Michael Caine is one of my favorite actors. i'm really glad he's going to be in Journey to the Center of the Earth 2. I didn't expect to like the first movie so much but I did.

^^ wow! cool! this is looking good! I can't wait for this movie!

there's a petition on http://www.placeforus.net for an interview with Annasophia Robb and Bethany Hamilton:

Since the last season of Oprah Winfrey's talk show starts next fall, she's taking requests for interviewees. Soul Surfer is apparently set to be released sometime during next fall too, wouldn't it be cool to see AnnaSophia and Bethany Hamilton being interviewed? Sign this petition and show your appreciation for AnnaSophia (and Bethany).

here's the link for the petition: http://www.petitiononline.com/asr_bh/
please sign it!

7chronicles, you beat me to the punch! I was just gonna post that Michael Caine joined Journey 2.

Sounds good to me. I expect it will be a minor(ish) role though.

I heard yesterday that there is a sequel coming out next year to Johnny English. :D I'm way, way too excited about this!! :D I believe it's called
"Johnny English Reborn".

I'm also pretty excited about the upcoming movies:
Easy A
Never Let Me Go
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps

I’m sure most of you know this, but just in case, Martin Freeman is the top runner to play Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit! :D

Here is a side by side comparison of Ian Holmes and Martin Freeman.

I’m personally happy, I think he fit’s the part. I’ve never seen him in anything though, but going by the look of the character I think he is perfect! :D :)

I read about Martin Freeman earlier today, and just forgot about it- because like you, I haven't seen him anything that I can remember. But I definitely know the name. Now that you post the two pics side by side, he fits! sort of resembles the other to me.

Martin Freeman is a very good actor but I've only seen him in English comedies - TV series and movies like: The Office, Red Dwarf, The Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Hot Fuzz, Hardware, Shaun of the Dead and Black Books.

Currently watching:
Doctor Who - Season 11

Isn't the new Journey the one that's combined Treasure Island and the Mysterious Island and half of the strange islands in classic literature? I think I'll pass. :P

Not sure what the plot is now, some of that might still be true but I believe they changed from what they originally announced. I read an article at least about the changes, but I was never able to find it again. But I'm sure at least some of that must still be true.

The trailers for both of VDT's competition premiered online this week. While I'm not worried at all that these films will hurt VDT's box office numbers (different target audiences, genre, etc.) both look really good, especially The Fighter, which is also garnering a lot of potential awards buzz from early press screenings.

David O Russell's The Fighter stars Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, and Amy Adams. The film tells the story of Boxer-turned-Trainer Dicky Eklund. Bale looks absolutely unbelievable just from the trailer alone, and the early talk of a possible Best Supporting Actor for him look very founded. I also hate to say it, but this movie is going to be getting my money on Dec. 10.

The Tourist stars Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. While the film looks well made, I don't really have any interest in seeing it, despite the actors involved. If I do end up catching this flick it will be when it hits DVD. Here's the trailer:

Here's an interesting thing. Spike TV's Deadliest Warrior show has just been green lit for the big screen. The story line is still in progress so I have absolutely no idea what it will entail. We'll see what happens with this.

Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.

Is anyone else somewhat interested in The King's Speech, the upcoming drama starring Colin Firth, Helena Bonham-Carter, and Geoffrey Rush? The trailer (which you can watch here) isn't making me jump up and down, but the cast is fabulous, even setting aside the leads - we're talking about people like Guy Pearce, Michael Gambon, Jennifer Ehle, Derek Jacobi, and Anthony Andrews in the supporting cast. And Tom Hooper is a very talented director who's done some wonderful TV work; his miniseries of Daniel Deronda is one of my favorites.

So, one to watch out for.

Some news for us Lost fans, Josh Holloway (Lost) has joined the cast of Mission Impossible 4! :D
He is playing a secret agent on Ethan Hunt’s (Tom Cruise) task force!
On a side note I personally think both he and Matthew Fox need to be in more movies! :p
