Only a month left. Rellay excited about it, read the first 3 Barsoom Novel of Edgar Rice Burroughs
Anyone know anything about a new National Treasure or Indiana Jones film?

New trailer for The Amazing Spider-man:

I'm starting to get excited about this one. Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen both look fantastic, and it looks like there's going to be some of Spidey's trademark wisecracking that was so lacking in the original three films. My only concern is the Lizard; the very brief glimpses we've seen of him so far don't look very promising, but I'm hopeful that Garfield and Stone can carry the film.

If you believe IMDb, National Treasure 3 is in development and will be released in 2014. Wikipedia says that filming was supposed to start in late 2010, which apparently didn't happen, but doesn't say anything about a cancellation. I couldn't find anything concrete about an Indiana Jones 5, just a few interviews about how Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg would maybe like to do another at some point. Here's one of those interviews if you're interested:

Sparky 2014!!!!!!!!! AGH! I can't wait that long!
Man - Nicholas Cage will be old by then. But it wouldn't be the same without him. And Riley - Riley makes it.

I personally think it's a bit early for a new Spider Man series, but if they make one I'll watch it
I'm not totally sure how I like the way they've darkened it all. A big thing in the the Toby Maguire ones was the overall lightness and humor of the movies that worked really well.
And I REALLY don't like where he beats up the cops. I can see knocking one of them aside to get away but Spider Man has no business beating them up.
Can't say i'm too interested in the looks of that new Spider-Man movie. All those shots of Peter with Gwen looked a little too "sexy" for my tastes, it did look darker, and he just didn't seem like Peter Parker - what with accosting the bully in the hall and getting the girl. Spider-Man, more or less, but not really Peter Parker.
Of course, i've never read the comics; the Sam Raimi/Tobey Maguire version is my only experience with Spidey. I thought they were decent, but would be open to a good alternate interpretation. Just not sure from that trailer if this new one is going to be it, though.

The latest Brave trailer/feature has definitely piqued my interested in a movie for the first time in a long time. Like, I want to go to the theater to see the movie rather than just wait for the DVD.

I have to say, the new Avenger's trailer looks pretty sweet. At least I think so.... Definitely looking forward to seeing this one.

(Where'd all of the movie people go? )
I'm not totally sure what to make of the new Avengers movie, it looks really big and cool, and I'm a sucker for a good superhero movie.
But what I find really annoying is the way they always have to force tension between the the characters where it's totally unnecessary and just detracts from both the heroes and the story.
And how exactly did Thor's little brother get alien spaceship?
Still gonna see it but I'm not getting my hopes too high, that almost always leads to disappointment and if it's really good I'll be pleasantly surprised.
We don't know yet where Loki got his army, current fandom speculation is the fire demons of Muspelheim. We know for sure they aren't the Skrull, since apparently they're tied to the Fantastic Four movie rights. Doesn't look like the Kree or the Shi'ar, so most people are assuming it's one of the races from another of the Nine Realms, thus the fire demons speculation. Consensus is (and what I assumed the first time I watched the trailer) that the giant metallic snake is probably the Midgard Serpent, though there's still the possibility that it is Fin Fang Foom. I really, really hope it's not Fin Fang Foom.
I don't particularly have a problem with the tension between the characters. Marvel always has favored a more realistic take on characters, thus lots of personality conflicts, and there's no way that range of personalities would instantly mesh into a cohesive unit.
aragorn2,
I agree with Bookwyrm, personalities often clash. It only makes sense that this group of people would have their differences. As for Loki, I can only assume it'd be explained in the movie. I'm very much looking forward to the movie.
Yeah, just saw the latest Avengers trailer on Wednesday, looks fantastic! I'm getting super excited.
Anyone here seen the Lorax yet? I'd be interested in hearing anyone's opinion.
I wasn't really interested in Avengers at first, but the trailers do look pretty darned cool. I haven't seen Thor or either of the Hulk movies, but i've seen and liked both Iron Man, Iron Man 2 and Captain America; and i'm going to see Thor shortly, so. There's that.
While i do find forced conflicts uninteresting (*cough* Peter vs. Caspian *cough*), it seems very natural in this particular case; considering that Cap is 70 years out of date, Thor is an alien, Tony Stark is ... Tony Stark, and Bruce has "temper issues".

I can understand a few disagreements here and there, but in the trailer and the teaser there is a huge fight going on between Thor, Iron Man and
Cap. America. It might not be as bad as it looks in the trailer but they really don't need to be fighting each other while the fate of the world is at stake.
That is unrealistic.
I'm assuming that the scene with Thor, Cap, and Iron Man fighting is when Thor first shows up again on Earth, and there's a case of mistaken identity. Slightly overused plot device, yes, but I doubt it's anything to be too worried about.
I've been wondering where the alien spaceships came from too. Bookwyrm, I've never heard of the demons of Muspelheim or Fin Fang Foom. Could you explain?
