Transformers was mediocre at best. Transformers 2 was just terrible; however, the marketing for Transformers 3 is actually making interested in the franchise again. The first trailer was brilliant, and the action packed Super Bowl teaser actually looked pretty good I thought, and that's coming from someone who basically swore off the series after the travesty of the second film.

Really looking forward to Captain America. I didn't have high hopes for that one but the Super Bowl teaser really piqued my interest.

Transformers was ok, disliked first half but thought second half was really good. Transformers 2 was just horrible beyond anything I had seen, up to that point. I lost all interest in the franchise. Just a while ago I saw an interesting clip of the first moon landing and was interested, in a historical movie- only to have it turn out to be Transformers 3 and I lost all interest as soon as I recognized it. I haven't liked any of the other trailers/spots I've seen. :|

Looking forward to Captain America though :) Thor on the other hand I am skeptical about, but a rental is definitely in.

Transformers I would like to see but I need to see the 2nd one first :p

Captain America...I am very tired of comic book characters being turned into movies, I'm not excited for it

I really want to see Soul Surfer! I love the story of Bethany Hamilton and I love Annasophia Robb who plays her! :D

So very much about such films depends on who is directing, the script, and who's playing the superhero role. Every now and then one will come out and will be wonderfully made and fun to watch (or rewatch), but there's a bunch of stinkbombs that get littered into the mix. The original Superman for instance is a great film...everything comes together nicely, and even though they diverge from the true plot at times the film is nicely done with an epic score. That's largely Richard Donner, but you also can't discount that Christopher Reeves was playing the role he was born to play too. The Raimi versions of Spiderman were really good, although I think the 1st one was best (and Tobey McGuire plays a great Spiderman/Peter Parker). Ironman was a great film, although I'll say that it's largely based upon Downey's performance. He's the charismatic hub the wheel revolves around, because if you take him out the film is actually kind of mediocre really. I love Iron Man 1 & 2 because Downey brings it to life.

I could bring up some others that were truly terrible, but you know which ones they are ;)).

Catwoman with Halle Berry was terrible. I saw that on T.V and it completely bored me.

My friend told me that they're making a Spiderman remake and that they're adding vampires in it too. Has anyone heard similar rumors?

Team Edward and Team Jacob are overrated. I'm Team Avatar!

I've not heard anything about vampires being in the Spider-Man reboot. The only villain I've heard was going to be in it was the Lizard. Though they might mean Morbius is going to be in it. Technically he isn't a vampire, but vampire-like.

I'm tired of comic book character movies too. Looks like Markus and McFeely wrote the Captain America script. Wonder how it'll do.

Being a huge Marvel Comics fan, I have enjoyed nearly all of the Superhero movies based on MC's properties. I'm definitely looking forward to Captain America (I like the clips I've seen), and I'm also looking forward to the Thor film coming out.

The best thing about the films of the last few years from Iron Man on, is that they are all leading up to The Avengers, which will bring together Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America and Thor (and possibly some others from the comics not yet mentioned).

What's annoyed me in years past is that different studios owned the rights to different MC Superheroes, so there was little chance of cross-overs as there are in Marvel Universe. As Marvel reacquires it's properties I'm looking forward to some team-ups...Like Spidey with The Avengers or Fantastic Four or X-men. Those were always some of the best team-ups in the comics, and it will be cool to see the expansion of the Marvel Universe on-screen.

As to Transformers, I think the first one was great, the second one...not so much 8-| . I have to say I think the trailer for the next Transformers looks much more promising than the last film.

EDIT: I agree with Shadowlander, Sam Raimi's Spiderman films rewrote the book on how to make superhero films. Before that, except for the first Christopher Reeve Superman, most superhero films were horrible. Of the previous Batman films the only one I really liked is the one with Val Kilmer and Jim Carrey. I think the rest were pretty sucky. :p

Way back when the new Spider-Man reboot was still "Spider-Man 4," with Sam Raimi, Tobey Maguire, and Co. still attached, there were rumors that Morbius might appear. No vampires in the reboot though. I'm really looking forward to the reboot, however. Marc Webb is a fantastic director and Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are two of the most talented young actors in Hollywood right now. Can't wait to see what they have in store.

Transformers 3: Huh, looks impressive. Finally a big war movie with giant robots!!! :p Looks like what I was hoping Terminator 4 was going to be like, just..... bigger and Michael Bay-ish. :p

Probably sit this one out as well, though it looks a tad more promising than number 2.... 8-|

Spider-Man reboot: Not familiar with the guy playing Peter, but I'm assuming miss Stone is playing Mary Jane? From what I've seen of her work, she's a great actress. Could be really good. :)

I'm avoiding all things Transformers. I never watched any of the series' growing up, and the Bay movies have not encouraged me to change a thing.

Still following The Hunger Games movie adaption; still no cast announcements, though a lot of names getting thrown out there.

Actually, she's playing Gwen Stacey.

One movie that I wouldn't mind seeing is The Eagle. It's coming out pretty soon I think. In grade school, I had to read the book entitled The Eagle of the Ninth. I don't think the movie is based on the book, they just happened to make a movie out of the same story. At the time I first read the book (I was in 6th or 7th grade), I hated it but going back and reading it when I was older in late high school, I liked it a lot better and I'd love to see the movie.

It's the story of a legion of Roman soldiers who just disappear along with their standard, a golden eagle. It's basically the story of the son of one of the legionaires who sets off to find the standard and bring honor back to their tribe. I think the father was maybe the head of that legion so his household was dishonored because of the father? I don't remember, it's been a year or two since I last read the book.

Anyway, it looks pretty good from the trailers I've seen.

Yes, The Hunger Games release date is March 23, 2012 and the director is Gary Ross. :)

Oh, goody! Another Eagle fan! :D When I found out about the movie I *squeeeeeeee*d. Since then, my excitement has abated somewhat, mostly because of the angsty issues between Marcus and Esca.
I still plan to see it, but it's too violent for me to see without a friend - and it's not in our local theater anyways. :( Maybe later. Hopefully it'll be action-y enough that my brother won't mind paying to see it with me. :p
