Agreed, I think Taylor Swift is a very good singer. I guess I'm just a bit concerned about the acting side of things.

(I don't care how often people call it Star Trek 2, I refuse to use that name).

How 'bout "Star Trek 12," it's the 12th one anyway :P

I'm still trying to figure out what is going on with Jurassic Park IV... Last I heard they were "talking about a script" but one hadn't actually been written yet.

I actually thought the first one was more boring than the other two... (though boring isn't exactly what it is, I love it, but if I was given the choice I'd probably pick TLW or JPIII.) Of course granted the first one was made a year after I was born and the last one came out in 2001. That's an 8 yr difference! Which allowed for the camera work to improve, as well as the CGI (somebody really needs to add this word to spell-check) and the animatronics. And, yes, I can tell the difference ;))

I just hope they come up with a good plot line... I heard another interview that scared me a little... And it's not aliens that I'm worried about :| :-s

Oh, and Les Mis fans? Taylor Swift is going to be Eponine.

Hmm, interesting. I guess they're just wanting star power (which Taylor certainly has) to attract legions of pre-teen and teenage girls. I saw Taylor in Valentine's Day and while not the best actress out there, I have seen much much worse.

Also Taylor's role in Valentine's Day didn't really require a lot of acting. I mean, she was pretty much just playing a ditzy version of herself. So yeah, we'll see . . .

Tintin. The first was great. We've known IMDb had a page for the 3rd installment, (which now has a year release of 2015). I finally saw a page for part 2.
I don't know if it's been mentioned before. I saw it today doing a search, and am happy to see it listed already, with a name no less:

The Adventures of Tintin: Prisoners of the Sun

It has a year release date of 2013.

Is IMDB really that reliable? They had a page for "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair" for a while. :P

And a page for JPIV for even longer....

IMBD I really don't trust for unreleased movies

IMDb actually still has a page for Narnia:TSC.
It had JP4 too, because it was being made. When canceled they removed it. Now it's back up since it's back in development.

IMDb isn't the most credible always, but it is a good guide. The Tintin page is new, and we know for sure that 3 were always planned. I trust it. :)

From Wikipedia, (I know, also not always reliable):

Depending on the film's success, two more Tintin movies could be produced. The first of these was originally planned to be based on The Seven Crystal Balls and Prisoners of the Sun,[97] however screenwriter Anthony Horowitz has since called this into question, suggesting these films would be the second sequel and another story would become the first sequel.[98] Peter Jackson also confirmed he will direct it once he has finished The Hobbit.[97] In December 2011, Spielberg confirmed a sequel to his 3D movie will be made and said the book to adapt had been chosen.[99] He explained the Thompson detectives will "have a much bigger role". This movie will this time be produced by Spielberg and directed by Jackson.[99] Kathleen Kennedy said the script might be done by February or March 2012 and motion-captured in summer 2012, so that the movie will be on track to be released on either Christmas 2014 or summer 2015

RE: Taylor Swift in "Lss Mis":

I really don't have an opinion on this, either good or bad. I personally like her and her music, though I guess the acting bit might cause some concern. :|

Now with that out of the way..... Ridley Scott's Promotheus finally got a trailer about a month ago!! :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIPlqEcfyhg

If this is not a prequel to the classic Alien (1979), then I'll be very ticked off at 20th Century Fox and Mr. Scott. X(
Anyway, the trailer looks REALLY atmospheric and creepy. :D Here's hoping the movie will actually be good.

(Alien fans, look quick for the Space Jokey and the eggs. ;) )

Avvie by the great Djaq!

I saw an interview on Jay Leno with Gerard Butler about his role in this upcoming movie:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1629757/
it looks like it could be good, but I'm taking it with a grain of salt for now since Gerard Butler has very few movies that he's been in that are clean. but it's based on a true story and will be released by Walden Media, so it looks like it could be good :)

The Phantom Menace is being rereleased in 3D on Feb 10! :D :D
Though it's far from the best in the series it's still pretty good.. Besides it's got the best lightsaber fight in the series, and the podrace is probably gonna be awesome in 3D. I can't wait to see it!

Newest Hunger Games trailer - i think it's supposed to be showing during the Superbowl:

Spoiler
Personally, i'm not really disappointed about the change in the origin of the mockingjay pin. Madge had her value as a secondary character, but not enough to justify putting her in the movie. But the pin should still have some symbolic source, so it having been a gift from her sister seems like the natural choice.

I saw this while perusing youtube the other day. I think it's actually a promo for a parody book of the Hunger Games but since it matches the trailer for HG so well I figured I'd link it in here for a good laugh.
