Ooh, I remember Prisoner of the Sun! That was the one where they were kidnapped by Aztecs or something, and were about to be burned at the stake but Tintin figured out that there was going to be a solar eclipse on that day so he pretended to be a god so they'd let them go. Something like that! One of the better stories, as I recall.
Egad, it's been SO LONG since I read Tintin. I should check and see if our library has them...
So it looks like Disney is trying to make a "Miss Marple" movie, starring Jennifer Garner.
Wow. I can hardly think of any casting that seems less Miss Marple-y. It's true that Hercule is just a better character and detective overall, but the point of Miss Marple is that she's an old lady so she can go places others can't and ask questions others can't because no one suspects her of mystery solving prowess.
Gymfan, that's the one. Prisoners of the Sun involves Incas though, not Aztecs.
Kate, that's true and very much the appeal of Miss Marple (for those who like her).

I saw that blog of The Hobbit this afternoon, I was unexpectedly emotional with it. Loved it. Can't wait for the movie.
Rue and Thresh have been cast in "The Hunger Games".
Seeing as they're both newcomers, i can't really make any comments on how they'll do in the roles, but the photos in the article look promising enough.

they look perfect!!! Exactly how I pictured Rue, so excited!!!
its so exciting to start to see all of the casting
NW twin to Georgiefan! NW sib to 22!
avvie by AslansChild thank you!!!
Rue looks so lovely, I hope she does a good job.
They've also cast Effie Trinket. Elizabeth Banks will play her. Banks was one of the main candidates that fans had for Effie, so this is a casting fans will be sure to like.
This is a neat graphic made to keep track of the tributes as they are cast.
Glimmer and Marvel were also cast- Jack Quaid and Leven Rambin.
you can see pictures in the link Kate, provided above

Jack Quaid is apparently the son of Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan, so he comes from good acting stock. He looks a bit, well, soft for Marvel, remember Marvel is the one who kills
Leven Rambin looks fine.
So far I'm liking the more minor castings for THG. (Rue - Amandla - is really sweet) I'm about the three leads.
I do hope Marvel works out before filming...
Is anyone else interested in the movie War Horse? I'm not sure that the story isn't very cliche, but it looks like the visuals will be stunning. And I like the plot, even if it is cliche.

Ooh! Prim. really?! *Goes off to look*
Hmm. I'm not sure about this one. She does look like a Prim, I'm just thinking she's not as adorable as our Prim should be. Maybe when she looks less serious...
