffman? Wow. That man has great talent.
I first saw him in Patch Adams, not his strongest role most would say, but I liked it. He was in Doubt, nominated for an Oscar too. I believe he did win for Capote. Among his many other movies...
Anyway, as far as actor's go- he's a terrific one!
I can't wait to see what he does with this role.
As for the splitting, I don't think Mockingjay needs two movies. However, I strongly disagree that the three books could be handled in just two movies.
