I Am Number Four seems to me like some strange amalgamation of X-Men, The Prisoner (original series) and Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None.

Doctor Who - Season 11
I Am Number 4 does look pretty amazing but it does remind me of one of those rip off films that recycle material in other films for the particular audiences who sees this genre. I'll probably watch it when it comes out on DVD.

I Am Number Four looks rather.... bland. Sorry, just looks like something you would find on TV just with a bigger budget.
Did anyone else notice that the trailer felt a tad like the trailer for Watchmen??
In other film news:
I'm somewhat looking forward to the film Red Riding Hood. Mostly interested in what the werewolf will look like, what the twist will be and what the score will sound like.
The film looks somewhat promising with a Gothic-like feeling and a cast that includes Gary Oldman, Julie Christie and Amanda Seyfried. Though it also looks like a dumb teen-romance film with a bit of horror thrown in.
Here's hoping it's at least better than Twilight!

PrinceCor004, I'm just worried because Red Riding Hood has the same director from the first Twilight movie...
I got the book Red Riding Hood that the movie is based on- I'm really excited to read it

I just can't decide about Red Riding Hood.
Pros: like PC said, I love the gothic look to it. Also, LRRH is one of my favorite fairy tales--I love that they've making it "adult" and all. And it just looks amazingly beautiful.
Cons. I'm not a big fan of Amanda Seyfried. Also, the director did Twilight. Also, it might turn out to just be a silly love-triangle thing with a very wimpy twist.
I really, really hope the wolf isn't either of the guys involved with the character of Red. That would be pretty cheesy. I would be extremely impressed if the wolf ended up being
Not really sure why I put that in spoilers, but oh well.

Yes, I agree about the beauty of it! The sets just sucked me in. The costumes look good, as well, and certain of the shots in the trailer are stunning. So I have been following the movie a bit since I saw the trailer.
I do think there might be a little too much romance/older content in it for me, personally. And as Valiant_Lucy says, if the wolf is one of the guys, I would be totally put off.

I think Red Riding Hood looked good too, that was until I noticed it was directed by the first Twilight director. Hopefully it was just the rubbish source material and not the director's skill (or lack there of) that led to such a bad movie. I'm not the biggest fan of Amanda Seyfried but she's tolerable. Case in point: her character in Veronica Mars - Season 1 makes up a large part of the story and the struggles Veronica and others go through. I loved the series but I never warmed to Seyfried's character. I hate to say this but she pretty much deserved what came to her - she wasn't likeable in the least and seemed to be a horrible person. Nothing in the series led me to believe otherwise. Anyone else feel similar?

Warrior 4 Jesus,
Yes I didn't like Seyfried in Veronica Mars either. Totally see your point. I liked her in Mamma Mia though, even though the movie was just ok. I enjoyed her in Dear John and Letters to Juliet too.
I also enjoy Twilight
That said. I am looking forward to Red Riding Hood. However I am pretty sure I will wait until DVD.
Rumor is that Marion Cotillard from Inception, will be joining the Dark Knight Rises cast.
Speculation is that she may play Talia al Ghul, the daughter of Ra's al Ghul played by Liam Neeson in Batman Begins.

Wow. I was all for Marion Cotillard playing a villain in The Dark Knight Rises, but this is starting to look like overkill to me. But then her involvement and that of Joseph Gordon-Levitt are just rumors at this point. Probably about as accurate as the Eddie Murphy for the Riddler rumor.
Yeah, I didn't really care for Lilly either. I always assumed there was something good about her, since Veronica was typically a really good judge of character. They just never showed anything though. As for Red Riding Hood, Amanda Seyfreid and Gary Oldman look like the only ones who can act in the thing. It looks very artsy and creative, but the dialogue sounds cheesy. Definitely a check it out for free from the library movie.
Still following The Hunger Games movie adaption; still no cast announcements, though a lot of names getting thrown out there.
I'm dieing for casting announcements, but I think it's a safe bet they're waiting till the Oscars are over. *sigh*
The latest news is this
To be honest, I'm not sure what to think of that *shrug*
^ I will be seeing Red Riding Hood. The movies I've been anticipating to see this year is that, Beastly, POTC 4, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows finale, and Breaking Dawn part 1.
I'm not that huge of a Twilight fan but Breaking Dawn was filmed where I live and that's cool! Also Battle Los Angeles was too and I want to see it.

Just thought I should point out that Catherine Hardwicke (the director of Twilight) also directed The Nativity Story. Sooooooo, let's not judge her on the fact that she directed Twilight.
I'm also experiencing mixed feelings about Red Riding Hood though. For one thing, it looks a bit too horror-ish for me. But then so did The Village and I love that movie. So . . . we'll see.
Another movie I'm looking forward to is X-Men: First Class, basically because I'm a sucker for comic-book heroes.
P.S."Brooklyn!"
I'm a sucker for comic-book heroes too, but there seemed to be some questionable content in the trailer concerning a club Charles and Erik seemed to be at, so I'm tempted to go, "eeeeeeh..."
I just wish it was really good and awesome. Maybe it will be after all.

I really don't think they'd be allowed to have a strip club in a PG-13 movie.
