I have to tell ya, until I came to NWeb a few years ago I had never heard of Tintin. I'd heard of Rin Tin Tin, who's an old crime solving German Shepherd. ;)) The only movie on my radar right now is The Avengers movie next year. I have heard they're filming a World War Z movie based on the book by Max Brooks, the same guy who wrote The Zombie Survival Handbook (one of my favorites ;))). Brad Pitt is supposed to play in a lead role. That's all I know at this point.

You don't want to see The Hobbit? Or The Dark Knight Rises? *is aghast* ;))

Ok, well the Hobbit yes.....I liked the last two Batman movies but they didn't talk to me. If family or friends are going I'll tag along but not going to go out of my way to see it. ;)) Ahh, totally skipped over the Hunger Games too ;)). I do wish to see this one very much as well. :)

My list of movies that I'm looking forward to is remarkably short. Things can change, to be sure, but as of right now....

2011
......

2012
The Avengers
Brave (the first Pixar movie I've looked forward to in about 3 years)
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

2013
The Hobbit: There and Back Again

There are others that have piqued my interest but at this point in time I have no intention of seeing them in the theater and shall simply wait for the DVD. ;)

Um, question. Has Star Trek 2 even been confirmed for 2012? I know that's what IMDb says, but if you know me at all, you know how I feel about IMDb.... ;)

I found another movie that I'm now curious about. It's called War Horse about a boy and his horse.

Star Trek 2 was originally going to come out summer of 2012, but they were held up due to scheduling. They start filming in a month or two, so my guess (though it has not been confirmed) is that it will come out sometime at the end of next year. Hope that helps! :)
I also forgot about Brave! I really want to see that one too! :)

Cool, thanks 7chronicles. I fully admit I'm behind on pretty much all movie news right now so I haven't heard a thing about Star Trek 2.

Well, the Julia Roberts/Lily Collins 'Snow White' is piquing my interest more and more. Yahoo movies has 7 more pics from it....

And not only that, I stumbled across a team Kirsten Stewert/Charlize Theron 'Snow White' (which actually does have a title — Snow White and the Huntsman) blog but has a great write up comparing pictures from the two movies. ;)) It's about a third of the way down the page.

It's pretty clear that Snow White and the Huntsman is going for a dark, gritty look whereas the other Snow White movie is far more whimsical. I personally prefer the latter, but as always, the showdown between the two is what I'm really getting a kick out of. ;))

I really want to see the new Footloose. I've seen a couple trailers for it and it looks really good! I love dancing movies.

I've never seen the 1984 Footloose and I want to see that one too.

Anyone else see the trailer for The Raven?

I was only vaguely aware of the movie beforehand, but I'm liking the looks of it. And Edgar Allen Poe solving mysteries seems like such an obvious story idea.

Just a few days until the Avengers trailer premieres!

Never heard of it before but the title is very appropriate given Poe's work. He invented the detective genre too, didn't he? Then Sir Doyle borrowed heavily from his work to create Sherlock Holmes. Looks like a good movie but I'm not sold on the actor playing Poe.

Wasn't Robert Downey Jr. originally considered for the role?

@Booky Yeah, I'm really excited for The Avengers! :D I heard that some footage will also be shown at NYCC. (But I don't know for sure...)

O wow...that looks really...freaky. And I don't really need to watch all those weird stories come to life. No thanks...

Anyone interested in Puss In Boots? I thought he was pretty funny in Shrek

Also, does anyone have any information on if they're making an A Team 2 or a My Fair Lady remake?

I thought I heard something about a My Fair Lady remake, a long time ago, with Keira Knightley. That kind of scared me - but I'd be interested if anyone has news about that. :P

Bleargh, I'd hate to see My Fair Lady remade. I'd much rather someone make a Pygmalion movie, one that actually sticks to the end Shaw wrote.
