Fili has been recast and Thranduil!!!! :D
Very Happy with Thranduil!

And Hugo Weaving (Elrond) has been on The Hobbit set! It is still unconfirmed if Hugo Weaving will be returning as Elrond, but I'm hoping that is the reason he is on set. :)

Here are both the links:

I sure hope Hugo Weaving is Elrond! Elrond wouldn't be Elrond without him! :D

I just heard a wild rumor out there that there will be a Zorro Reboot, but instead of the typical early 1800's setting in California, this new one will take place in an post-apocolyptic world. No real details about story line or cast is revealed yet. I'm a bit skeptical about this until I hear more.

Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.

Does anyone know anything about that chick-flick Bridesmaids that's coming out in a couppla weeks? My friends want to see it, but I'm still not completely sold on the movie

Then that is not Zorro! :))

As for 'Bridesmaids': "The story is of two best friends, Lillian and Annie. When Annie finds out about Lilian's engagement, she is asked to be the maid of honor. She accepts and is happy until she finds out about all the things the maid of honor has to do. All hell breaks loose when they travel to Vegas for the party that none of them will forget." - from Wikipedia

That's pretty much what I am thinking too. Same plot as Mask of Zorro put in a Book of Eli context....sounds fishy to me. I'd see it for the sword play but I'm wincing at this concept. But that being said, I do have ideas for a novel that puts a Zorro plot in the modern day. I'd do what I can to be loyal to the original sources but that would likely make a better Zorro movie than an apocolyptic one.

Why is it that movie makers have not been able to release much of anything original lately? The most recent movie I can think of (from a major producer) that wasn't a sequel, reboot, or adaptation was SecondHand Lions. (I'm not sure where to put Avatar in that list but that belongs in Past Movies). But that being said, an original one coming out soon is one I've heard all should see: Courageous. It's by the same people that have done Flywheel, Fireproff, and Facing the Giants. And interestingly enough, I've actually heard that some major companies are approaching them and asking them what is making thier movies so sucessful. I'd say a lot of it has to do with the fact that they are clean movies, plus the Christian aspects. I want to see more from them.

*Says nothing about many Christians being okay with watching badly-made movies because "they're clean!" and "Christian."* Ah, yes.

Fencer, what about Inception? There are other recent original movies too like Rango, Source Code, Hanna, Sucker Punch.

Currently watching:
Doctor Who - Season 11

I actually haven't seen any of those, so I can't comment. But that is for the present movie and past movie threads.

I posted this in THG SF but there have been a lot of casting for other random tributes who get killed off quickly and Seneca Crane (the head gamemaker)...

So I saw the trailer for this movie,Colombiana, on imdb and it looks kinda interesting... reminds me of Salt or something but I noticed that the girl who plays the younger version of Saldana is going to be Rue in THG... cool coink-a-dink :)

Thanks for the Bridesmaids summary mm, still not completely on board with it, but we'll see how it goes

it's really annoying because I can't find much information on the upcoming movie "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island"! I know only a little about it, but I can't find an official web site. I tried looking on the site for Journey To The Center Of The Earth (the movie before this one) but it's pretty dead.
does anyone have anything on it?
and I can't find an official facebook page or release date either.....

Cool thanks for the link! I haven't read the books so I wonder how the movie is going to be like. I plan to read the books before I see the movie.

Hmmm I would have never guessed or pictured Stanley Tucci as Ceaser, but I liked him in 'Devil Wears Prada' and 'Easy A' so I guess he could work

I got to go on another movie set this past weekend. It was a closed set and was filming in my neighborhood, on my street and i was very lucky that Im friends with the people who live in the house where the movie was being filmed at.

The movie is called Re-Kill and some scenes were being reshot. The movie comes out this summer and what I saw from the shooting was very impressive and I will be seeing it.

At the moment I'm trying to apply for a job to work on The Dark Knight Rises when it comes to new orleans to film.
