In perusing upcoming movie trailers I noticed one called Another Earth (opening July 22 in US). The trailer is here. William Mapother (Ethan Rom from LOST) stars.
Though the idea of a parallel earth in the solar system (usually 'hiding' on the other side of the sun) is a standard in science fiction, the truth is that we'd have found it by now, due to its gravitational interaction with the other planets. And the shots of the other earth in the trailer, though pretty, make it close enough to rip both it and this earth apart.
But from the trailer, this movie seems less about sci-fi and more about "what if you discovered another you out there?" So its emphasis on the human element might make it interesting.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Hmm, that sounds good actually! I'm a big sci-fi fan so I might take a look when its released...
Narnia is childhood...
Seriously, just give the kid the orange. He needs his vitamin C!
I just saw that Disney is greenlighting a movie based on another Disneyland ride: Matterhorn. Initial plot line reveals it will be about five adventure seekers that climb a mountain (named Matterhorn after the ride) and encounter Yetis along the way. Could be good, could be really bad. Don't know enough to make a judgement yet.

I saw the trailer last night for Brave and I agree that it looks very good and has great potential. I'll mostly see that when it comes out. The new Spy Kids looks good and cute too. I agree I'll probably see it because of the returing Spy kids who are now so grown up.
As for Monsters 2 I wish that movie is almost out. But yeah it will probably be 2013 or 2014 before we see that.
Another World looks like it might be a good movie. I can already tell that the obvious main character has a good story and great potential, I hope we do see this other world in the film. I'll be seeing that as well.
Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!
Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
Saw a trailer for the new Three Musketeers coming out in October with Logan Leerman (Hoot and Percy Jackson: The Lightnight Thief) as D'Artagnan, Milla Jojovich as Milady DeWinter, and Orlando Blood as the Duke of Buckingham. It appears to be a more 'modern' time period with technological advances beyond typical 1700's France, but I was initially impressed with the trailer, the looks and needless to say, the swordplay. Have added that to my see list.

Hahaha sorry this made me laugh. Orlando Blood.
I loved the Three Musketeers - the one they made in the 70's and also the book. I do hope this movie is as good if not better. Re-makes are hardly ever better than the ones before.

New Still from Tintin
ok, I watched the trailer for The Three Musketeers and it looks pretty cool, but I just can't get into Logan Lerman with long hair and a sword. to me he's still little Roy Eberhardt in "Hoot"
but the movie still looks good

Really looking forward to seeing this!
The Value of myth is that it takes all the things you know and restores to them the rich significance which has been hidden by the veil of familiarity. C.S. Lewis
Ahhhhh!!!!! that trailer was so much better than the first one!
It was nice to see some humor in there as well

As long as I can see it in 2D, I'm game for that. I was suprised to see the animation in style of Polar Express but I'm not opposed. That makes two movies on my fall to-see list. Tintin and Three Musketeers.

I just discovered some fantastic news! The first novel in the sci-fi/fantasy series, The DragonRiders of Pern, Dragonflight by Anne McCaffrey, is being adapted into film . This is the best news I've heard in a long time... of course this means I'd better keep reading these books At least I have read Dragonflight and it's absolutely wonderful, so they'd better adapt it faithfully!

Yes, the new Tintin trailer is brilliant. It's better than the first one because it's longer, shows more and provides context. I cannot wait!
