Ok, besides VDT, there are two new movies (oh and besides The Hobbit 1 & 2) I can't wait to see. They are: The Three Musketeers 3D & Legend of the Guardians: Owls of Ga'Hoole Probably one of thosr little reasons why I'm excited (sort of) is because of the actors mainly. The Three Musketeers (The novel, I am not a fan of. I don't like the romance.) stars Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson) as "D'Artagnan", Matthew Macfadyen (Pride & Prejudice 2005) as "Athos", Orlando Bloom (Lotr, Pirates, etc, etc, etc ) as "The Duke of Buckingham" & many others. I just hope that the acting will be good and won't be corny. (the story). And hopefully it will only be PG-13 for action, violence, etc, not sexual stuff *barf*.
The Owl movie, (I am not a fan of the book either) I am just going to watch for the sake of David Wenham & Hugo Weaving.
I heard they're going to be making a new Jane Eyre that's coming out next year. Mia Wasikowska (Tim Burton's Alice) is Jane. Here's a pic:http://www.ropeofsilicon.com/article/first-look-at-mia-wasikowska-in-jane-eyre I don't know if I am going to see Pirates 4. I will if it gets a good rating on rotten tomatoes. Jerry Bruckheimer always gets bad ratings, minus Pirates 1. I think that's the only one I liked besides 2. Pirates 3 was too over the top. Anyways I have videos & picture links for The 3 Musketeers. PM me if you want to see them! -Elf Maiden

Ah, my eyes! Can you please use a different font colour for your posts?
I've seen trailers for the Owl movie. It looks... different. Well, no-one can say owl fantasy movies are in abundance. Could be good.

To be honest, I've pretty much given up hope on Hollywood to make a good movie. With a few exceptions, big studio films rarely do anything for me anymore. There are still several movies that I am eagerly anticipating this year, but with the exception of VDT and The Social Network, none of them are big studio funded films.
Still on my "Must See" list are Let Me In, Black Swan, The Town, Never Let Me Go, Buried, The Fighter, and 127 Hours (and of course VDT and The Social Network).
Oh, sorry about that Warrior 4 Jesus, I'll go ahead and fix that.
I saw the first trailer in 3D when I went too see Toy Story 3. I liked it. I saw the 2nd one on youtube, then I saw a behind-the-scenes video there too. One of the director's first (director or producer) words were: This movie is like The Lord of the Rings. I was like WOW. I wasn't expecting that. Well, that's one way to get people to watch it. I actually think it will be very interesting. If it gets a good rating I will see it. I usually watch the movies that critics like. (The family-friendly or adventure ones. You just have to do your research. I like food ones also. Or anything that promotes moral.) I saw the Social Network trailer, too bkey. I might see it, but it's not a MUST.

I saw a rumor that an adaptation of The Wind in the Willows might be in the works. According to the report, "Peter Jackson's company" (I assume WETA?) will be working on it. That sounds like it could be really good. Has anyone heard info?
bkey,
You must let me know what you think of Black Swan, I originally had no interest in it- but then I didn't know what it was about either. Since Natalie Portman is getting rave reviews I decided to check out the trailer and it looks good. But its genre is stated partly as horror, which I usually don't watch. But it might not really be *that* bad at all so I might watch.
The Town I think looks great. I'll be seeing that opening weekend hopefully. The Social Network is my top priority in October!!
Never Let Me Go is getting a limited release but once it expands enough for me, I will go see it as well. I like Keira Knightly a lot, and Carey Mulligan was great in the two movies I saw her in, last year's An Education and 2005's Pride and Prejudice- with Keira. Back together again, the two of them.
I want to see how Andrew Garfield is, I saw him some time ago in Boy A but nothing since then. He actually will be in both, The Social Network and Never Let Me Go. I wanna see how he is now since he is supposed to be Spider Man, a reboot I am still cautious about.
Kate,
The Wind in the Willows, as I just looked up, will be directed by Ray Griggs (no idea who he is). Supposedly it's set for a 2012 release and will be filmed in New Zealand.
Production Company: RG Entertainment
Special Effects: Weta
I haven't read the book in full, but now that I know about this I will keep an eye on it and possibly read the book in full before then. Disney had a 30min short on it on their DVD The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, but since that was two separate short stories, only limited time was given to it. A full length definitely sounds like fun.
Black Swan looks interesting, though I'm not keen on the more adult content it seems it will have (still it could be tastefully done). I've got to say Natalie Portman's swan face make-up is striking. The movie looks like something akin to a David Lynch movie.

I know how some people feel about Twilight but Breaking Dawn Parts 1 and 2 are now filming just four minutes down my street. I'm not even joking. They began filming last night but I couldn't see anything because they were filming inside and had that part of the street closed off with lots of security guards. Soon they are going to film around a shopping center just across from my street outdoor and I'll see if then I can go and watch some of the filming take place there.
Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!
Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
I heard on the radio today that the church productions that made Fireproof and Facing the Giants are coming out with a new one (I think next year) called Courage. It's about four police officers in different stages of fatherhood...I hope it will be good!
DamselJillPole: that's so cool! Even though I'm not a fan of Twilight, that's pretty awesome that they're shooting so close to your house!
"Are you sure you're eighteen?"
"Why? Do I look older?"
It's Courageous actually, I'm surprised you just found out. (I've known for since it was first announced )
Also, it's already in post-production.
(they also made the lesser known Flywheel)
I'm not a fan of their movies but it's about time fathers got some positive lime-light in the movies.

Even though I’m not a huge fan of Twilight.
I think that’s really cool DamselJillPole that you get to see them filming the fourth movie! That is really neat!
