On Miss Seyfried: Haven't really seen her in anything, thinks she's attractive and is willing to her a shot in a period horror film.
@ Ryan. Very true. I was forgetting she directed The Nativity Story.... I try not to base my pre-opinions on directors histories. Sometimes bad directors make a good film and some great ones have a bad day ( or two. Or three. or....)
As long as their is no graphic gore or *ahem* "love scenes", I'll be interested in seeing it sometime. If there is... well, there is always the soundtrack to look forward too.

-Jurassic Park 4 (if it ever gets made)
It's crazy how many rumors have been around about that! I eventually stopped trying to dig for info on it because I didn't know what to believe. If it's like the first two, I'd enjoy it (my favorite movies as a kid!). But JP3 was really quite bad.
I'm looking forward to POTC 4 this year, nothing could top the first one IMO but still it has potential!

I think the first is excellent. I hated the second, but really enjoyed the third. That said, IMDb used to have a page for JP4 but deleted it just over a year ago or so. With that, I heard it was canceled and shelved. But who knows, they might pick it up again some day.
Well most recent rumour is that Joe Johnston is going to start working with Steven Spielberg on it after Captian America. Frankly I loved all three so as long as they don't go with a certain supposedly canceled idea *shudders at the concept art* I will be happy
Of course someone pulled a pretty nasty prank... and made/took a photo that seemed to prove that it was being filmed a few weeks ago... Alas it was false I really hope they get going on it soon... I've been waiting for 10 years
I really hope they continue with the raptor intelligence plotline (though they don't need to over do it!) That was the best part of JP3. And maybe something with the pteranodons would be cool... since they got out.

I Love Jurassic Park! I grew up watching those!
My favorite is the first one and like narnian1 I enjoyed the third one also, I do not really care for the second one (but the T-Rexes in that one are Awesome!)
There are some set photo's from the Hobbit online, I personally think they are part of the Lonely Mountain.
I Can't wait to start getting pictures of the cast on set in costume!

The Value of myth is that it takes all the things you know and restores to them the rich significance which has been hidden by the veil of familiarity. C.S. Lewis
-Soul Surfer
-Courageous
I'm looking forward to those two as well! My youth group showed a short documentary film on Bethany Hamilton a year or so ago. It was called Heart of a Soul Surfer and was pretty good.
I've loved all the other Sherwood pictures except for Flywheel. I hope Courageous is as good as Fireproof was.
Neat find 7chonicles! I so cannot wait for The hobbit to come out!

Is anyone going to see Beastly with Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfyer? I really want to. It seems good. What do you all think?

^^ Beastly might be good, but I have my doubts. It looks kind of like another shallow teen movie.
There's this really cliche plotline I've seen in way too many movies, where there's this handsome popular jerk, and an unpopular shy girl who likes him; but he doesn't notice her because they're in such different social circles. Then something bad happens that throws him into her world, and they end up falling in love because "she loved him for the real him inside". It's been so over done.
There have been so many romantic comedies, made-for-TV movies, romance novels, etc. that all have this exact same plotline. And filmmakers seem to think that because it's worked so many times in the past, that it will keep working again and again and again. I mean, perhaps it was fresh in, say, Jane Austen's day, but now it's just been done to death.
It's a shame too. I think a Beauty and the Beast story might have been really great if it had been done right. Perhaps, if it had given a more classic touch. But the thing that really ruins movies, in my opinion, is when they try to modernize everything. And not just modernize it, but also try to make it appeal to the high-school Twilight crowd. It seems all the movies are becoming nothing more than Twilight knock-offs. Beastly, Little Red Riding Hood, etc. Even the books are going "Jane Austen and Vampires".
Anyway, now that I've finished my little rant ( ), I have to comment on the latest Hobbit news. I also think that the newly released pictures are of inside the Lonely Mountain. Especially because of the pillars and hallways that seem to be there.
A question for those who were into LOTR back when the LOTR movies were being made -- you've been through all of this before; so... how long do you think it will be before we start seeing spy-cam pics of the cast in costume?

I agree Ithy, but the one thing that bugs me the most about Beastly, is that he doesn't look so beastly... beast maybe as a sterotypical teen saying "woah, how did you get those tatoos and metal on your face, that's beastly!" but not in a repulsive way of interperting 'beastly'
Sadly I wasn't a fan of LotR when they were in production, so I'm really excited to see all the spy stuff that'll come as Hobbit filming progresses

Yeah, that's true! I had noticed that too. He is still very handsome as a "beast". Maybe even a little more so because it gives him an edgier, more mysterious look. Most of the people I know in real life would like him more for looking that way.
I was agreeing with Vanessa Hudgen's character when she said she had "seen worse".

Ditto on the not beastly enough thing! Another thing that bugs me about that movie is that Lindy is supposed to be plain--not ugly, but not like really extravagant looks. I think Vanessa Hudgens is a little too glamour-ish for the part, even if she's not wearing tons of makeup or anything...

Especially since she's considered one of the prettiest girls in the teen scene, and replaced Britney as some company's cover girl.
It seems all the "plain janes" in movies are played by the prettiest actresses. How are they supposed to be relatable then to the girls who actually feel plain? It's like Selena Gomez in Another Cinderella Story. Prettiest girl in the movie playing Cinderella.
