The thing is, Kyle got turned into a non conventional way of handsome. He was clean looking and now looks like some punk rocker. Besides, Van is good for the part because she has a quiet air to her when she plays the quiet girl. If they had Bella Thorne play her, it would be crazy. Though Bella would make a good Jill Pole, but that's another discussion. I really do like the message the movie is trying to convey and think I probably should see it because I could get something out of it. It looks so well written.

my opinion on Beastly- read the book!

I got the book after seeing the trailer- and there are some definitate similiarities I see just from the trailer. In the book he actually looks like a beast- not some random tattoos and going bald.

I will see the full movie to compare the two but I have a feeling the book will be better(they always are)

Ok so someone (I forget who exactly, but it wasn't me) just asked a very good question on the chat. "Who should play CS Lewis in CS Lewis: The Movie?"

They're making a second Percy Jackson movie

D: When i saw this I started yelling at my computer screen about how the first one was mutilated enough and they should stay away from the Sea of Monsters :-s

Good news, though-Columbus will not be directing.

I love the Percy Jackson books, but the movie changed far to much for my liking.

I'll probably see this one anyway, but expect some ranting :p

I'm very neutral about Percy Jackson, I thought the first book was great- but I disliked the movie very much! Didn't do the book justice.

I moved to the second book. It was good at first, but then I just lost interest. I won't be seeing the movie.

You should keep reading, narnian1! The books get darker around the 3rd book and the last book is amazing. :D Like HP, the first books are a little childish or more for kiddies and they mature as they go.

EtJ, you obviously haven't read the books if you liked that atrocious PJatO movie. :P

They butchered that adaptation so badly . . . I don't see how they can even make a second one . . . They left no underlying plot in the first one, so there's nothing to carry over to a second one.

With Kronos cut out of the first movie, I don't see how their going to do SOM properly. They'll be nothing to connect it to the first movie, with Luke apparently dead. It will be butchered. :|

Latest Hunger Games movie news- The frontrunners have been announced!

If she dyes her hair dark, I'm all in favor of Jennifer. She's an amazing actress. I don't want Haliee for a number of reasons.
1-If their aiming to release the movie next year, I don't see how they can film in in time with Haliee. She can only be on set for 8 hours a day due to child labor laws, and 3 hours of that has to be devoted to tutoring. So she could only film 5 hours a day.
2-The books take place over about a year, but Haliee is still growing quickly. If they make all three movies, her appearance will change too much between them.
3-As the article pointed out, that would severely limit their choices for Peeta. I haven't found anyone close to Haliee's age that would make a good Peeta.
4-I don't really want to watch 14 year olds doing all that kissing [-(

And don't get me started on Abigail. She looks 12 years old [-(

I'd likely go see another Percy Jackson movie. I thought the first one was all right (I haven't read the books) but understand it was a poor adaption.

I saw a longer "making of" trailer for Cowboys and Aliens in front of The King's Speech this weekend. I admit that I'm curious about it, and may go see it (especially since my cinema has comparatively inexpensive matinees).

On the one hand the concept seems a bit silly, but on the other, why can't aliens visit the Old West rather than a modern setting? ;) Like one of the people making it said, "This way you get all the cool Western stuff and splashy alien special effects" (paraphrased).

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

Brisa, thanks for the Hunger Games news!!! I am so excited for this movie! the books are awesome!!

I like Hailee- I would like to keep Katniss in the age range in the book- and I think she could handle the character nicely.
Abigail is a great actress but I feel she looks to young for the part

I care the most probabally about Peeta- because he is my favorite character- cant wait for more news!

Oh, such exciting Hunger Games news!!

You know, I'd been all for Hailee before, and while I think she is a superb actress, having seen Jennifer act now (in Winter's Bone), I actually think she would suit the role better. I think Hailee looks a bit too young, too "Adorable" or something...Jennifer can do that hardness that the role will require. In both True Grit and Winter's Bone, the girls' breakout roles, both their characters are independent, fighting for something they care about, and fending for themselves. And looking at how they came across in those roles, I think Jennifer would be a better choice. I don't think she's too old looking--she can definetly be aged "down" first the first movie, say. The more I think about it, the more I would absolutley LOVE for her to be Katniss :D :D :D

I watched some clips from Winter's Bone, and I think Jennifer would be perfect.
In addition to the points I mentioned above, something about Haliee's appearance just doesn't click for me. Her face is just too round and sweet, I guess.

EDIT

And after we got all excited, Lionsgate has apparently said that their aren't any frontrunners X(
Hurry up, movie people! [-(
Some of the names in that article . . . I mean, Chloë Moretz? Emma Roberts? Seriously?
