yes, a prequel would be more interesting- since they would still need scared for power. I can't imagine a full movie of gags for laughs for power. But gotta wait and see how true this is. If it is a prequel, Boo may just have a cameo near the end or something. :-

They'll probably throw Boo in, but obviously the monsters can;t see her, unless in their fear they don't see her face?

Haha, Boo is so cute! :)

*edit* Just realized, unless they flash forward...Boo's like, what, two? She won;t be born yet, I just realized! =))

I been seeing a lot of previews for the Season of the Witch with Nicholas Cage coming out this weekend. To me the previews tell me it's just like a medieval/colonial days version of Sorcerer's Apprentice. Not sure if I want to see it or not.

Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.

TheOneRing.net is reporting that Elijah Wood is set to reprise his role as Frodo in The Hobbit! :D
According to them, Frodo would be seen with Bilbo’s Red Book of Westmarch (which was seen in both the Fellowship of the Ring and the Return of the King) and would either be telling the story from it or reading of it, and would establish Frodo in the films experiencing Bilbo’s story. "Viewers are to learn the tale of ‘The Hobbit’ as a familiar Frodo gets the tale as well."

Orlando Bloom is not confirmed, but it is believed that he to will reprise his role as Legolas in The Hobbit! :D
I think it would be interesting to see both Gimli’s father Gloin and Legolas together. ;)

That's neat news about The Hobbit. Thanks, 7Chronicles, for letting us know!

New TV spots for The Eagle! I haven't had a chance to watch them yet :( , since I just found out and my family's about to go on a day trip. But I wanted to share with you all. Enjoy and post thoughts! I'll chime in with my feelings on these as soon as I can. :)

Comingsoon.net is reporting that that Ian Mckellen (Gandalf) and Andy Serkis (Gollum) have signed on for The Hobbit! :D
Although it was expected that they would, it has taken a long time for it to be confirmed.
Both Christopher Lee (Saruman) and Ian Holm (Bilbo) are expected to be signed as well, though these aren’t confirmed as of yet.

Here is the Link to Both Articles:

UPDATE: Ian Mckellen has updated his offical site and has stated that filming for the The Hobbit will begin on February 21 2011

Christopher Lee said back in 2008 that he would not be returning to film in New Zealand, but he would do the voice of Smaug if asked. :D
Another way for him to film I think, would be to bring the filming to him. :)

Here is a video of Christopher Lee talking about filming the Hobbit back in 2008, he mentions Smaug around 3:14 of the video:

What I am dying to have confirmed is Elrond. Same actor NEEDS to do that role. Has it been confirmed and I just missed it?

@narnian1: No Hugo Weaving (Elrond) has not been confirmed yet, but he is in talks right now. I too am eagerly awaiting to have him signed!

I am so happy Ian and Andy are officially signed!!!!

I was getting a little worried there. :-s I was definitely worried about Ian, but even more about Andy Serkis. He was the best actor in the movies, in my opinion. :D

Yes, I'd like to see Andy Serkis take up Gollum's mantle once again, but I also wish to see him as Captain Haddock (from Tintin).

I am so glad, it wouldn't be the same having some Gandalf-impostor ;)) taking over. I am even more relieved that Andy Serkis is back!! :D

Ithilwen, unfortunately we still have quite a wait for the first Tintin movie. The release will be sometime towards the end of this year, between mid-November and mid-December but what I've read. Looking forward to it!
