Wisewoman, I apologise. Thank you that makes sense. I wasn't trying to pick a fight with anyone but I guess in my frustration I didn't word it as politely as I could have.
One thing I'm wondering though - how do non-Americans known when a movie is a past, current or future movie in the US? Sometimes it's rather obvious but not always. Thanks for your understanding.

No worries, mate . If there's any doubt about a release date, the best thing I can recommend is checking imdb.com. Or you can ask in-thread and I'm sure someone can give you the info.
Or maybe we should just lobby the film industry to release movies at the same time around the world!
I saw the trailer for Apollo 18 yesterday and thought it looked very creepy. Not really my thing, but they do have an interesting premise...

Apollo 18 description, from Wiki:
A found footage-style film about a fictional post-Apollo 17 mission to the Moon that takes on a premise of why we never went back. The plot involves a government coverup of the Apollo 18 mission after aliens on the Moon discovered the crew and began to kill them off one by one.
That's...weird. Killing the crew off "one by one"? Uh...there's only 2 on the lander and one in orbit...and they're not armed or anything. If one wants to try for something along these lines why not go the route of Lifeforce (with the British space shuttle Churchill...which rocked) or something?

I have expressed my interest in Tintin. I loved reading the comics as a kid, but it's been years. I am worried about the movie because the extreme lack of willingness of a producer to stay close to the source. I still think LOTR overall (and LWW movie) did the best in staying as close to the source material. There's a lot of others I've heard about (because I've seen the movie and not read the source) where the adaptation simply keeps the general plot and little else. So we'll see about Tintin.
People are starting to ask me when the movie for my book is coming out. I could see Lion'sGate (I think that's the one that has done Flywheel, Fireproof, and Facing the Giants) possibly picking it up after word starts to get out about it. If it ever comes to that, I will be on the producing crew to make sure they don't mess with my source material. But thinking LONG down the road and still dreaming. If it happens great. If not, no big deal.
Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.

Fencer, as you can imagine, I've been keeping my ear to the ground for quite some time and I've heard no such thing in relation to Tintin. Spielberg and Jackson are huge fans. Jackson since he was a boy and Spielberg since he was an adult in his 30's. Moulinsart are overseeing the whole operation, making sure it stays true to Herge's creation. Taking some moments from Crab doesn't mean that they won't do a good job of adapting Secret and Rackham into the mix. It's too early to say but I think we're in good hands.

Christ is King.
SnowAngel, thanks for the trailer!
I loved Facing the Giants, Flywheel was ok, Fireproof was great. This looks amazing! I will be seeing it now on opening weekend. I thought a rental would do, but this trailer has pushed it up.
SnowAngel: ooh I saw that this morning! that movie is gonna be so epic!
I hope to see it next month - there's a slight chance of that if my hunch is true.....

I haven't seen Flywheel, I thought Facing the Giants was very mediocre (except for that one death crawl scene), Fireproof was mildly okay. This movie Courageous looks like a step up in quality. It looks good and the topic is dear to my heart - the importance of dads in their children's lives. Awesome. I hope the movie lives up to what the trailer promises.

So I stumbled across this trailer in my Twitter feed yesterday. I'd not heard of it before, but it looks like it might be fun. It's certainly got a great cast.
I am looking forward to Courageous! I looked for the trailer yesterday so I guess I caught it just after it went up! Yeah, Alex Kendrick is back!!
I also can't wait for Hobbit and any future Narnia films.
Monster Inc 2 sounds interesting...

As for the Hunger Games . . .
Yesterday, there was a rumor flying around that Jennifer Lawrence had been offered the Katniss role-but now Lionsgate claims it's false.
Lionsgate seems to claim every bit of good news we have is false.
You know, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if this rumor was true, but Lionsgate doesn't want us to know yet, so they claim it's false. I mean, with the movie coming out next year, I'm sure they're much further along then they're letting us know.
*sigh* this is taking too long!
Personally, i'm not sold on the idea of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss; she's just a little too old for my tastes. It could work, of course, and the other actresses suggested are a little on the young side. I guess I'm not really rooting for anyone at this point.
That Courageous trailer looks decent. I haven't seen Flywheel and didn't really like Facing the Giants, but Fireproof was okay. I won't plan on seeing it in theaters - we rarely go to see any movie in theaters anyway - but probably will watch it eventually.
Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world’s grief. Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it. - Rabbi Tarfon
Well, Jennifer is still being reported as the front runner
And I'm really happy about that. A lot of the fandom seems upset by this-but there's something about Jennifer's acting that I think will make a great Katniss. And I think that's her ability to act subtle. In the books, we're so in Katniss' head that it's easy to forget that she has really has very little dialogue. So whoever plays her will need to be able to show lot of emotions and thoughts without speaking, and I think Jennifer can do that.
