So my list of movies I want to go see that are coming out in the next year or so.
Brave.
The Hobbit.
Tintin.
And now - The Hunger Games. Because that trailer looks AMAZING. xD Has it been rated yet?
And I admit, Snow White and the Huntsman looks pretty cool, though I probably won't see it.

I loved the trailer! I am getting really excited for the movie. I'll be here at college in March so I may get to see it in theatres. :D

Loved the Hunger Games trailer!!! There were some nit-picky odd moments for me at first, but overall I just kinda forgot about it. My highlights were the three finger salute, Peeta's quote, and just the timing and editing of the whole trailer of what they did and didn't show :D Can't wait!

The best part of the trailer for me was the end of it. 5.4.3.2.1 *RUN!*

Yes, I liked that part! Also, that dress Katniss wore in that one shot was beautiful! I wish it was almost a little more orange to convey the whole flames idea but I can see why they didn't do that. That red-orange is such a beautiful shade!

Re: THG trailer - I didn't care much for the book series, and I have no intention of seeing the movies, but I have to admit I thought the trailer looked pretty good. The highlights were the three fingered salute, the reaping, Katniss in the red dress and the teeny-tiny glimpse of Katniss' flame dress, the shots of Katniss in the launch room and the countdown at the end.

A few thoughts...

The reaping looks appropriately heartrending, so kudos to them for pulling that off. The capitol scenes/characters look pretty good; thankfully not as outlandish as I've imagined. ;)) I still can't quite picture Cinna being African-American, though; I can't remember who it was who said that they pictured him looking like Ben Barnes, but I have to agree with that. ;))
As for the tributes, I'm guessing that was probably Cato we saw doing all of the impressive fighting? He looks well cast. Rue looks perfectly adorable for the part. And I liked the quick glimpse of Thresh at the end.
The countdown at the end was appropriately chilling, the shots of Katniss in the Launch Room and entering the arena were excellent (The line "I can't let my fear show" came to mind), and as horrible as the opening fight of the Games is those shots looked great as well.

Peeta looked fine, I guess. They got his line right, anyways.

Spoiler
Looks like they may have decided to actually show Katniss and Gale's 'encounter' (not the word I'm looking for, but the only one that's coming to mind) with the red headed avox (I think that's what they were called?) near the beginning of the film. Seems like a good idea to me; what do the actual book fans think?

I think its probably a good idea. IDK, I could go either way because while it is an important scene, it was on a list of things that I thought might be cut from the movie (like, say Madge) and would slightly, with a little bit of time, be ok with.

And then I see today that David Yates is planning on making a Doctor Who reboot movie :-o I mean, there's no script or cast/production yet but if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I didn't know that! Yea, I can't picture it either. I didn't imagine him looking like Ben. I imagined him being tall, rather lanky and skinny, not at all muscular, with very pale skin and blonde hair. Kind of nerdy looking. I actually didn't imagine him to be all that good looking although he must have been based on the books and everything that happened with him. I imagined him looking like a creeper. Big eyes, talking quietly, standing slightly hunched over, and just creepy. The kind of guy who you turn around and find he's just been standing there staring at you for five minutes. :p

Hunger Games trailer -

Wow, i am impressed. Can't comment too much in detail, but i am very pleased with how it looks so far.

Spoiler
About showing the Avox girl - could work, if that's what they're actually doing.

I don't think it's been rated yet, Elanor, but the producers have always said they're aiming for PG-13.

The Hunger Games trailer looks amazing, by the way. :-o I still think Effie looks a bit silly, though. ;)) 8-|

If I remember correctly, wasn't she supposed to?

I suppose so, I thought that Effie didn't look silly enough... Maybe it was the lighting, but her hair wasn't as pink as I expected. The whole capitol actually wasn't as frivolous as imagined... not sure if that's good or bad ;))

I think that's the first time in a long while that I've seen a trailer that actually conveys the story of the movie in a clear and concise way. Especially surprising given the genre Hunger Games belongs to. Most scifi movies these days just have a long string of explosions, gun fights, and people punching each other as their trailers.

The Hunger Games looks good!
I've never read the books, but have heard a bunch of people here on NarniaWeb mention them.
I really hope for all you fans of the book that it is a good adaption!
I defiantly think I'll see it when it hits theaters! :)

Snow White and the Huntsman, looks better then what I first thought!
Really love the look and feeling of it!
Out of the two I always had more of an interest in this Snow White, now I'm really interested! :)
I don't really care to see Mirror, Mirror (the other snow white), I don't know why.
